Wow, this was a great tutorial, I think eBay should include a link to your video as all these adaptors come with NO instructions. Thanks again Ford Merc Guy you are a true legend.
I followed your instructions fitting all good howver now there is a whinning sound from speakers and gets worst when accelirating . Please help if you can I have moved wires/leads away from power sourse but no different
Hi, this does seem to be a little bit of an issue in some cars over other cars. Feed back/alternator/earth interference I believe I've heard people say with this issue you have. Maybe see if there are any youtube video fixes with others installing anything "inline" to help with the interference.
Hi mate, it's been a few years since this install. Refresh my memory. Which blue cable are you meaning? What's a time point in the video? I'll jump to and review.
@Ford Merc Guy 5 minutes in, believe it was for your amp. Couldn't seem to see one on mine, so I wasn't sure if you had an aftermarket amp wired in. Also, any idea what size ring terminal did you have for grounding? Cheers!
Ah yes, I do have an aftermarket amp wired in, so I had doubled up on the same fuse for the switched ignition. Unfortunately unable to recall the size of the ring terminal. Should however be a little smaller than 10mm as from memory that was the size of the nut
Cool! Thanks for the video, I'm looking at doing something similar with my ba. Wandered whether to do this or a separate head unit so I can still keep factory radio look and have amp and sub working off separate unit......
Cheers mate no worries! Yeah I had thought similar things too. Since this was just a cheap daily, I managed to suffice with Bluetooth adapter and in line line level converter and connected my sub and amp to that from the rear speakers as the signal for the amp and it works great. So I'm happy with the factory look and sub and amp + Bluetooth on the cheap. I have Vids on all the above too if it helps mate.
Frustrating hey bro! I'm a little unsure as to why you can't see it. You plugged into the adapter under the dash? In my experience should come up immediately. Have you tried changing modes on the steering wheel cycling through, FM, FM2 , AM and see if aux comes through there?
Two quick questions. Would this work for a TX Territory? And should I disconnect the battery while doing this or is this fine to do while the cars just turned off. Also, does it matter what fuse you go into? No clue about these things as I've never health with car electronics etc. Cheers!
Howdy mate, I haven't worked on a territory with this adapter personally but I always see ebay listings stating falcon/territory so may work fine. And to be safe, sure disconnect battery. I personally use fuses for non major functions just incase it blows one day. Cheers
Ended up picking one up, but cannot for the life of me find the white plug. I've seen plenty of 4 pin plugs, but not the 5 pin. Any idea what might be the issue?
@@FordMercGuy ended up having a real good look on there and taking a bunch of the plastic trims off and thought I found it, but it ended up being an identical piece to what is on the Bluetooth piece, connected to a little box with a label saying "eurovox rc wdf09 RCA harness ford" have absolutely no idea what that is, but then also noticed a red white yellow RCA port drilled into the centre console. From the looks of it the previous owner had something installed, and seems like they've done a half assed job at taking it out. Back of the car looks like a rear view camera was removed, and a random RCA port tucked into the trim along the driver side roof. Might have to take it in somewhere and see what they can make of it.
Ah yes, a previous install. Might be an idea to remove as much of it as possible and start fresh but if time/energy/patience doesn't allow, sounds like disconnect that eurovox adapter and put your Bluetooth one in its place and at a later date remove the old stuff.
Many thanks mate, unfortunately this adaptor only streams music it doesn't have a microphone so caller on the other side can't hear you. There are variants that work exactly the same as this adaptor that also feature a microphone
could you please post the link for the adapter again? It keeps popping up saying that it cant be found on my end. Thanks in advance & thanks for all your videos, they have been very helpful to me recently

Hi mate, with cars never dumb questions. We're all learning. My mum's BF used this same adapter and hers was a 2006. I'd say bf ba in most departments not much changed. Stick your head under your dash boss, double check that plug is the same in your model. Report back here as well in case other bf owners in the future read your comment wondering the same thing
I'm not aware of the AU Falcon having anything similar like this but upgrading the stereo on AU falcon. Much easier! Go that way with a Bluetooth stereo upgrade mate.
I did it the way you did first without the fuse. Adapter anyway it worked for a couple of weeks then all of a sudden it stopped I have tried different fuses but none work any help
If all other radio functions and ICC all working, Maybe the unit got short circuited? Any led working on the Bluetooth module when ignition is on mate?
@@FordMercGuy sorry for the late response but no light I have tried 3 fuses and tried a different earth spot but It gets a little worm when I turn on the ignition

Thanks for your clear instructions

Push am button twice to get aux on older falcons

Hi mate on the ba do you have steering wheel controls for the Bluetooth still
Yes mate all steering wheel controls operate as normal. Since the Bluetooth adaptor is just operating on the AUX function of the stereo output

Hi mate. I can't talk on the phone when I plug this into my car. Is it the same for you?
Correct mate, this unit doesn't have a microphone so audio only. There are some units that do have a microphone naturally a little more expensive.
@@FordMercGuy I bought the one with microphone. But I can’t talk. Do you have any idea ?
Perhaps double check the Bluetooth device settings as you would be able to double check if phone calls music microphone everything is enabled
Will phone calls work through that aux adapter with my smart monitor
This specific adaptor doesn't have a mic in built.
Perhaps if your smart monitor has its own mic. Maybe that would work
