A few things I learned today that might benefit future installers. My window had (factory) plastic brackets glued to it that snapped when the cable broke so I had no choice but to replace the glass as well. So I made an emergency run to my local "Pull A Part" where I paid $22 for a used window. The replacement window was redesigned to eliminate the plastic tabs so it looked different but worked fine. This video saved me over $200 and excluding the time to run to the junk yard, this project took exactly one hour. By the way, the window slides right out with the brackets bolts loosened. Great video, could not have completed without it!!!
I never did thank you for this video tutorial. We replaced the window regulator last year with the help of this video and it's still working great! Fantastic instructions and help. Thank you!
Great tutorial! I just did this repair on our Pacifica using your step by step instructions and it was actually pretty easy--can't thank you enough. It certainly helps to have a helping set of hands and will save you a little time.
im so tired of my pacifica, im ready to be rid of it. I'm going to do this with my husband as soon as we order the part, looks very simple. thank you! i will order from you for sure!
Amazing video, concise and easy to follow. We paused at each step and performed them on our '04 Pacifica. We are appreciative of this video saving us $400. Also have to give a shoutout to Maniac electric parts for a $94 regulator/motor.
Hey. Thank you for this. I ordered from your link got it in 2 days and installed per this video with a friend in about an hour. You saved me over 300 in parts and labor... Thank you again.
Thank you sir, this video really help me... I was come on fort bliss (texas) my window regulator decided to break.. so I pull over and access the problem.. as I try open and closed the window I hear a noise and the window decide not come up at all.. it 39 degree, nighttime and the wind is blowing hard.. At this point I think I fuck for the night! So i get on you youtube and your video show up... i can appreciate the step by step and detail you put in showing how it done! So I drove twenty mins to near 24hrs auto zone where the part cost me Ninety three dollars (include the military discount).. it took me about 15 to 20 minutes to get the parts off the door and another hour to make sure the I set the window regulator in properly... reason it took so long because the motor that was on broke part, I have to remove it and place on the new part.. my window is working fine now but it move slower however it does go up and down, close and open... thank you for the video...
Just what I needed...looks to me that the 2004 's have a problem with this. It was a cold day yesterday and mine busted on passenger side which is rarely used anyway. Happened to drivers side 2 years ago. Will be buying the part with the link. Thanks
THANKS.... CLEAR AND SIMPLE. I did see some people asked how long it took... that would be good to have noted while watching.... I did see you put a wedge to hold the glass up... I have tint So i will be placing the wedge on the OUTSIDE so not to harm the TINT......Some people may not think about that.. Thank you for sharing.... Good Job
+James Hall Great tip, Also the time to replace is about 30 minutes to an hour for a professional. First time do it yourself maybe 1-2 hours, although people vary greatly in skill
Great vid, thanks a lot. Ordered parts and will perform this repair once the replacement part arrives. Chrysler/Fiatchrysler taking 4+wks to get those parts over here to Europe plus it would cost 600 Euros to do this..
I am ready to ditch my Pacifica too. This just broke on mine today. I ordered the part because the dealer wanted 326 dollars for it. He had the nerve to tell me I was paying for MOPAR quality!
This is not relating to windows, and I apologize, but I have a 2004 Pacifica AWD. 2 weeks ago, the autostick feature stopped working, and when the car is in park, or neutral, there are indicator boxes around every gear letter on the dash. I'm just wondering if you might have an idea of how to fix this.
So just recently my rear passenger side window in my Pacifica went out found out it's just the motor regulator still intact still in good condition how do I replace just the motor itself
Amber Marie so first is to compare the price of a motor vs a motor regulator assembly, the motor and regulator work together and many times it is best to just replace both, the labor is actually more to just replace the motor so if it is not a huge price difference, just get the regulator and motor assembly, it is possible you put a motor on now and then in the future the regulator fails and then you ha e to do the job all over again
Auto Parts Direct To You. Thank you , i just did this yesterday and i ordered just the motor its self not the regulator and it was not easy to get the regulator out of the door it took me about 1hr hr30min then i thought to myself after i put it together i shouldbe replaced the whole thing because i dont want yo have to go thru the whole thing again in a couple months.... But long story short your video helped me a lot thanks
awesome, thanks much for watching and commenting, we love when our video helps someone out!! Also worst case scenario if you have to take it out later, you will be much more confident and quicker and since doing it yourself saving a ton of money, so no big deal if the regulator is needed later, it is also possible it lasts for years the way it is.
In my 2006 Chrysler Pacifica, the power windows and power locks all of a sudden don't work on the passenger side of the car. What do you think would cause that?
We would verify the driver side switch and passenger side switches both do not operate either the window or the locks, this would mostly lead you towards the individual parts in the door, or wiring perhaps came loose, of course it is always good to check all fuses but most likely the individual components need inspection, then you would pull the door panel off and see if the items are getting power. If they are getting power and not working, then the motor and door lock may have failed at the same time which is rare, inspect for any water intrusion and make sure that is fixed if it exists.
The length of time it takes varies on mechanical skill level. Some people can do this whole repair in 25-30 minutes and others can take 2-3 hours. As far as getting it cheap, don't forget that you get what you pay for. You don't want to do the job over again and the lower priced regulators online can lead to that. We have our own brand that we have years of experience with and we also offer a lifetime warranty on. The regulators and motors are brand new and the pricing is not the absolute cheapest, we are confident that you wont have to replace it again for a very very long time. Thank you very much for responding so quickly. Confused on regulator Does it come by itself or always with a motor May seem like a silly question but I was going to order one and it Just said regulator never with a motor which does make sense
andria lassiter Many brands exist and they sell them with or without the motor. We recommend the motor and regulator assembly as both parts are brand new and less work to replace the whole assembly. Here is a link to all 4 window regulators for each door. The top 4 parts on this list are the motor & regulator combination: www.apdty.com/ShopByVehicle.epc?q=2004-CHRYSLER-Pacifica-V6--3497cc--3.5l--F/i--Vin--4-Body/cable/misc&yearid=2004%40%402004&makeid=17%40%40CHRYSLER%40%40B&modelid=13821%40%40PACIFICA&engineid=30215%40%40V6-3497cc%203.5L%20F%2FI%20Vin%204%40%4030215&catid=12%40%40Body%2FCable%2FMisc&subcatid=189@@Door%2C%20Window%20and%20Tailgate&mode=PA

Help. For 1.5 months cannot open driver door from inside or out. Chrysler Pacifica 2004.
Approximately how long will this take do if it's your very first time and how can I get cheapest prices on regulator
