  • Chestnut Bonsai Repot & Wire
Mandy (my co-worker) gave me this seedling 3 years ago. I wired a nice curve into it right away, but I haven't done much since. It seems to want to just grow straight up in pairs, but I have some different ideas.
In this video I repot the seedling and add a bit more movement into the new growth.
One day this will make an interesting bonsai

Thank you for watching! There are so many good channels! I think for me, it will be cool to look back at the progress of my trees over the years, and it's a good way to share what I'm doing.

Great job - very interesting species I've never worked with.

Thanks. It will be interesting to see if I can get the leaves smaller. They can get very large.

    What mic are you using?

Well I was lucky and borrowed some good (I think) gear. It's a Sennheiser ME 2 with a zoom f1 field recorder. sometimes I just use my iPhone mic, but I think I might end up saying something I use the mic. - The sound engineering is probably the part I have the most trouble with making videos. It's been really difficult getting everything to sound right.
