Conan is the right-headed guy when you bring in brass tacks but it's the best to see them both being loopy kids. Kidding one another is the high point of male interaction.

Partly true. However, there isn’t huge distinction between theatrical characters and real life personalities. I may react to my own bursts of joy in similar way that Jordan does, even though I’m not doing any particular character. When an unexpectedly intense fun suddenly appears, and makes your body make noises and gestures, and there are other people observing, it’s like a chunk of kryptonite. It dismantles your control, and it’s unnerving. Naturally your defense mechanisms activate when someone pushes the kryptonite on your face. (Even though, actually, the kryptonite is inside you and you crave it).
It seems that the times when Jordan is most amused, is when he is laughing at himself. He is being his authentic self, and it leads him in some ridiculous situations. I remember when I was in the army, and one after another we had to yell our rank and name certain times. When my roommates analysed our performances, they pointed out the very elaborate way I articulated my yell, and it was hilarious for me. Social roles and the interplay between their authenticity and artificialness provide much comedy. To look inside oneself and see something really ludicrous there. It's somewhat common human feature. That is one explanation why people find these Schlansky stuff funny.
For me it is very close between the couple's counseling and the cowboy clothing... I actually cry laughing every time it has the part with conan's little thought bubble of him pulling the bag over Jordan's head lol
The Jordan character is their best character every produced on the show. The way they push the limits and just start rambling about walking in the forest and neither of them can keep a straight face... absolute gold. They must have had so much fun. Would love to see lots of outtakes on this.

@Miguel Melchior Yes. It is very sophisticated with a more stupid surface, like a lot of great comedy. I've never laughed harder at my computer or TV in my whole life. Conan is a great improviser and Jordan is a great foil. Oh, previous most hilarious thing: The South Park movie. I was in a full theater and missed half the jokes because everyone including me was in hysterics the whole time.

Meiji it's probably because Jordan isn't actually like that in real life, it's just a character, so when he accidently breaks character and laughs he calls him a fool because it's what the character would do

However, there isn’t huge distinction between theatrical characters and real life personalities. I may react to my own bursts of joy in similar way that Jordan does, even though I’m not doing any particular character.
When an unexpectedly intense fun suddenly appears, and makes your body make noises and gestures, and there are other people observing, it’s like a chunk of kryptonite. It dismantles your control, and it’s unnerving. Naturally your defense mechanisms activate when someone pushes the kryptonite on your face. (Even though, actually, the kryptonite is inside you and you crave it).
It seems that the times when Jordan is most amused, is when he is laughing at himself. He is being his authentic self, and it leads him in some ridiculous situations.
I remember when I was in the army, and one after another we had to yell our rank and name certain times. When my roommates analysed our performances, they pointed out the very elaborate way I articulated my yell, and it was hilarious for me.
Social roles and the interplay between their authenticity and artificialness provide much comedy. To look inside oneself and see something really ludicrous there. It's somewhat common human feature. That is one explanation why people find these Schlansky stuff funny.

The Jordan character is their best character every produced on the show. The way they push the limits and just start rambling about walking in the forest and neither of them can keep a straight face... absolute gold. They must have had so much fun. Would love to see lots of outtakes on this.

Hes a normal guy who does comedy skits on a comedy show even when he breaks character right in front of you you ignore it. He has even admitted that these are skits and people still want to believe he is this socially awkward robot.

@Miguel Melchior Yes. It is very sophisticated with a more stupid surface, like a lot of great comedy. I've never laughed harder at my computer or TV in my whole life. Conan is a great improviser and Jordan is a great foil.
