I would have completely lost my ish if I dropped and bricked my cinema camera. Kudos for keeping it together and making an incredible film with your "B" cam. Great work as always.

The very same day that we watched your video and what happened to your C200, our camera took a dive straight to the floor while attached on a strong tripod. The only thing that saved the camera, lens and Ninja V was that fat NP-F970 powering the recorder that took the blast. Battery is💀 but it could have been so much worse and can only imagine what you felt.
It's so comforting to see other filmmakers deal with the same issues on shoots, being quite casual, pre-shoot anxiety etc. Poops, loose tripods and all! This was cool to watch man.
NOT THE C200): I hope everything is ok! or at least will be. Other than that this looks beautiful already. Cant wait.
Hey! Great video :) I would be interested in your process of "focal lengths" choices for certain shots / scenes and also about the preproduction process (how do you write script for such film and how do you plan your shots). It just looks really natural in the final product, but there definitely is a huge thought process behind those shots. Do you have the visual in mind before the shoot, or do you just have a general idea? And if you have the vision, how accurate it is? :)

Shooting/hanging out the back of a pick up truck is the ultimate follow car haha You don't need to rent that million dollar Porsche cam car with a crane on the roof. Just hop in my pick up truck haha love it! Got some really really great shots.

As always, awesome video Danny! I know a camera doesn't make the filmmaker, but did have a gear question. I have a C300MkII and have been wanting a 2nd smaller cam as a b cam and have been eyeing the FX3. I know it's a different sensor, mount, and color profile, but have you been able to cross cut between without any issues? For the price and specs seems like the FX3 packs the most bang for it's buck and is a low light beast.

Safe for breaking this whole project down, love to see the thought process behind the work and see how I can apply it to my future projects. Amazing control keeping your head when you dropped your C200 rig, but also I love how it forced you to use a simplistic rig and really focus on doing the best job you could with the tools you had.
Really should be a lesson to all of us who think gear matters or will make us better filmmakers. It doesn't.

I did not think I would be this excited for a cycling film, but I can't wait to see it! I hope you have camera insurance, I just bought a RED Komodo and I am terrified to bring it out on adventure shoots and hikes for the reason of dropping it off a cliff haha.
