Amazing. I joined JND's pre-order event last night and I was disappointed to learn that the C model was not available for sale for USA residents. Although, it may be available to USA resellers but with an added premium. Waiting to hear from Todd.
It's a joke. Paying 1600 for a 1/6 scale that's got a skull behind it you can't see 😂😂😂 they didn't even include the right amount of dogs . I'll wait for my rooted joker fro. Hot toys 😂😂😂
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! I'm glad you think the likeness of the Joker figure is spot on. It's always great to hear feedback from viewers like you.
To be completely honest. I find this a very strange start to their 1/6 scale launch. The InArt version didn't released so long ago and I think that most of the 1/6 collectors are extremely happy with that one. Hot Toys also have a new version. Can it be justified to get a very expensive 1/6 version that the collectors probably weren't asking for? However, there is no doubt about it. This piece is perfect. Especially how excellent the likeness is. There is no doubt about it. The unique new technology is impressive. So maybe they can co exist. The likeness is phenomenal, but we also have to agree: I think and feel that the price is out of reach for a lot of collectors.
I'm really curious to see how he will sell. And even though the pricepoint will be high. If they release a Margot Harley with a likeness like this Joker. Yes then I am in trouble 👍😂
I think it was the best decision to do Joker first as a start of their 1/6 scale. If they would have done a new character they couldn't show that clear that they leveled up the game as there would be no other 1/6 scale of that character to compare it to. The best way to show what they are capable to do is by taking one of the most liked character that every other big studio already did and upgrade it.
So I’m wondering why they charge so much for a 1/3 scale when for $1600 you get all of those components on a 1/6. Surely it costs more to include all the stuff you get in the 1/6 than to make a larger version with no added features. Or am I missing something. Still a great piece though. Just a bit much for a 1/6.
Haha, I guess we all wish the pricing of collectibles made more sense sometimes! But hey, as long as it's a great piece, it's worth considering, right? Maybe they just wanted to make the 1/3 scale collectors feel extra special!
Speaking of JND, will you do a reaction of the JND Wonder Woman JL 1:3 statue Show and Tell video? This Joker is probably the best movie likeness I’ve seen in any scale and I like the innovations JND has done. Unfortunately it’s a cost prohibitive but I understand they are targeting a different market. If I hadn’t just bought the InArt 2 pack, I would of been tempted by this JND Joker.
Haha, I feel you! It's always a tough decision when it comes to splurging on our favorite characters. But hey, maybe one day you'll find a figure that's just too good to resist!
Very impressed by this figure and the innovations JND is bringing to the hobby, I'm really looking forward to seeing how people will display those in their collection. The price point is steep but I'm not shocked considering how high end and nich the product is, congrats to everyone getting it!
We're glad you're as impressed as we are! Who knew a figure could be so innovative, right? We can't wait to see how people will show off their joker collection - maybe they'll even start a joker figure fashion show! The price might be a bit shocking, but hey, we all deserve a little luxury in our lives, don't we?
This is the most incredible likeness in a figure I've ever seen. it's also the most expensive 1/6 figure I've ever seen. Never could afford it, but I must admit that I would love to own it.
I think the regular portrait is waaaay better bcuz of those magnetic eyes. You can put the eyes in different directions partnered with his smirk n can display different emotions in a way.
I agree! The magnetic eyes really add a whole new level of versatility to the figure. It's amazing how something so small can make such a big difference in displaying different emotions.
That head sculpt is the best I have ever seen! It’s as perfect as anyone can get. In my opening noon. It’s just so good. The price point for a 1/6 scale. That’s steep.
Great preview. Definitely an amazing portrait. I don’t do 1/6 scale but the tech looks amazing too. My 1/3 sitting QS rooted hair Joker is still my favorite and I’m glad I own it.
Haha, I guess the 1/3 scale sitting Joker will always hold a special place in your heart. But hey, at least now you have a new contender for the title of "Best Joker Figure Ever Made"!
Great review again! I own the Joker 1/3 and have always been impressed by their tailoring and quality in the statue and overall design, which the exception of the portrait suffers from older painting techniques and likeness is quite off. I’m very pleased again to be able to order this 1/6 version (Type C) and the portrait and the technology just blow my mind. One of the best and comparable to many good custom ledger sculpts. Can’t wait for JND to continue with this line and expand to more amazing characters.
Yeah, the likeness is on point and will be great for any true die-hards to jump on this. The articulated neck and hands without any exposed joints is really cool, but is also a bit of a yellow flag as that can definitely crack over time. You don't want to spend this much on a figure just for the skin to crack open, but hopefully JND have thoroughly tested it out for collectors.
I appreciate your insights on the figure! It's good to know about the potential durability issues. I'll make sure to keep that in mind when reviewing it.
Looks great but way to expensive. I’ll stick with Inart. Not as cheap as hot toys and third party but not as expensive as JND. For me Inart hits the sweet spot
Thanks for sharing your thoughts! Inart seems like a good choice if you're looking for something in between the pricey JND and the more affordable hot toys and third party options.
Thanks for your comment! It's always great to see the enthusiasm for new figures. I'll keep an eye out for any updates on a potential re-do of the 1/3 scale Joker figure.
Many people say this is just 1:6 and the price is insane. However, it might be another option for custom 1:6 collectors or the entry collectors who want to start collecting custom artistic figures. For them, 700~800$ for a figure is not a big deal. In that scene, an unpainted head sculpt is 200~400$. Even some clothes are 1000$. JND gets the point with this. They differentiate with silicone which none of other custom makers did and lower entry barrier with reasonable price.
Ah, the Joker never fails to create chaos, even in the pricing world! But hey, it's all about the love for the character, right? Who needs a budget when you can have a maniacal clown on your shelf?
. Definitely greatest looking statue/ figure I have ever seen ever. Not a fan of their 1/3 . Not a fan of 1/6 collecting however if jnd decides to redo their 1/3 make it a 2.0 and make it just like this 1/6 I would buy it in a heartbeat .this is that wow factor I been talking about !
Dude, I totally agree with you! This Joker figure is on another level! It's like they took all the awesomeness of the 1/3 scale and condensed it into this 1/6 version. It's mind-blowing!
Nope don't think is the best Joker the hyper real is cool but JND face sculpt is not spot on to me it's way to much aged or wrinkled price points are ridiculous also . I'm good with hot toys and partly inart but Hot toys is King. The smiling and regular face sculpts are truly horrendous to me now the glass magnetic eyes are cool along with the hypereal silicone but that's why all the hype is there people are looking at the silicone and designed movements and are blown away by that. Hence why collectors aren't really looking at the face sculpts because they're hyped up by the technology of the seamless movements. Overall the price for this is insane might as well purchase statues as opposed to this . Great video though Chris God bless.
Honesty is always the best policy for me , i do love what they're doing with the next level of mobility and movement just there's a point to which it's almost too much because then you'd have to consider the pricing which it high and that's not considering shipping because according to Optical 20 he's informed the six scale community it's not going to be sold of course to U.S. retailers so like toys wonderland to which I've purchased before charge a hefty price for even 1/6 scale figures and you along with other Statue collectors know the pricing for shipping statues has jumped upwards of 3 to 4 times. Heyoverall shoutout to JND for the creativity in the design with life like mobility and movement intertwining with medical grade silicone but at the hefty price Tag it's really steep. @BatmanStatueCollector
I think they missed the point of 1/6th scale entirely. People collect that scale for a reason. They're cheaper, by a lot and take up way less space. Making a 1/6th $1K to $1700 US is insane. The rich who collect may buy it but they generally collect the larger scales. 99% of people who collect 1/6th won't be able to afford it. Yes, it's pretty amazing but it's not in the price range of those collectors and I myself would never buy it because I collect 1/3rd and 1/4th and most certainly would never spend 1/3rd prices on a 1/6th no matter how well done. I see this not selling well at all except to a very tiny market of people with way more money than sense. Insane and it only emboldens these companies to gouge their customers even more. Companies will be thinking if they're willing to spend this for a 1/6th, what will they spend for a 1/3rd with the same trappings. $5K?
Dude, I totally get it. The price is no joke! But hey, at least you got a good laugh out of it with that "partridge and a pear tree" joke. Gotta find the humor in it, right?
Not feeling the likeness to be honest, and the silicon over skeleton is starting to get into sex doll territory, making me a bit uncomfortable 😂 I love my 1/6 figures to retain some of their action figure heritage, and statues exist for extreme realism. Just my opinion.
I appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts! It's always valuable to hear different perspectives. While this Joker figure might not be for everyone, I hope you'll stick around for more content that suits your preferences!
I think the price reflects the innovation process. Early adopters will have to pay the price. It's a very good likness , but too expensive for me. I will stick with my Hot toys Artisan Joker pre-order for now. I need to see in hand end product photos to make my final opinion as to which will be my favorite for the money. When is this slated to be in hands of buyers?
Stunning piece, way to expensive IMO, I personally do not like posable pieces My 50% off prime 1 1/3 ledger seams like bargain of the century in comparison 😂
And this is why people are being turned off by collecting bc u get overrated cos like JND charging $1700 for two 12” figures!! Never, ever will I give my $$ to this company!

Almost 2k for a 1/6? They're having a laugh. You might as well buy a statue 😂
Well, I guess the joke's on us if we can't afford the best Joker figure ever made! 😄
@BatmanStatueCollector I would use the scale as a justifiable excuse 😂
Likeness spot on good joker figure.price is expensive for 1/6

1/3 scale would be...$8000????
Who needs a vacation when you can have the best Joker figure ever made for the price of a used car?!
Nope, probably about $4500, tops
The way these scale up in price, $4500 would be for the 1/4 scale 😄
It's not a statue of the Joker. It's a statue of Heath Ledger in a Joker costume.
Hey, thanks for chiming in! I totally get what you're saying - it's all about capturing Heath Ledger's iconic portrayal of the Joker in statue form!
@@BatmanStatueCollector Yes, that's what it is - well put.
I plan on getting the B version
That's a great choice! The B version is definitely worth getting.

I want a face version where he said 'hi' to Harvey wearing a nurse uniform in the movie haha
My 1/3rd JND Joker coincidentally got delivered last night from Spec Fiction. Excited to open it tonight sometime.
Wow, talk about perfect timing! Looks like the Joker couldn't wait to make his grand entrance at your doorstep!

This project will make a few people rich, thanks to $1000+ by collectors. I just wonder if only the portrait is made in Korea and the rest from China?
Hard to say
EXTRAORDINARY Heath Ledger Joker statue!!💜💚💜💚

Just a question from left field...does Heath Ledgers family ,mainly his daughter get any residual payments for her Dad's Statues ?
That’s china prices add 25 percent to that or $425.00 more so $2125.00. Plus shipping. These are not made for the US. Absolutely way overpriced.
