I’m a Liverpool fan through and through, and always saw Wayne Rooney as the enemy, especially with his Everton & Man Utd background, even though you had to respect him on the pitch. Have to say that now, I see him in a different light, he’s honest, passionate and a total winner. It takes guts and character to admit to all these dark thoughts, as well as all the off field issues. Definitely one of the greatest football talents of the last 50-60 years. He was tracking back and throwing tackles as a make-shift left-back, he would command the attack and link up the play with his amazing passing range and football IQ. You knew he was gonna give 100% every week. Such a passionate player. And what a rocket of a right foot.
