This idea works because All Gear Tech Cord lays very flat in the pinto and leaves room for a binner. When it is "stuffed" with a buried tail, it has a normal, rounded shape for a prussik. But "unstuffed", right at the pinto, it has an almost rectangular cross section, perfect to allow using the pinto as a snatch block. If you choose another 8mm cordage, you might want to check this out.
