      So true! Along with Kale and fruit salad, I noticed that when I taste anything with cane or high fructose syrup I actually get dizzy. I did not know how bad refined sugar is. It was like being drunk. I avoid it because I have developed an allergy to it.

Try not to keep using the same sugars in order to get different properties from each. Most of the time if I want something sweet, I will eat fruit.👍

    My Doctor said sugar is sugar for T2D. Those called alternative can still spike Bld sugar.

      you are right. Diabetics have to limit their sugar intake. However, they don’t have to restrict all forms of carbohydrates. We can usually allow 30 to 40 g of carbohydrates today. This coupled with exercise and medication if this is recommended by your physician.

    Some of these are okay, but most are expensive especially for some of us on a budget. I'd rather use cane sugar sparingly than stevia - I hate the licorice taste - and dates aren't going to sweeten my morning coffee. Nothing is as sweet as sugar, sorry.

      you’re right, some of these products can get expensive. The best thing is to slowly wean yourself off all sweeteners if possible thanks for supporting my TH-cam channel please continue to watch my health related videos.

    I don't know what you are talking about there is nothing like coconut sugar, it's sugar masked as coconut sugar and bynthe way other substitutes you mentioned are not that great either especially for those with T2D.

    • @DrHanzMD

      Yes, if you are a diabetic, you have to limit your carbohydrate intake to 30-40 grams per day. Thank you for watching the video.

    If sugar is this bad how come Asians are still healthy and alive?They seems to use sugar in cooking to balance all that fermented food like soy sauce,oyster sauce,sake mirin etc.

    • @DrHanzMD
      @DrHanzMD  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      unfortunately, people in Asia are also getting more obese and diabetes is becoming more prevalent. What is important is to monitor your total carbohydrate intake for the day and keep it below 30 to 40 g.

      @@DrHanzMD That's because more and more Asian countries are eating more of western diet,kfc,mcdonald,pizza etc than before.l started cooking a few japanese,korean,Chinese and thai food and l am shocked by all the recipes that calls for sugar.lf it has soy sauce,which most dishes do there is certainly going to be sugar.And these foods have been going for centuries now,yet the people have always been healthy.Surely there must be a better explanation why this is so?Japan with all that sugar in almost all their food are the healthiest nation on earth.😀 Thank you.
