    The Ford engineers said that the 10r140 is is made to run at 247° all day if it needs to. That number is crazy to me, but I'm consistently at 212°-220° when towing.

      @time_on_target ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Same for me. 220 towing our big 5th wheel toy hauler.

      @oldnumber6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@time_on_target this was a very scary number coming from a Ram with a 68RFE. When that thing hit 200° I was sweating bullets!

    Definitely an impressive truck. 0-60. Was fantastic way better broken in then a brand new 20 mile truck. But very high trans temp. My 23 Duramax only runs at about 140 and 160-175 towing. But I’m sure ford knows what their doing with all that HP and torque going into that trans. Guess we’ll find out if there’s a problem down the road. Great video J

    yeah, I noticed that the other day as I was cruising on country and interstate road. My brain picked up 189+ and it goes up to 210 degrees. So I found it to be pretty high, specifically when cooland and engine oil stays around 180+ constantly.
    Hope the high temp wont be an issue that'll impart reliability down the road.

  • @matthewanderson9912
    @matthewanderson9912 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    That 0-60 was pretty impressive for sure.
    I also definitely heard you mention about the 10 speed gearing maybe masking those high rear ends lol.
    All I’ll say for the transmission temperature is that heat kills automatic transmissions. So 200 range is probably not terrible but if it gets up over 220 steadily I’d say that’s too hot.

    JB just do a Collab with a tuning company, it'll be fun, plus and engineer can answer everything about torque management

    Did you change your mileage in your trip to account for the bigger tire size? Otherwise it will be off some in the hand calculation.

  • @zac2380
    @zac2380 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ford is killing it in the engine department. You need to test a broke in 24 Duramax power braking. I know it’s down on power on paper but I think it will still give ford a run for it’s money 0-60.

    • @ziggy149
      @ziggy149 ปีที่แล้ว

      This has already been done on TFL - it does not give the Ford a run for its money. Not even a little bit at any point from start to finish.

    Wow that's a big difference. How bad are you missing your mega cab? Too bad you can't line up all three(ford, Ram and Chevy/Gmc the same day sameday.

      TFL trucking has already done this

    Which has the worst dead pedal? The powerstroke or duramax?

  • @jasoncox2132

    Car and Driver is saying 5.5 0 to 60. Maybe the 35/12.5’s are hurting it. Cause even the non high output 6.7 runs a 6.1. And they said it was a crew cab 4x4. 👍🏼

    I don’t know how Ford gets away with it. Their computer is ALWAYS higher than actual mpg no matter who is doing the test. And you can say the same for EPA estimations

    Well good vid, but the gas calculation is not very accurate on your part. I drive a 23 f350 dually with 35’s and average around 16 town driving and have seen 20 right at 75mph for extended periods

      Bullshit……everyone of these comments is bullshit. I get 17 if I’m lucky with stock tires in an f250 hand calculated

      Its funny because some of them that hand calculate end up getting accurate numbers on the gauges and others are off by 1mpg.

    No programming by ford limits anything for the first 1k miles. I pulled at 150 miles and saw 34 psi and lots of def usage 😂

    Are you trying to mislead us? When you were talking about he exhaust brake you were manually downshifting the truck. It was in 10th gear and you threw it all the way down to 3rd. I like you videos and I've watched for years... but that's sort of shady! PS They have engine brakes and not exhaust brakes from my understanding.

    You didn’t have an Aisin trans in your Ram. 68RFE.
    Come on man.
