I've noticed the girls who use gel as a holding product when doing wave formers get better results and no frizzy ends. So the products you use help you control how it looks.
Yea me too, but I do not like using gel for sets like these.. but I may try it again with gel and see what happens.. I just like the airiness of mousses
Bubs Bee You could try a denser mousse. A few years ago I used the Curl Construct mousse from Garnier. The set lasted a week and the crunch went away after a day.
Buying shorter wave formers is the key. Everyone gets the longer ones, but the short ones leave the ends free so you can put rollers on the ends. Your results were great!!
@@unalteredbeauty1246 same been loc for a year and 3 months mine are down to neck started off with a shaved head now its pony tail length can't wait for my second year #dread flow goals 😍💯
As soon as you said “tender headed” I took these shits out my cart 😩😂 I’m sorry but I’m 28 and still catch myself crying when I do my hair. Ain’t got the time, patience or tears. All my life, my mother called me hard headed though. Interesting ....
After installing them if you feel your scalp hurting just squeeze them at the base and pull them down a little less than an inch away from the scalp. They don't have to be directly on your scalp for good results. I used to install the curlformers all the time and would have to always pull them back after installing because I'm tender-headed too and that always worked.
In the end it turned out good because you played around with it and made it work. I'm so inpatient I probably would have got mad at the first day results and brushed the curls all out. You taught me something about patience when doing my hair. Great job!
I see a lot of people think “this” is too much work, but I’m a natural 4c curly girl, and this looks amazing! I ordered mine from Temu and got 40 for $8, and received it in 1 week. Ladies it takes effort to look good, and feel good. Don’t knock it till you try it 😊
Hunny pleeeease give me the Temu product description?! Cause you’ve convinced me! lol! If I knew Temu sold these I would’ve bought them along time ago! Thanks in advance!!❤
Damn. If I didn’t know any better, I’d say those wave formers relaxed your hair. 🧐 Lol! Nah, this style came out REALLY well! Probably because your natural hair is so thick and pretty. 😍
GIRL I PASSED BY THIS VIDEO AND HAD TO COME BACK BECAUSE I THOUGHT THE WAVE FORMERS WERE YOUR ACTUAL HAIR. I WAS LIKE THATS THE HAIRSTYLE GIRL??? PFFT. 😂😂😂😂 IM SO SHOOK, ANYWAY THE FINAL PRODUCT LOOKS BEAUTIFUL!!

No idea how this showed up in my recommended feed, but I think your hair looked AMAZING after you fluffed it up! I love this style, and it really works for you!
yes girl, volume saves a hairstyle 😍 there’s times where i would rather have a second day and third day twist out rather than first day because it has more volume
I thought I was crazy. I have the curlformers and I also run into the issue of pulling hair. I haven't figured out the technique, but this is. A helpful tutorial. Thank u
I just got a curlformer set and found the same issue. I tried hooking the hook on the last 1-2 inches of hair and pulling it through from ends to root. I only tested a few out, but it was definitely less stress on my hair/roots. I plan to do a full set on the weekend and see what happens.
One Thing I've noticed with all the wave formers videos on TH-cam is that Everyone who uses the hook has the opening facing down, You're Actually Supposed to have the open part of the hook facing up when pulling your hair through ( Doing so makes it easier to pull your hair through & It doesn't get caught a lot & Tangle).
When you said VOLUME lol 🤣 you really made it work well for you. After you removed them it looked like you had relaxed hair 😮 almost straight. Thanks for letting us know it's not tender headed friendly. I've never used curl formers and I won't because the process is way too tedious and tricky for me.
lol thank you, yea I need big hair in my life sis. and yes it is definitely not tender headed friendly at all . so I will not use theses often at all .
You did a fantastic job with this video! Great tutorial on putting them in, well explained!! The end result actually looks super cute on you , you have gorgeous hair to begin with. Thanks so much for taking the time to show how these work !!!
Well I have to say that with you working on fluffing your hair and fixing it up, it came out really nice I liked it a lot 😄👍 you're a beautiful woman and the curls looked great 👍👏
Hey Bubs I love your videos! (I find your voice so relaxing). A quick suggestion for the redness on your hand. I wrap a thick hair tie several times around the bottom of my rods. Initially it was just to keep my formers from slipping off the other side but it has an extra benefit of grieving me a better grip and not dealing with the friction of the ridges they have on the bottom.
No cause' I'm so happy to have found someone with the same texture as me, with results that give me hope to try more new things with my hair. Especially being that I'm kind of new to the influencer world. Super stoked to have came across your channel! Thanks sis
I thought it was just me who is extremely tender headed. I mean my scalp is very sensitive. I really liked the wave former hairstyle on you. It looked great.
Yea I was thinking that, but I don't like the feeling of using gel for these types of sets... and still my ends would have curled, no gel truly gets my ends super straight. My kinks are resilient hahahaha but maybe I will try that next and see, thanks

I'm super excited to try these - I roller set my hair each night and this just looks so much simpler. I wish they made straight ones to straighten your hair overnight. I use murray's wax on my ends and that holds longer / better than gel while smoothing the hair down. Its wax too, so you only have to apply it once a week rather than each day like gel for roller setting. Super excited! Thanks for sharing this, I was skeptical it would work on afro hair.

We don’t talk about stretching 4c hair enough. It’s a very healthy technique to avoid breakage along with combing and moisturizing.
