In the video, you mention using the Rutus on the beach. I live in Dover and I'm looking to buy my 1st detector. The sandy part of the harbour beach is covered by the tide. It does have black sand but I'm not sure how extensive it is. Can you give me any idea how well the Rutus works on wet/black sand, please? (I only have a push bike and anticipate doing more beach detecting than going "inland")
It's OK for beach use mate but of the majority of your detecting is wet sand then it's not the best. Having said that it's much better on wet sand than the Ace range people often start with. Nokta Makro Anfibio may be worth a look although it is another £200
@@peakyfindersmetaldetecting6756 I've briefly looked at the Antifibio and will check it out again (might have another look at the Kruzer, too). At the moment I quite like what I've seen and read of the Makro 2 Racer - would you recommend it? There's also the new Nokta Simplex+ that's "supposed" to become available at the end of August - trouble is, that's another 3 weeks of the summer slipping away and I bet there will be a delay, anyway!
Hi mate, it's not available just yet but it when it is released you will need to send your machine to Detecnicks in Arundel and they can update. Its worth doing though I think.
