Hi, seems like a fair test. I have had my Alter 71 for nearly a year now, and a year in it still performs well above its price range. The shaft is nice and stiff, the whole unit is well balanced, and the battery life is also very good. My friends will tell you, my Rutus is a Silver magnet, I have found loads of silver since I bought it, and to top it off I found a Celtic gold stater too. If I lost my Rutus, I would go and buy another immediately . Happy new year.
