I overthink things because the French Philosopher Voltaire said "no problem can withstand the steady onslaught of sustained thought." Many people jump to conclusions before the lightbulb goes Eureka! If you don't know yet, you have to keep considering until you are sure you do. Its more to the definition of what is a square solution and what is a not. Its an entire take on life to simply want to be competent in a world of people that accept living in a daze.

I find it easy to make friends but a lot are too draining on my emotional resources (I am a good listener and offer good advice). I have alone time to recharge. My really close ones are similar to me. We meet up for heart to heart chats but also have time away from each other for time and space.

  • @c.c.1070

Being a sigma can both be easy and difficult at times. Being a sigma comes easily and natural to me, but the difficulty is the result of others doing. When I was in my mid 20’s late 30’s, I could go out at night to a bar or club where I live w/ my older brother. I wouldn’t pay no mind to people that I didn’t know, bcuz I was always the type that if I didn’t know you I wasn’t gonna pay you no mind. I was always a well mannered and respectful person to those that I crossed paths with, but I was in my own world no matter what I did. Yet it seemed like there was always somebody that took in a negatively way, and felt the need to be confrontational. I never started anything, but I also was the type that I’m not letting anyone disrespect me physically. My brother never could understand and would say that I just had a look about me and it was just my presence that I imitated those that didn’t know me. The funny thing, it was always the Alpha type males that would have the problem with me 😂.

We are trapped in a world of bipartisan thinking. Almost everything in this world is being restricted to either black or white, yes or no, on my side, or enemy, agree or disagree, etc.
Being in the mindset that everything is a shade of gray, from the whitest gray to the darkest Gray...
Yes, it is, has been, and is increasingly more difficult to fit into society, and have the majority of individuals actually understand any other viewpoints except for left or right (not a political reference).

Thank you my brother/sister. Very kind of you to say.
I used to love writing poetry, but then, I guess, I 'grew up."
But for your kind response, it pleasures me to visit the past in this manner. So please allow me to paraphrase my response according to your request:
We are trapped in a world where no one is thinking.
Stuck in black and white while our gray ship is sinking.
If you're not my friend, you're my enemy.
No longer can we agree to disagree.
Where do I start; where do I begin?
It is so hard for me just to fit in.
There is no "except" nor "and," 'if," or "but."
Only this you will believe, and I will tell you what.
This is not for me, and I count the days until I go.
Leave this world to those who want to follow he who wanders to and fro.
I hope you enjoyed it. I have not written poetry in many years, going on decades, and it's about the best I can do on a single draft, at the spur of the moment.
      Best wishes & kind regards.

After 45 years, I finally know what I am. I so happy to see that I wasn't the only "wierd" kid in the friend group. I never had a problem making friends, but most of them fell by the wayside because they didn't "get" me. It never really bothered me as I preferred to spend a lot of my time alone anyway. The few close friends that I have left thankfully think the same way I do, which I describe to people as trying to solve a problem forwards and backwards at the same time, while simultaneously running multiple scenarios in my head trying to reach the desired conclusion, and finding the correct answer somewhere in the chaos. 😂 After reading a lot of the comments, I'm glad to see that I'm not alone in this, but I still prefer to be.

I've tried for years to explain my thought process and the closest I came was the "half a square theory". Okay, so, most people attempt to remember how to calculate the area of a triangle by remembering the formula, one half base times height. Most can't, and I've asked. I always saw a triangle, from day one, as half a square or rectangle, and thus, it's simply length times width divided by 2, nevermind the garbage formula. I see it as things as they are, everyone sees things as they figure they need to see them.

Don't know what to say... uniqueness is costly affair, society is boring, running behind money is even meaning less, nature is awesome and makes u peaceful..staying alone is enough, meditation is an amazing tool to see within, opening new dimensions of yr self is surprising, the bounds and rules of society the stereotypes and mindless rules regulations irritating, the self centred people makes it difficult to breathe oh common lots of things...of all non interference and independence is the best...

  • @aaronsterlind6334

I'm only interested in expressing my opinion when it's unpopular, preaching to the choir has no function at all and produces no fruit whatsoever. Most people are afraid to speak their mind, I am not, when I express an unpopular opinion, I open the door for those who are too afraid to speak their mind, especially to those who are terrified to be the one to speak up. I have no feeling whatsoever towards anyone's opinion of my opinion, that is to say, I don't care at all what they think of me, I'm not afraid of anyone but I highly respect the quiet guy in the corner with the sharp clear eyes, I always find him first. I'm generally only interested in doing things people tell me I can't do, as long as those things don't violate my values and morals. This is why, in almost every job I've had, I've become the boss rapidly and anytime I was the boss, I made the owner more money then they ever thought possible, by doing what people said, can't be done. Interestingly, I've been fired from everyone of those jobs in almost the same amount of time because I get them to a place they feel comfortable in which they can do what I did and they always tell me, even though there is no fault of mine, that they are afraid of me, and, even though, I've rarely had occasion to hurt anyone in my entire life. To be fair, the few people I did hurt, who pushed me beyond my limits, I destroyed, even though I'm quick to forgive and happy to do so, I also calculate the serious consequences to causing harm and abhor the idea. Sometimes, bad people need to be stopped and no one wants me doing that calculation, thus, even though it's easy to get along with me, I never use violence as a tool for manipulation, I'm still the person people who know me are most afraid of. It took a long time for me to even understand that but at 51, I've figured it out and come to live with it.

I'm not concerned about anyone else's opinion. I don't explain myself unless I feel the explainee is going to understand. Usually, the other person isn't worth my time.

Nailed it. Mostly No Person in my Life is Willing to invest in an objective topic, deep enough, to reference clear positions without any moral loaded or selfcentered opinion spreading. I can't overhear/overanalyse meanwhile others talking, how much just of "personal feeling expression" is within holding a conversations topic, instead of diving into truth-path-finding of that topic. They even tend to mess around with topics and follow their Gut, even those who'm i would call "rational". That often leads me to to my Introvert Stuff again, after spending a while with others or close ones.

My brain doesn’t necessarily race but I do have several sections of brain operating at any given time simultaneously. I have one brain section that hardly ever sleeps. Sometimes I wake up startled with a solution to something I’ve been pondering. I think I have many other sigma traits.

Ha! That's funny, my nickname was "Gint" as in AaronGint or arrogant. I never liked it, for one, I don't like nick names and never use them and two, I never considered myself arrogant, I just refused to go along with "wrong" for the sake of going along or getting along. I was however more than happy to go my own way, no hard feelings, if others wanted to do things their way. Their game, they are free play how they want, I'm free to walk away and that always baffled, even, angered people, that they couldn't compel me at any time ever, I guess they saw that as arrogance.

Thats where i struggle. Getting my thoughts across. What i know and think cannot be explained easily to most people. And my addictions are hindering my progress. I woke up a while ago but only after i tried so hard to fit in and that nearly destroyed me. Ive found my joy in life and escaped the matrix, im alone but not lonely, im free but feel trapped. Im nearly their in my potential but ive a few things to work out yet

Star signs may have some validity, hear me out.
Imagine you are programming a universe like ours. Would you randomize the traits of humans or have an orderly way to predict which one would be like before he is born? Order over Chaos?
Many things in our universe are very orderly and have rigid rules and structure. Could this be true about personality traits?
There may be order and perhaps stars are the decoder ring of personalities. It's not impossible.
