Great filing Edna, we don’t always need professional standard everything - much better being real. Loved your positivity in all the adversity of cold and rain - don’t know how you do it. Great cycling too btw - good days fully laden in bad weather and hills etc. I’ve never done LeJog but still hop to try one day. Ride safe. 😊
Thank you so much Charlie!! I really appreciate your kind comments and support. I do hope you’re able to try a LEJOG run one day (if you want to)! It’s such a fun adventure & I feel so grateful to have had the opportunity to do it! 😊
Just finished binge watching this 🏆🏆🏆 I'll never make it to the European or uk cycling opportunity's but i can dream and still move my old bones bikepacking Australia 🦘 My daughters partner is from "lands End" area, its been a wonderful time watched vicariously through your vids. Keep on keeping on ☮️🦘☮️
Oh thank you so much for your kind words and for watching the whole series!!! I am so glad you enjoyed it & that’s so neat about the connection to the Land’s End area! What a beautiful part of the world. Bikepacking Australia is no joke and it’s awesome that you are doing it! Cycling keeps us young 🤣🚴♀️😁. Ride on! 🚴♀️🚴♀️🚴♀️
Thanks for sharing I enjoyed watching. You braved some awful weather. A contrast to my LEJOG 2018 Hot and dry had 10 minutes rain in Sutherland just got the jacket on and it stopped.
Thanks for the videos Edna, I love your positivity; I surely would have spat my dummy out of the pram with the bad weather you had! I guess we get it easy over here in NZ. Was cool bumping into you in AKL the other week 🙂
Thank you so much Chris!! 😊 And haha somehow I think you’d have done just fine under similar circumstances or worse 🤣 but I so appreciate your kind words! It was so much fun running into you in person too & thank you again for saying hello (despite my shock and surprise 🤣)!! Good luck with your upcoming LEJOG too and hope to run into you again sometime!

Well done, thanks for sharing the vidoes. As for coming back in the summer hopefully it would be warmer (so far no sign of it here yet ) but the roads will be a lot busier.Well done looking forward to your next adventure.
Thank you so much! 😊 And yes I have to keep reminding myself how fortunate I was to have such empty roads and trails! Definitely one huge upside of cold and rainy weather riding! 🤣
Thanks for sharing your journey with us! I hope you have something else planned in the not so distant future!! Will go back and watch your previous journeys!!
Thank you so much for following the journey!! Yes I'll share an update on what's next once I actually know what it is haha, but I'll definitely be doing another adventure in the next couple of months if not sooner! In the meantime I hope you enjoy watching the playlists from my previous rides!! :-)
Amazing achievement, well done. I've loved watching your progress. And especially well done for doing it at that time of year. I'd only do it in spring, early or late summer.
Well! What a wonderful journey you’ve shared with us, thank you so much for taking time and trouble to film and edit this lovely series of films. I did the bike ride myself in 2021 with my little dog riding up front in a bike basket. We took over 30 days but we had it much easier with sunshine most days. I hope you come back and do the NC500 - that will be another interesting bike ride. Thank you again Edna 🤗👍🏻
Thank you so, so much for following the journey and for your very kind comments with every video! Amazing that you had your dog with you for the ride in 2021!!! What fun. :-) And yes I sincerely do hope to make it back for the NC500 & hope to share that journey here too whenever I make it happen! :-)
Hello Edna, When you saw the first sign for John O'Groats I feel sure it felt amazing... a big CONGRATULATIONS on completing this adventure... See you next week... Take care. Paul,,
Thank you Paul!! I was just going through the comments here (to try and find one that I got a notification for last night but I think disappeared?), and I realised I never responded to your note here from a couple months ago! Thank you so much!! I hope to pick back up the videos again soon!!
Congrats Edna, you are one brave soul to head out there in fall!! I ended my trip in Wales because if the wind( and a few other reasons) and that was in summer 😂 more later 🙏
Thank you Arjan! Ahh yes I hope you have the chance to return for the rest of your ride!! I've so enjoyed having you along for this series & thank you so much for following and for all your support!!!😊 And yes more soon!!! 😆
Congratulations on doing LEJOG , Edna! And making such an interesting collections of videos! I did LEJOG in April this year on my ebike (im 67yo) and although taking different route, I recognised so many scenes from your videos and brought back many great memories! On my trip I only had 4 days dry, so like you I experienced the limitations of so-called waterproof clothing! I was intrigued with your solution in the glove department - what did you actually have on your hands and was it effective for warmth and dryness? I never managed to crack this one. But well done again on cycling so well and making this fantastic log of your journey and I'm sure you will have inspired many people to do the route!😃
Thank you Barry! Ah well done to you on your LEJOG too!! Yes I suppose both April and October would yield similarly fickle weather patterns! I started wearing nylon gloves (like cleaning gloves) under my “waterproof” cycling gloves in Edinburgh and that did help! I have also seen bikepackers using even thicker rubber cleaning gloves (like for washing dishes) and that was going to be my next move if needed! Thank you so much for your kind words and support!
@@ednanovak Thanks, Edna! A couple of good suggestions that I will try ! I suspect that wearing a pair of bright yellow Marigolds (a leading brand of washing-up gloves in the UK) may attract some ridicule from my friends, but if keeps hands dry and warm, I can live with that. All the best for your future adventures 👍
@barryjohnston4306 thank you! Haha yes I am pretty sure I looked ridiculous with rubbish bags around my feet and the bottom of my legs also, but it was well worth the benefit of not losing my toes due to frostbite 🤣😁
@ednanovak got a pair of Marigolds (black extra strong!) And living in Perthshire I should have plenty opportunity to test them out! Will let you know how they get on!
Edna, coming back in the Summer??? you do know we only have 2 days! the start of Summer and the End of Summer. Oh and that's when you meet the MIDGE'S. 👾👾👾👾
Hahaha between the midges and the summer traffic, I am beginning to think my cold & wet October timing was ideal actually! Thanks so much John for all your support and fun comments through the journey! 😊
Congratulations on completing another epic ride. How did your ground-effects rain jacket hold up in all that bad weather? I completed the TA this year, thanks for the inspiration. My Ground effects jacket leaked like a sieve during my TA ride. They have fixed it now.
Hi Richard!!! Thank you!! 😊 And uggggh a leaky jacket would have been miserable on the TA!!!! How did they fix it? Fortunately I did not experience that issue & really loved my Ground Effects gear throughout the ride. My only regret was leaving behind my waterproof booties (which I’d gotten at MEC in Auckland). I haven’t ever felt the need to wear them in NZ actually but if I ever do another ride in the UK in spring or autumn I will be bringing them with me along with maybe a wetsuit! 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you Darren!!! 😊 I haven’t decided yet but will do so soon!! Definitely hoping to do another one in the next few weeks & will decide where soon!!! 🚴♀️
Well done Edna, just watched your entire Lejog. Chapeau, really enjoyable couple of hours with you and your bike!
Thank you so much! That is so lovely to hear :-)
Great adventure with great coverage in your videos. Well done and I look forward to your next adventure. 👍🏻
Thank you!! 😊

Wishing you every happiness in your future rides.

Thanks for sharing I enjoyed watching. You braved some awful weather. A contrast to my LEJOG 2018 Hot and dry had 10 minutes rain in Sutherland just got the jacket on and it stopped.
Thank you, Paul!! I think a hot and stuffy LEJOG would have been equally challenging if not even more so!!! Thanks so much for your kind words! 😊
Outstanding Edna👍I did my LeJog in September following a route very similar to yours. Your videos brought back some great memories.😃
Ah thank you so much for sharing Billy, that's really nice to hear!!! 😊
Well done !! You're so positive ,unlike a lot of people who do these type of videos all they do is moan .
Thank you so much Kevin for following along & for your kind words!!! 😊🙏
Congratulations, I have enjoyed watching your eventures!
Thank you so much @Donnajago !!
Nice one Edna, very courageous and encouraging. Amazing endurance. Have a rest now😊
Thank you so much Stephen for following along and for your very kind comments!!!

What a fantastic achievement hope you enjoyed the journey thanks for taking us along.

Very very cool.
Thank you!! 😊
Well done.🎉 I might try some legs up to Scotland this summer from northern England but I don't think I could do the whole trip.
Thank you so much!!! And enjoy!!! Northern England and Scotland would be so gorgeous to cycle through during the summer!! :-)
Congratulations, that was a bit tough at times
Thank you! 😊 And yes there were some rough days there! 🤣🙏

Snakes come out to the road at night to get warm! I guess sheep do during the day! I hate snakes!
Hahaha oh my gosh yes I much prefer sheep to snakes too!! :-)
