I genuinely cannot stress enough how fun the Untitled Goose Game is lmao. I know it's stupid, and most of you are going to be thinking, "really, Sydney?" but if you have a girlfriend/wife/fren who wants to play it with you, give it a go. It's a cute little time.
It's clear Liz never played video games because not everything is violent. I'm sure many of us learned to drive on PS1's Gran Turismo or some other similar game. I started snowboarding because of Cool Boarders. Some games are problem solving. Are there violent, combat-based video games? Absolutely. And they're fun and can be de-stressing (if you're not super wired and trying to win a tournament or something), and if you play multi-player, actually leads to better communication skills because you need to convey certain information in a clear, quick, and concise manner because you're player's lives might depend on it if you don't want to lose or start the level all over (think LASO), and other people need to speak. This is no different than pilots on the radio communicating with ATC. I'm sorry Liz, I like you, but on this one, you're dead wrong. Also, a lot of women play video games, including the same ones men do, and many people have made good friends playing, especially the HALO (2 & 3) and COD communities. What's her take on men (and women) who watch sports but don't play them as their hobby, or like fantasy (insert sport). I'm pretty sure that doesn't fit any of the listed categories women find attractive. I think it's more important to have hobbies in common you can so with your SO, regardless of what they hobby might be. It's all about connection and bonding. Almost forgot, Henry Cavill games, and is known for it. What's women's take on him. I'm pretty sure they would say he can game all he wants. The double, even triple standards, is ridiculous.
There's nothing more attractive than a woman enjoying video games. Even trying new games together or enjoying party games would be super fun. Especially funny if it's such a strange game like the Goose Game you mentioned. Or Goat Simulator. That would be an endless supply of laughter 😂 On another note, I find it absolutely mind-boggling that, although video games are finally normalised in society, it's again being trendy to view down on gamers with arrogance and disgust. I mean... look, girl, just sit in my racing seat and enjoy some sim-racing and I guarantee you will enjoy it.
People still watch the Kardashians? The Bachelor is still on air? I looked it up, it really is still on. Damn. I thought it was off the air a decade ago. Dramas are my vice, btw. And books.
Yep, my two sons will grow up in this sick-world. Need to teach them to be highly-resilient and not react to the constant hate and discrimination they will receive through their lives. All based on the simple fact they were born male.
True, I'm trying to think of a hobby that would be a huge turnoff for someone I'm dating and I can't think of any mainstream hobbies that would stop me from dating someone.
@@Aaron-kj8dv there doesn't have to be a reason why gaming is so stupid but also fun at the same time. "oh it's unproductive", so what!? So is everything... But it is unattractive. We don't have to invent a rationale.
My brother and I have been playing The Elder Scrolls Online again recently, and during a quest we were doing, I noticed that another player was having trouble with the puzzle in the room. So I got his attention by walking in front of them and jumping. Once they were paying attention to me, I walked to each glyph he needed to activate and shot at them with my bow. He then traded 1,000 gold to me and sent me a message thanking me. A game can still be social even if you don't use a mic.
They can't grasp that concept. Just like they can't understand that in a lot of games you are developing both intelect and gaining knowledge solving puzzles or finding new ways to solve problems in your games. You can actually learn a lot about real activities (like fishing, hunting, cooking, building....) through a game. And, in many cases, you develop social skills like leadership qualities, working communication skills... etc. If anything, it would be time cossuming and productive for them to actually learn this is posible and true in many cases but instead they choose to spend time on tik tok and criticising others who actually have real interests
@@luissimoes2645 I genuinely get most of my money saving knowledge by playing F2P MMOs with auction systems and/or inflated economies and microtransactions. I'm black and I never had a problem with gaming having white male leads, because all I cared about was the games. Not to mention games have always been diverse
I’m a girl and never cared if I had to play a male character, of any color. Blue, red, brown, white. Just don’t care. I simply enjoy the game. Is there something wrong with us? My character doesn’t have to look like me.
“As a man, you can’t have hobbies. All of your time should be dedicated to making money for me to spend and to make me feel good.” That’s the general consensus of that discourse online.
I am a women happily married to a gamer not a problem for me. I love video games, drawing, video editing, crocheting, and other hobbies. Hubby never gotten after my hobbies. I cannot understand these women who cannot stand other people happy.
@XxHeavensXAnglexX there’s unhappy people everyone both female and male. Some people really just can’t stand the fact that someone else can be happy, without needing the other person even moreso. Jealousy also comes into play because the partner may want the attention of the other 100% of the time. I’ve seen this with a couple of men when they have children and start becoming jealous of the child getting more attention than them. Same thing with women and men playing games “me me me I want the attention” type vibes. It really comes down to jealousy and being unhappy/being self-centered. That’s the way I see it atleast.

For a couple of my exes, the real issues were me having friends and having interests. If women consider men who are gamers to be a red flag, then men should consider women who are "anti-gamer" to be red flags as well. Fair is fair after all.
Women: Why are you playing videogames? It's such a waste of time and money, and we don't find it attractive! Men: Why do women put on make-up? it's very expensive, takes up a lot of time and, often, we find it unattractive. Women: Excuse me, but we don't put on make-up for men, we enjoy it and do it for ourselves. Men: Exactly.

As a teenage girl, I made the mistake of listening to others saying that video games were a boy's thing. Took me years to stop giving a danm about there opinion and finally accept that part of me. Now, gaming is a way decompress and escape reality, and it even helped bond with my brothers and make new friends.
My ex despised me for having hobbies - Shooting guns/bows, gaming, ice hockey, flying drones - She was spiteful because she couldn't find anything that she enjoyed doing, and somehow expected me to provide something she could enjoy outside the home. Very much the reason she's an ex.
Yea, I hear you. Thankfully my wife is happy with my hobbies . And yea she struggled to find a hobbie for herself but never stopped me. Now she has an expensive hobby called Disney and it's costing us a fortune. Ha. But she's worth it

Fun fact: books actually were stigmatized when novels became more easily accessible to more people. Reading for pleasure was seen as not good, anti-social behavior.
Nevermind that, WRITING was stigmatized as a threat to memory. When you think about it, these are actually labour issues rather than social ones. Once upon a time, people memorized stories and songs and made their living reciting them. Then someone came along to threaten their jobs with this new fangled thing called writing that made memorization completely redundant. Who needs to pay someone for memorizing the Iliad when any moron can keep a physical copy of it at home? What would become of the story-tellers when all of the stories were written down? Writing would be the death of art! Later still, someone invented the printing press...
Fun fact: Most learned writing until that time was in verse and was written by better educated people. The objection to novels wasn't so much that it was "anti-social" but rather that it was poor writing, low English. The issue is similar to the initial objection to comic books, the difference being that comic books really don't require much facility with language. English continues to suffer, from proper writing to comics, from comics to video games.
Another Fact : Most average minds hates people that are smarter than average because they are used of hearing that not doing any efforts in your works is okay. You surely seen it or witnessed it. A smart person being picked at because they are not your average person.
It's worse. It's woman complaining about what they THINK video games are, and applying that as a justification for complaining about guys who partake in that activity. In other words: It's plane old toxicity.
I’ve been on both sides of this as a man and as a gamer since I was 6 years old. I’ve been in three serious relationships in my life. My first two girlfriends looked down on video games. They were for children. And as a man, my hobby should be masculine in their eyes. They had no issue with me being a musician, but in their heads I should only be playing music in my downtime which would exhaust me. My third and current partner though is an amazing person, and is very open minded. I bought her a Switch for her birthday, and she’s really loving Animal Crossing and Mario Kart 8. The last video game she played prior to me was Guitar Hero on the Wii, and she’s already thinking about games she wants for Christmas. I can’t understate the value of having a partner that wants to understand you and partake in your interests. Gents, hold onto any woman that does that.
Thing is AFAIK men have never gave a single fuck about women gamers. However women always seem to want to change shit to suit them, damning everyone else. That's what men have a problem with. Play the game and enjoy it as it is. If you don't like a particular game then the solution is don't play it.
I’m a woman, and I have men to thank for getting me into video games and tabletop gaming. Which, by the way, were all military men who I served with. It annoys me when other women make blanket statements about male gamers.
I have a government job, there is more physical strain demanded put on my body compared to others because “I am a man and am built for it”. I’m working 12 hrs- 13 days in a row before a day off. I’m still helping my daughter with homework every night and am Making dinner. If I want to relax by playing a video game, I’m going to damn well please.
I love that my girlfriend likes watching me game. Its entertaining for her minus the stress of having to actually play the game. I enjoy my hobby and she enjoys spending time with me.

Well said, most women would be insulted by the idea that they should center their life around their partner or change their core interest to suit them but at the same time they find it normal to ask the very same of men. Why would I date someone who cannot stand me because of what I like? It makes no sense.
Exactly. Imagine being so full of yourself you think you're speaking to men by saying what a turn off having a boyfriend or husband playing video games are for you. We rather date someone who doesn't care or play video games themselves.
This 100%. If my girlfriend was acting like some of the women I've seen nowadays it would be an instant breakup cause I don't have time to date a child. We have shared interests but we also have stuff we do on our own. My thing is gaming and hers is watching crime shows and the like. It boggles my mind that some women think the dude has to share every one of her interests otherwise he gives her the "ick". @BeanCasserole-wg7wu I actually study other cultures and linguistic evolution specifically to obtain the most effective and accurate means of using racial slurs with various targets. Sometimes I change it up and use the complete opposite racial slur for an individual just to get the look of confusion that inevitably results. This would be quite the opposite of ignorance, wouldn't you say? Frankly, most people who get offended at such "racial slurs" have been conditioned to respond that way to a given word without themselves possessing any knowledge of why it's supposed to be offensive in the first place, or the linguistic history of the word itself. Given this, you could say that the ignorance lies entirely with the person on the receiving end.
I crochet, read, draw, play video games, knit, cross stitch, paint, do photography, etc lol (I have a lot of hobbies to destress from work/school) But video games are one of my most loved hobbies because I don't have to *make* anything, I can just play without pressure. If I'm burnt out and don't feel like making anything, I can just go play a video game! It's soooo freeing.
Why women do not like men playing games: #1. It is not about them. Playing games can take a lot of time, that does not involve men paying attention to a woman. #2. It is not about them. Men playing games means that a man is not working to provide for a woman. Both on personal and societal level. #3. It is not about them. Playing games makes men happy. That it is unacceptable. Only thing that should make men happy, is taking care of a woman.
A good woman would try to find co-op games to play together or read walkthroughs and guides and help him while playing, so it can be a couple activity. But those women are rarer than aliens.
@@Leanzazzy My wife just lets me play. She understands that it's my relaxing hobby. We do plenty of other things. But in our day and age it is the equivalent to watching movies, reading books, etc... So she is very understanding in that sense and I with her hobbies.

Women will call gaming a “red flag” but will date the serial cheater, which is an actual red flag, and cry when he cheats on them…. Hence why we’re not putting any weight to their opinions
thing is .. their ego is so big, that they know he is a serial cheater, but in their mind they think they are so great he would never cheat on them ... and that all stems from all the simps in their life telling them how great they are. what the women dont seem to get or understand is that the simps and everyone else are only telling them that in hopes it increases the odds of them getting laid.. men need to stop lying to women in hopes of getting some..
Most women's opinions are like swiss cheese - just full of holes. Hence why I don't put much stock into anything they say. @@inkgeek4706 No instead what needs to happen is we need to find some way to reach our long lost brothers, build them up, encourage them to become one of the "boys", and show them that these women they're simping for, do not and will never truly give a shit about them. Shaming and putting them down, simply hasn't accomplished anything. It's not so much they need to stop lying to women, because women are going to have self-inflated egos and blame men for all their problems no matter what you do, it's more so that they need to experience true brotherhood to ultimately realize they're being played and completely used by these sirens.
A big reason women can't stand video games is because it takes the attention away from them. Women who are confident and have their own hobbies aren't so insecure about it. I know from experience, my fiance couldn't stand the fact I was a gamer until I asked her if she's ever even tried them. When she gave it a shot we ended up having a blast together not to mention she was damn good at them too. Back in the split screen days with the Halo trilogy, gears of war, Rainbow Six Vegas. We did it all.
And yet they DEMAND to get rid of male game developers and studios pandering to women in videogames industry... They even hire female only studios, just look at Ubisoft photos. They only liberal females.
There is also gender norms you have to take into account. Women aren't supposed to like video games and then there's the bias that is along the same lines that men who play video games are lazy nerds. She just sounds young and needs her world opened more. You bringing her in to try it was a very sweet way to bond together and the fact she wanted to try with you def tells that she was feeling like you weren't paying her enough attention. Good on you man. Also encourage her to be more open and straight forward about her wants because women culture typically entails you have to be so subversive and two face about what you actually want because if you want things you're needy and if you have a problem you're a bitch and mean.

Isn't a pick me just a girl who would actually attract a guy because of their congeniality? Now I suppose it's the same as a simp boy, but there is still a huge difference. A pick me girl retains femininity, while a simp loses testosterone.
Understanding that men and women compliment each other despite having disparate preferences sounds logical to me. If that makes Sydney or I a "pick me", then so be it. This culture of labeling is everything my generation USED TO fight against.

I am a 44 year old male gamer who has been happily married for 21 years with 4 kids (eldest just turned 18). The whole family plays computer games and enjoys them as a way to relax.
Right on! I set up a dedicated server for all the games we play in my family (wife and 3 kids) . It's nice to be able to get into a game and play together. My wife is really enjoying Sunkenland. My kids have been loving the Minecraft server, they've even had friends join them to play together. Games really can bring us together and allow us to meet new people.
As a woman, that would have ME running away from those women. I can't stand such nonsensical conversations. Thankfully, my women friends don't discuss such things, unless we're joking about other women's obsessions with them. LOL Even then, it's maybe a 5 minute conversation before we move on to a more interesting topic - like life.
are you guys ok? do you realize that you judge these girls when in reality you dont even know them? how are you guys better than girls that were described in video? what made you think that they would have problems with men playing games? whats wrong with talking about handbags?
@@gbb3137 I'm fine, how are you doing? I'm just enjoying the juxtaposition of this particular debate. On one hand, you have people that worship frivolous ideas and material things whilst also demonizing what they see as a frivolous pastime. On the other hand, there is a lot of research about how video games are a healthy, stress reducing activity that also hones eye-hand coordination, spatial awareness, problem solving skills, etc, etc. In summary, people shouldn't judge others on their chosen hobbies, lest they be judged themselves. Live and let live.
"Men playing video games is gross and its a waste of time" Says women that can scroll through facebook and tiktok for literal hours Hands up for all the dudes who have been watching a TV show or a movie with their wife/gf for them to suddenly look up from their phones and say "wait what just happened?"
Interestingly 80% of women are attracted to only 20% of top echelon men. So why are they complaining about part of the 80% playing video games? It makes no sense
As a girl, I remember being alone in school and all the other girls would make fun of the boys for playing video games and ask what the point of it was. And I was very quiet, so I never voiced my thoughts, but I do remember sitting there wondering why they thought that cause I have always played video games. I really couldn't understand the hate, but I just shrugged them off and kept playing them with my little brother and older sister. I have so many good memories with them.
“Video games as a hobby is unattractive” feels like something you would say if you were trying to cope with the fact that you: - are not attracted to your partner - you can never seem to date somebody you can feel attracted to
Agreed, like she said towards the end... If you game and still get you stuff done and they still find it an "ick" then that says more about them than it does about the gaming.
This. That first tiktok, saying they get the ick watching their bf play games? I was like, "Then why are you their gf?" They think it makes it look like they are a good person with putting up with their bfs, like a charity, but honestly it makes them look stupid in my eyes. Like, why are you bragging that you're with someone you clearly don't even like? It's so bizarre to me.
So a girl meets a guy who isn't controlling, is respectful, works hard and makes a good income, doesn't drink to excess and is generally what most women would call a "good catch".......but if he owns a PS 5 it's a no-go? Seriously, if I met a woman like this and she had an aversion to my game playing, I would consider it a bullet dodged.
Ya I do not understand what peoples deal is with gaming. It is a hobby. It is no more a waste of time than any other hobby. Gamers gotta stick with gamers apparently...

Exactly. Let's go back to the days that men didn't come home until 9-10pm because they spent the evening drinking the very little money the family has. They'll be begging for video games to come back.
Hey! I like crochet AND video games! 😄 Once, when a co-worker found out I played video games, she asked me "How can you just sit and play games for hours?". I replied, "Well, it's like how people can just sit and watch Netflix for hours." She said, "Oh...that's me." And never bothered me about it again, lol!
I don't crochet, terrible at it, but I do cross stitch, embroidery, diamond painting, and paint by number in addition to reading and video games. I can't stand people who don't understand people do things with their time thay don't involve tv (which I do enjoy depending on the program).
I would argue you're being at least four times healthier than a Netflix vegetable. You're at least moving something. Netflix vegetable doesn't. You're at least doing some critical thinking. Netflix vegetable doesn't, or they wouldn't find Netflix interesting. You're training your brain to recognize patterns, plan ahead, and make snap decisions. Netflix vegetable is literally training to be a vegetable. Not to mention you're also building hand-eye coordination and social skills depending on what you're playing. Netflix vegetable is learning what bedsores are. 😂
3:23 doesn’t Liz realize that many games aren’t even for kids? Ghost of Tsushima is a stark example of a game I wouldn’t let my children play until they’re 14 at least.
I'm a 30 something male. I started gaming as a teenager, it was mostly a social activity, we built a group of guys that are still friends today, some nerdy, some artsy and some sporty dudes. I stopped gaming for years because I was supposed to grow up. The mystery cough had me start playing again. I've reconnected with friends far away. I don't own a TV, watch movies or series. I spend around 5 hours a week gaming, and if that's un attractive to women that sounds like a them problem.
I am 50, I still play _a lot_ of videogames and I spend _a lot_ of time gaming. But I also spend a lot of time reading, in fact my appartment is so full of books I'm running out of space, I get myself busy with 3D printing, with painting miniatures and creating little dioramas, I tinker with electronis, I love to cook (something many women don't know how to do anymore) and I spend time with my niece and nephew, teaching them old-school stuff like building tin can phones or starting a fire with a fire bow. Oh, and I know my way around a sewing machine, try to find a young woman who can say that.
Actually for many people, but especially for high masking autistics, its very dangerous to pass on their ("immature") hobbys. It just leads to autistic burnouts (often confused with depression) or real depression in long term. Hobbys let to cope with life, and strong immersion of gaming is helping to break of from everyday struggles and settle emotions.
@@reynewan999 Interesting that I find this comment of yours after leaving my comment here - because I am an Asperger's and also fight clinical depression for most of my life. And yes, I am glad I have my immature hobbies, you got a really good point here. Aspies have a tendency to hyper-focus on things we find interesting or annoying, something I know from myself all too well. Some might think that focusing on hobbies like gaming is dangerous, because the Aspie hyper-focus might turn it into an unhealthy obsession. Sure, this might happen here and there, but _my_ truth is, I am very interested in politics and history and I have a _really_ hard time to break away from it, even more so with all that crap happening right now here in Germany. And in case I would not have gaming as something that manages to distract me at least for a time, I am sure I would have slipped even deeper into my depression. Yes, I also read a lot, but this is something that _also_ makes you think. Don't get me wrong here, good games _do_ require and encourage thinking as well, but it's still different from sitting quietly in your room, reading and thinking. Even more so since I read a lot of books about, surprise, history and politics. Hard to explain and I kinda get lost in translation here, sorry for that. Also, you hit home with your remark about immersion. A good game with good immersion allows me to pull out of the real world and to hit the breaks on those constantly ticking thoughts of mine.

I agree with your sentiment. But I also don’t think it’s a particularly useful term anymore . Most people watch film and tv regularly , but we typically don’t refer to them as movie watchers
I am a tradesman and I work up too 50 hours + a week. I work very hard and have very little time for my hobby (video gaming and Warhammer 40K). My partner is a Dr and surgeon. When we do have time for each other, we strike a balance between us doing things together outside and inside the home. She actively learned how to play my video games and openly asked about warhammer gameplay and the lore. She cares about it because it means something to me. She also actively encourages me playing video games and hobby painting because she knows I find it relaxing. She has also taken the time to learn how to play my favourite video games, because it is time we can share together, as a couple. I have actively taken in interest in her gardening, because it is important to her. She has taught me heaps on how to not kill anything I plant! Which is also good for us, because we both love to cook. The majority of the women on this clip could learn something from her.
I remember my ex boyfriend and me playing videogames together and it was always fun. The nagging, the appreciation when winning together, the playful making fun when one of us lost, the snacks we ate during our sessions, the laughing, the raging together. All of it is dear memory to me because I got to spend it with him. These women are thinking they are princesses and the center of the world. Their men arent allowed to like anything besides them. Major red flag. Videogames are not the issue, thinking your partner can't enjoy anything besides YOU ia the issue.
Uh huh. There's a couple of people I know who deepened their relationship playing co op PvE games like monster hunter together. Being able to work as a team and help each other meant a lot to them. It's sad that more people don't get it.
I was just sitting here watching the video, crocheting my first sweater, when Sydney made that comment. I felt very called out, 😂. But I can take a joke, and as always, great insights and video Sydney!

It's really challenging (hard for me) and I've learned a lot about my son that I think can be attributed to his gaming...he's highly intelligent, focused. excellent at strategy and problem solving, persistent, and extremely calm and patient with teaching. He grew up playing games (more than I realized) and enjoys gaming with friends. He would love to find a girlfriend who appreciates and could share gaming.

can confirm, my brother's ex would spend literally all day scrolling tictok, ignore the kids as they make a mess, leave the house work for my bro to do after a 12hrs shift working outdoors. then get mad at him for wanting an hour (or a weekend for a game release) because he "wasn't pulling his weight"
I'm an attorney, and I play games once in a while, collect figures, dioramas and comics too. Happily married for 25 years. 2 kids, one is working (right out of college this year) at 40k/Yr and the other is in an ivy league college. Loser huh.
I am in the Army, and gaming is how I keep in touch with my dad and brother. Logging on and 1v1’ing beaver creek with my nephew is very good because it gives us a way to bond, and can get you into new things that I wouldn’t often play. I am not a warhammer fan, yet I enjoy the hell out of playing the game with my brother. I got my dad through dual destinies in destiny 2 after almost two weeks of strategizing, gaming for an hour or so after I get off work. It is very much one of the best hobbies for staying in touch with people over long distance.
I'm late to this video but just want to say that I am in my 60s and am still an avid gamer. I am online several times a week with my children who have grown up and moved out of home now. We hop on discord and have a frag fest. Its a huge amount of fun and helps us stay in touch with each other. The fun extends beyond myself and my children, and into their partners and friends also. It has become part of the family's social fabric. AND...my wife has come to the dark side, because of our grand children whom we have over frequently and run our own Lan parties with them. I cant begin to tell you how joyful it is to hear the yelling, screaming and laughter that comes from these occasions.
When I used to date, I'd make it a point up front to say that gaming is one of my hobbies and I'm not changing it as it got me through dark times. If she walked away, as far as I am concerned, it just means I dodged a bullet.

The ironic part of this conversation is that women were claiming to be gamer girls just a few years ago and begging to get into the industry, yet now it's unattractive because they lack success in getting into said industry. This makes no sense to me.
It's actually makes sense. You tried, you failed, now you never wanted that in the first place. Usually it's how children go around about manipulating world around them. Hypocritical but works just fine
No, it makes sense. For those women, it was about dominance and/or attention. The point was to force themselves into a perceived guy space, for the sake of their ego, jealousy, and/or spite. For decades, we've been encouraged to see men as direct competition and obstacles, and this is a natural result.
@@aprilbennett4161 correct. I've stated the same thing, how the many gubments pretty much pitted women against men, culturally and in the work space. Why would we want to shower our real life competitor with attention and adoration?! 😂
I am 38 years old, married for 11 years and have two kids. I like to play games at night after my wife and kids go to bed. My wife encourages me to do so and understands that it is the downtime and hobby that I enjoy just like people have all of the other ridiculous hobbies they enjoy. So I don’t really care what people like Liz Wheeler or anybody else says. People have hobbies they enjoy so let them enjoy them. Now I will say this, if your hobby (whatever it may be) causes you to neglect your responsibilities (all that life throws at you including getting yourself a job and providing for your family), then yes that is a problem and that hobby needs to placed aside until you have prioritized the most important things first.
I agree with you 100% Everybody deserves some relaxation time to do whatever they want. But if it turns to an addiction then it’s a problem. If it’s not interfering with your life, then you do you! I support my boyfriend gaming and I enjoy watching him play. But I also make sure he gets his time alone to play so he can talk with his buddies unfiltered lol
I genuinely cannot stress enough how fun the Untitled Goose Game is lmao. I know it's stupid, and most of you are going to be thinking, "really, Sydney?" but if you have a girlfriend/wife/fren who wants to play it with you, give it a go. It's a cute little time.
I've never heard of it, but it sounds interesting.
There's nothing more attractive than a woman enjoying video games. Even trying new games together or enjoying party games would be super fun.
Especially funny if it's such a strange game like the Goose Game you mentioned. Or Goat Simulator. That would be an endless supply of laughter 😂
On another note, I find it absolutely mind-boggling that, although video games are finally normalised in society, it's again being trendy to view down on gamers with arrogance and disgust. I mean... look, girl, just sit in my racing seat and enjoy some sim-racing and I guarantee you will enjoy it.

I recently learned about how they tried to keep libraries from being public.. that was a trip. There's nothing like a good book in hand.
@@sokar_rostau same with the tailors and the sewing machine...
Women complaining that men aren't paying attention to them.....What a surprise.

And then they'll complain when men start giving them attention. What's the lesson here lads? Never take a woman's complaint seriously.
Exactly what I said, only my post was MUCH longer. Congratulations on your brevity. Seriously. Straight to the point.
It annoys me that whilst being demonised for our own hobbies, we're also told that we're keeping women away from the hobby...

Your brother like Warhammer? Awesome.
This is because gaming used to be a de facto male space, and how dare men have a space that is exclusively, or mostly, theirs
Some women hate how easy it is to make some men happy, saying playing videos game is unattractive is an example of that.

Why women do not like men playing games:
#1. It is not about them. Playing games can take a lot of time, that does not involve men paying attention to a woman.
#2. It is not about them. Men playing games means that a man is not working to provide for a woman. Both on personal and societal level.

In a coffee shop I once overheard 3 girls non-stop talking about handbags for like 40 min.... That's a real turnoff for me
Those same women will shame their BF/Husband for playing video games for 2 hours after a hard days work.
For 40 minutes? Wow. Surely there are more worthwhile things to discuss.
"Men playing video games is gross and its a waste of time"

@@xFaytalxno, not liberal. Just a woman.
Interestingly 80% of women are attracted to only 20% of top echelon men. So why are they complaining about part of the 80% playing video games? It makes no sense
This is the best comment. Exactly right on target.
Drama
Bcos complaining is their hobby. That's what resulted in all the crazy activism and random causes.
Because they can't get those 20%, which are already taken. So they want to increase availability. It's still only about them.
They want to control the lives of men they don't even know.
“Video games as a hobby is unattractive” feels like something you would say if you were trying to cope with the fact that you:
- are not attracted to your partner
- you can never seem to date somebody you can feel attracted to
Women when they see a man happy without them
Agreed, like she said towards the end... If you game and still get you stuff done and they still find it an "ick" then that says more about them than it does about the gaming.
That’s gaslighting right there
They have no hobbies at all but men having a hobby is just as bad.
I'd be upset if he didn't own a PS5. We need to match you know;-)

Also, he just bought a Nintendo Switch as a family console and we are working on finding games we all enjoy playing together.

Edit: this wasn’t meant to be a reply to this comment

60 here. I played Pong, Space Invaders, and Asteroids when they were brand new. Games have brought far more joy to my life than any woman.
