Mahalo for your nice comments... I live in Hawai'i, and people sometimes forget that this is a real place, not a theme park, and we have real problems, just like other big cities... that being said, we try hard to live with Aloha and be at peace with everyone and the land (aina)....

Awesome vlog - great to revisit the Ford Island museum and Arizona memorial through your vlog. We visited in 2013 and went aboard the Missouri as well as the Bowfin submarine. It was my late husband’s last overseas trip and these memorials were on his bucket list. Watching your vlog brought some wonderful memories back!

We almost went there. Intended to even. But we ended up going to Kaimana Shave Ice during our North Shore day because it was walking distance from the shrimp truck we ate at (Big Wave) (and we got a discount to that Shave Ice because we ate at Big Wave)

Sorry we missed seeing you on Mothers Day. Hawaii was amazing. This was actually Oahu (not the Big Island) but honestly, I’m sure every island has something that’s beautiful on it.
I love the wild chickens! We went there on our honey moon and I remember being surprised about that lol. Lots of good memories. We stayed at the Outrigger. I remember seeing that beautiful tree and we also ate at that same restaurant. 😊
FYI...There's only 2 Haleiwa Joe's...the one at Haiku Gardens is most recent, opened in early/mid-2000s or so. The Haleiwa (Hah-lay-ee-vah) location has been opened since mid-1990s or so, but That's Another story for Another time!-Hahaha
One thing I remember about Hawaii was the instant the humid air hit when we got off the plane. I’ve also been known to make my husband change our room to a ground floor because I can’t do heights at hotels😅 😅 but those views were lovely! That hike would have been a blast for my kids, my boys love nature and exploring! Did you get any banana bread in Hawaii? It’s the best!!!
We did not get any banana bread. We did learn about bread fruit! (Not the same thing I know. 🤣) Amy actually really loved the humidity (I don’t know why 😂) and tolerated the heights. But she said if there was a balcony it would have been a huge NOPE. We had the 8th floor while at Aulani, and I, personally, could have had a few floors higher, but Amy was perfectly happy with it.

Yes! We spent 4 nights at Aulani and it was GLORIOUS. We started our trip off in Waikiki to do all our sightseeing at a cheaper hotel. Then we spent most of our Aulani days just chilling at the resort.
We’ve really only tried it once or twice so hard to say for certain, but it definitely doesn’t keep sand stuck to it and was nice and big for sitting on like a blanket.
At the crater parking lot. We made a reservation online. You can park outside the crater and walk in, but it was a lot easier to just reserve a spot inside.
Really enjoyed the Hawaii videos.. looks like a fun trip!

so many shave ice places.... my favorite (lots of childhood memories) is Matsumoto's, which is on the North Shore...

What did you think of the Sand Cloud towel? Was it worth the $$$?
