  • Our second day in Hawaii takes us to Kualoa Ranch for their Half-Day Tour. This is a combination of two tours. We chose the Movie Sites Tour and the Jungle Expedition Tour.
    During our tours, we enjoyed sights of the filming locations of popular movies like Jurassic Park, Kong: Skull Island, and Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.
    In between our tours, we enjoyed a buffet lunch.
    After we finished up at Kualoa, we went to Duke's Waikiki for dinner and enjoyed the amenities at our hotel: Holiday Inn Express Waikiki.

    What awesome tours. I didn't even know they had that. My friend loves Jurassic Park she would just die to be where they filmed.

      I'll be around periodically in July, but unfortunately my family will not as their pass level is blocked out. We intend to upgrade them in August when renewals come around so they can all go during the Summer (usually we just all avoid Disney in the Summer, but the channel is at a point where I can't do that this year).
      We looked into upgrading them early, but Disney doesn't prorate the upgrade, and it's just not cost efficient at this point.

      @@SoCalDisneyDad AWE, hoping we run into you next month!! If you are still on Oahu, you should check out GIOVANNI’s shrimp truck, Hawaiian food at Waiahole Poi Factory (must try the Sweetv lady of Waihole dessert) and definitely go to Polynesian Cultural Center.

    I just went there last week with 3 packages tour ( Movie Sites, Jungle Expedition, and Farm). It's definitely worth it. I loved the Jungle expedition the most, especially the one that you had to hike for 5 minutes.

    This is so awesome! I’m loving these videos quick question? Did you guys book all these tours or can you provide some information on that I’d love to do the same things you guys did on our trip there 😊

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yes. We booked all the tours and things we did a la carte. The things we booked were:
      1. Tickets to Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum
      2. Reservations to go out to the USS Arizona (parking was paid on site, not early)
      3. Reservations to hike Diamond Head (plus parking)
      4. Kualoa Half-Day package booked ahead of time
      5. Toa Luau booked ahead of time (includes access to waterfall and hike, will be in later video)
      I believe that was everything we booked ahead of time aside from food reservations and things. Duke's required a reservation. Haleiwa Joe's doesn't do reservations.

    Both tours look like so much fun. Are there rest stops (bathroom stops) during the tours? Thanks for sharing :)

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. But there is a lot of time between tours. So plenty of time for breaks during that time. But the 90 minute tour itself has no access to restrooms. It’s only back at the main visitor center area.

  • @mrv911
    @mrv911 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Would you just recommend doing the movie sites tour rather than the half day package? Was the movie sites tour enough to see the area and a lot of the movies shot there? Coming there in a few weeks..... Did you go to the bone yard on the Jurassic Tour?

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The bone yard is on the Movie Sites Tour. I’m not sure if it is on Jurassic.
      I did Movie Sites and Jungle Expedition. I enjoyed Jungle Expedition more than Movie Sites, but we liked the hiking aspect and the more rugged off road part.
      However, the Movie Sites will take you to the more iconic valley.
      I’m glad we did both, personally, and would probably do it just as we did if we ever got to do it again.

    • @SoCalDisneyDad

      Not that kind of bumpy. Just “must wear seatbelt” kind of bumpy.
      The seats are nice and we didn’t have any troubles.

    We are thinking to visit this ranch this June. Do you think it will get really hot in June? And What activity do you recommend in June?
    I have 17,14 year old teens.
    thanks

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We went mid-May and it was really great temps. I don't think Hawaii fluctuates much with the temperature, so I'm sure June will be great. You will probably encounter some rain as we did, but that's to be expected for how lush and green Hawaii is.

    • @SoCalDisneyDad

    • @SoCalDisneyDad
      @SoCalDisneyDad  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      So the Kualoa Ranch is pronounced how I pronounce it. Koo-uh-Low-uh.
      What you’re thinking of is the Ko’olau Range, which is the range of mountains behind Kualoa.
