I really love your wood turning, it's what brought me to your channel and I find it to be extremely soothing to watch. whenever I'm stressed out there's nothing like a bowl gouge or a tannin to put me in a calm mood. Thank you, and please carry on!!!

I really enjoy watching you create these beautiful wooden objects.I suffer from anxiety attacks and I can just turn on your videos and I'm instantly calmed. Your selection of music is another level of soothing the nerves for me.I'm just finding you about March 9,2019. Thanks so much.I bet you never thought about your videos as therapy for a person. You are a healer and a gentle creator of lovely things from Natures bounty. Namaste

Since I started watching wood turning videos....I no longer look at trees (or wood) the same. In every tree stump....a work of art is in there...waiting to be brought out. That's how I look at trees now. I hope that's not a bad thing. :-)

So interesting that other people say this about woodwork as well: it is indeed, so calming. Not sure exactly why. But I come here to 'visit", and I also love watching the piece take shape, from a large chunk of rough tree section..to the exquisite end result. Huzzah, and many thanks from here in downtown NYC.

I also got a set of ten tools with it so I hope to be making some nice bowls here soon. I watched your video and subscribed. I hope to get some tips on getting started. Thanks for the video Mike.

GOOD job, Larry! I'll be over next week to see it in person and to bring your sanding tool back. I did notice when you first mounted that log, that you had a good bit of wobble in your tail stock tool shaft. The lath's tail stock base was solid, of course, but I was concerned what the wobble was doing to your center on the log, but more importantly, what it might have been doing to your tail stock receiver. I love Cedar and you produced a beautiful product.

Was it easier to use spindle or bowl gouge instead of roughing gouge in beginning? I would think roughing gouge , no?

What sort of reckoning do you use to gauge the thickness of the bowl when using the bowl chisel; avoiding the danger of hitting the base mounting screws etc?
