    I think this is a very smart layout and efficient use of the space. They put a lot of thought into this and it really shows.
    I been building tiny homes, van homes etc for years. This is impressive, i give them props for this. Youngsters being active is also nice to see.

    Cute couple and extremely well thought out and designed camper! Love the pop-out stove top, and that so many things are controlled by the phone. It's a smart house compressed into a camper! Thanks for a great tour!

    Great setup with all the automation, however, most of us would want a bit more space. I always wanted to build a cabover box truck but we ended up towing a 20' camper which is great to unhook and make day trips or even tent camp if we choose. The truck has a hotspot in the computer set up so we can watch and control things from the truck.

    • @decidetheyld
      @decidetheyld ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching Kenneth! I can see how a family might want more space, but for the 2 of us and our dog this camper is perfect! We opted for the 8ft truck bed and with the tall ceilings on this camper it feels plenty roomy for us.

    , Talking about being afraid of running out of water when you have 30 something gallons I think you said. I use a spray bottle lol a 32 ounce spray bottle one has dish soap and water in it, the other one has clean water and just a little bit of white vinegar. It’s just me but doing my dishes with those spray bottles last month lol

    • @decidetheyld
      @decidetheyld ปีที่แล้ว

      So many people operate with less but with just the 2 of us with our dog we drink almost 75% of our water every week! We used to have 32 gallons in our last build and now have a 20 gallon tank with a 5 gallon backup that we rarely use!

    Hi I like your camper.i am sure it's hard living in a small space and sometimes privacy is needed. I wish the best . One comment is the air draft in the front given the top is not meeting the truck top, have you thought about adding wind deflectors or maybe a slide out storage compartment to fill the gap ,I bet it would increase gas mileage. Safe travels

    • @decidetheyld
      @decidetheyld ปีที่แล้ว

    I love this build! I would definitely like to have an adventure vehicle like this one!! As a smart-home enthusiast I’m wondering; For your floodlights, did you connect your truck’s aux switches to an esp32, so you can also control certain things with the aux switches as well as the app? As I’d say that’s simpler when driving?

  • @chrisdaniel1339
    @chrisdaniel1339 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Finally, people that understand that every extra pound of weight is a detriment. Extra weight leads to worse gas mileage, faster tire wear, more wear and tear on the engine which ends up costing more money. Good job guys.
    Fisher & Paykel offers a single drawer dishwasher that only uses 6.85 liters of water per cycle, Bosch's German website has several countertop, single drawer, or slim dishwashers that again use less than 8 liters for a full cycle, it is impossible to hand wash a full load of dishes with such little water and your dishes are truly sanitized.

    I greatly admire your attention to detail in planning and executing on your build. I'm in the planning stage of my own build using the same platform, 22 F-150 RCLB HDPP. Before seeing this video, I'd not seen any using this vehicle. Great job with your new home and hope to see you on the road someday! Do you have any build videos or posts somewhere? I'm always eager to learn and improve my plan. Best Wishes! PS. Curious how your camper affected MPG.
