Amazing wow you even have a bathroom love it. very cool that you can seperate the tiny from the truck you and the pups have all you need to live a comfortable life on the road . I love this.
Lovelty Rig. It is super homely and cosy. The colour scheme give your Rig that warm look more so on a winters day no doubt. Your dogs are lovely as well.

Beautiful driveable home. From Wisconsin with love.
Fabulous! Thanks for the tour!
Clever set-up by a smart guy. Thumbs up!

You did a great job with the details,Nicely Done 🎉.
Happy Trails 👋
JO JO IN VT 💞
Beautiful setup,and beautiful pups!
I'd look into more solar panels.
Love the accordion door. All van lifers should do this, even if single, but esp if 2. Need separation .
I love your rig, the slide out makes a big difference with space, lots of storage. I really like it.
Agreed! It's amazing how spacious Johnny's camper feels with the slides out.
Love your truck camper, very clean, comfortable 👍

Very nice looks like a real house I like it
NICE set up for a VERY comfortable mobile lifestyle👍👍⬆️
Another really awesome and interesting house on wheels.🇺🇲👋🇺🇲
I love your truck/Van 🙂
Awesome… wow❤
Awesome rig and vid. 👍
Very nice rig.
Very nice set-up.
Love how big American cars are👌👌👌
64 gallons of total water… An onboard propane generator… A really good bathroom… And an air conditioner, propane, furnace, very generous refrigerator, space, an oven, and two 30 pound propane tanks. Plus with the upgrades he did for power and heat. I would say this is a fantastic fully self-contained off grid RV. I can’t say enough about how important it is to have an onboard generator for convenience, or for “just in case”. I hate slide outs because of their propensity to either be finicky or break… But there are two dogs and enough space to think about, so #FreePass, lol. I think this is a really good set up. Especially because he has a quad cab and the dogs can hang out in the backseat during driving days. Of course I also love that it’s a dually and I’m hoping it has four-wheel-drive for those snow days and sandy beaches.
Nice set up
so good truck camper
Too freakin' cool!!!
Very nice set up, I have been looking at the 550’s myself because of the extra payload for comfort and to carry all my gear without worries.
I almost went with a 550 but then stumbled upon a good deal on this 450. The 450 handles it very well but I certainly wouldn't want it on anything less. 550s seem like a popular option for people carrying larger TCs!
Propane furnaces are dry heat. The moisture vents outside. Way more reliable then diesel heaters.
I love how indifferent the dogs are. Lol.
Love my 992
What a wonderful way to live I used to live on a semi truck I would love to live in a setup like you have im retired now I would love to travel for fun and not work
Love your thinking on the 450 flatbed to mount your.camper. overkill on weight is real good idea. M
Awesome!
Nice truck camper! It looks, as the title says, very spacious. And finally someone who says the flushing toilet with a black isn’t as gross as a separating composting toilet. I rather deal with connecting a hose to a dumping station than actually deal with a composting toilet and empty the compost. I mean how disgusting can it be to connect a hose and empty the tank compared to empty a composting toilet?
Toilets in rigs are definitely all about personal preference. For some, black tanks feel like the easiest option, and for others composting toilets do the trick. :) All comes down to the systems you want to incorporate in a build.
I"m Loven it.
really cool truck camper. Also, just use vinegar spray for #1's in the toilet. just as clean and saves on water. I saw that on a different RV life video. I start my Rv life soon!1 maybe I'll see you down the road someday. you saying it's the best decison you've ever made really helps.
Congrats on starting your RV life! :) Hope to see you down the road!
That's the way to do it.
I have a new Chevy 3500 paired with an Arctic Fox 811 and it's awesome. I've been everywhere. The main thing about it is the fact that you can tow a boat or ATV. Pretty fun.
Truck bed campers are ok, but a class C motorhome comes in a lot of different sizes and has more room for a similar length.
@@abruegger007good luck with that class c at the boat landing or back roads.
@@NomadicNorthwoods not going to a boat landing and not going on back roads. But some dirt roads will be fine and flat grass areas. Much more room and more practical for living.
That looked like Baker POW In that ski clip.
Wow--that set-up checks a lot of boxes! Very nice. I'm curious as to what kind of mpg's you're getting....(Not very many I would guess, with a 450. But, would you mind sharing what you're getting?)
Very impressive
Very cool 😎!!! ❤❤❤
I wanna know how he got just the 2019 Ford f450 for under $69,000...
That was exactly my first thought because it say “total”. Not possible for both the truck and camper.
Maybe he got a really good deal on one of them?? Love his space & attitude for doing the things in life he loves while young; beautiful dogs too!
That looks like an XLT trim or basic work truck. They are a lot cheaper than a Lariat or platinum. Also, maybe he bought it from an auction
It's an XL trim and it had a decent amount of mileage on it when I bought it. Got the truck for $33k from a wholesaler who bought it from auction.
That’s awesome! Good deal.
Very nice!
Really nice.
Nice
The propane furnaces that come installed from the factory on modern campers do not create moister inside the camper. That's exhausted to the outside. Only propane heaters that are catalytic like the Heater Buddy create moister inside where they are burning. And yes, your diesel heater is more efficient but when it clogs up from black soot, you will appreciate that propane furnace.
You're right, I did misspeak on causing condensation. Still prefer the simplicity and efficiency of a diesel heater!
Nice ❤
What a cool set up! I like to see how others live in rv s. If I was ever a widow? I think I’d ditch my house and live in my coachman freedom express as I’m disabled & wouldn’t have the money to kerpa big house maintained.
Yes that is 1 sweet little home 👍 do you carry a small generator in case a emergency? Oh you do have a gen for emergency cool.
Thanks! There's an on board generator that came with the truck camper. Haven't had to use it yet though!
Hey Johnny! How tall are you? And how tall is the camper? Looked like you had some nice head room
Nice video
For better efficiency with your fridge/freezer, keep it full, even if its just water bottles.
Woof 🔥
He's very organized...
I like these on the go houses. However, where do you get your mail? Because do you travel all over or you just live in your RV in one state and just have a Post Office box?
There are mail services that will give you a physical address to use and then scan mail for you and you can tell them to open it and scan what's inside or shred it as needed. I guess you could also do a PO box
America's Mailbox is a popular service that many nomads use. :) You can check out more info at www.americasmailbox.com
Curious How much was your Camper? Thanks🥰
Looks like you can find some 2019 Arctic Fox 990s for around $36k. :) Johnny's total cost for truck & camper was $69k.
I want the same оne.
❤Good 4 U ❤😊
What was your total investment, truck & camper? This is just gorgeous!!❤
$69k for truck and camper
Can you camp overnight in that in urban areas without getting the knock?
LOVE YOUR FORD CAMPER. GOOD YOU'RE LIVING HOW YOU WANT. BUT NEVER BE TOO COMFY. TO MANY CRAZIES OUT THERE. BE SAFE. BE CAREFUL. AND YOU'RE TO GORGEOUS TO BE ALONE ON THE ROAD.
If you see similar rigs for the price let me know. Big boats are going way down in price in the NW too.
Oui oui, Chris Pratt as a French Maitre’d.
Johnny, You have what your journey needs. Great layout. I would need 8' Camper into bed o my truck that I would beable to go Cab To Camper with hangover the Cab. Go'n out & of Cab & Going into Camper would not provide easy accesss to leave when ever needed to. Or same when parked & to just go into Camper. The nomad living provides many different options in living. I would need many more solar panels. Safe Travels in your journey. alway, Tommy 🤠
He’s such a cutie
Wow! How does he fund this lifestyle?
Most of these people live off parents
You mention in the description "For a closer look at his previous home on wheels, visit his TH-cam channel to explore his shuttle bus conversion journey." but there's no link to his TH-cam Channel. What IS his TH-cam channel name?
Whoops! 🙈 Thanks for pointing that out, we'll update the description to include his TH-cam link. But in the meantime, here's a link directly to Johnny's channel: www.youtube.com/@MilesOSmiles 😊
Gorgeous guy. Did he say what he does for a living?
I work for a company remotely doing marketing
lift up those propane everytime you need to change, rly nice for the body :S Otherwise rly nice camper.
The average price for artic fox 990 truck camper with pop out sides and wet bath I’m seeing around 50-55k
The national average for a 2019 f450 with 2 wheel drive is 45k
I’m not a mathematician but 69k in total isn’t making sense. Maybe for the camper and some upgrades alone
You're looking at brand new camper pricing and average truck pricing which is not specific to this truck configuration or mileage. Camper: $36k. Truck: $33k.
@@MilesOSmiles
Do you work remotely? How do you fund this lifestyle?
@@AnnMitt I work remotely now. I started out doing seasonal jobs when living in my bus
No wide angle shots to get perspective
👍❤
2:54 A Propane RV Furnace doesn't introduce moisture into the interior of the RV. The propane furnace produces a DRY heat just like the diesel heater does.
I'm baffled why people believe that a propane furnace puts moisture in the living space. They have a heat exchanger just like a household gas burning furnace, which keeps the exhausts gases OUTSIDE of the living space.
A catalytic heater, such as a Mr Buddy heater, or Olympic Wave heater, DOES put moisture in the living space, because the propane is being use IN the living space.
You're correct, I misspoke on the propane furnace causing condensation
How do you make a living being on the road?
Although I'm not sure exactly what Johnny does for work, many nomads find remote jobs in tech, marketing, customer service etc. Other nomads work seasonally or pick up gig work along the road. :) It can be daunting, but there are lots of options for those looking to work while traveling.
I work remotely doing marketing for a company but my first year on the road did seasonal jobs
How short do I have to be to sit up in bed comfortably in a bed like that? I'm 5'8
I'm 6'1" and have no problems sitting straight up in the bed
Absolutely nothing about this camper says I live in this daily. I think this might be for a youtube video!
How can you tell? Not being a smarty pants, look just genuinely want to know why you think this. I watch these vids cause its cool to see different types of tiny homes, but I often wonder if people actually live in them full time.
Hopefully the 69k price tag includes the truck…which would seem a real deal..
Its not tiny though is it ! Micro campers are tiny 🤷♀️
I need $69K. 😂
Looks cool but its a no on the 2 dogs in that tiny space.
Since when did propane furnaces put our moisture? It's not like it's a buddy heater. You put in a diesel heater because they are becoming popular. In reality if you spill any diesel or kerosene, it's gonna stink up the whole camper. Stick with the propane heater that came stock with your rig.
You're right, I misspoke on the propane furnace causing condensation. Still prefer a diesel heater to propane as I have much more experience with them and now always have a backup form of heat if needed. The diesel tank is kept outside the camper so I don't have to worry about any diesel ever spilling inside the camper
