  • 2023 was a pivotal year for Vast. In our second year since founding, we:
🎙️Announced our first space station, Haven-1, scheduled to be the world’s first commercial space station when it launches no earlier than August 2025
🚀 Revealed our SpaceX launch partnership to launch both Haven-1 and the first crewed expedition, Vast-1
👥 Grew our team from 31 to 285 team members
🛰️ Acquired the space startup Launcher and a test facility at the Mojave Air and Space Port
🌊 Moved our headquarters to Long Beach, CA
🧑‍🚀 Grew our esteemed list of advisors to include two veteran NASA astronauts - Dr. Andrew J. Feustel and Dr. Garrett Reisman - and Peter Russell-Clarke, a renowned Apple Industrial Designer
Now 20 months out from the launch of Haven-1, we are making significant progress on its design, development, and build. Stay tuned for what’s to come in 2024.

Really? I am not that impressed by this video, it doesn't show a lot of progress and they have 20 months to get Haven 1 ready? Also first commercial station in orbit, so are they claiming they will are going to beat Axiom into orbit first module?

Super video and a great vision for the future of space exploration. I hope the partnership between Vast and SpaceX, or their collaboration at least, gets ahead for the benefit of the private space industry.

I love the concept and direction of what they want to do, but can you be more transparent about where you are in everything, this is a great video but in all honesty it doesn't do much to show what you are doing and you want to be what in orbit in 20 months? It looks like you just started. I think it is a great concept, including using dragon for the first module, while using starship for the second this is how it should be done, id like to see more progress this is the one i am very excited about and please don't take my criticism as being bad.

I didn't know that CNC mills are widely used in space industry! I work on one (though the mill on the video has better state and cooling system).

Yeah, they are used (the CNCs) everyday extensively throughout the space industry and most other manufacturing industries of course.

I’m impressed… no really … you guys have made progress and your not afraid to show off what you’ve done! I mean I’m poor but if I were rich I’d invest, so good job!
