Team AG- time for a scallop ban! The shelves, the baskets, the lights, the other baskets 😂 I'm convinced scallops are going to be blase in a year (dare I say- the chevron of the 2020s?). Just a little too trendy to be everywhere!!
Our house, built in '69, had all scalloped shelves. It's taken me years to get rid of them all! And now they are a thing again? Oh boy. great job on the makeover!
I feel like this whole paint debacle would have been solved much sooner if you had just taken inspiration from the colors that were already present in the space: the stained glass windows! The tulips brought such a lovely warm violet hue that matched the runners perfectly.
1:46 looking at this angle, if it's possible flip the entrance door to a right hand entrance so when opening the door will be at the larger view opening towards the stairs and the coat and shoe storage will be behind the door. Have an awesome weekend!
@@michellehoehne when you open the door and walk in, it swings left and opens towards the coat storage. the og commenter is suggesting to put the hinges on the other side, so it swings right and opens towards the entry table with the mirror. it would make the space feel more open when you enter and block the visual clutter of the coat storage.
I really liked the blue ....but it wasn't right in the space. My house is painted that blue color...but I live in Houston Texas and it is hot ! The blue actually makes the house feel cooler and no I'm not crazy , my husband says the same thing.😊
I think the dusty pink was a good idea because it matches the pink in the window pannels, and it reflects back to pink you already used in the house making it more unified.
This darker, purple-ish color from one of the swatches could be very nice on the stairs as well (where it's black now)! Loving the makeover as always :)
This “episode” *is AMAZING!* The [or James’] _editing_ is top-notch, all the funny quips from the crew, combined with Alexandra’s excellent style is _seriously_ #chefskiss 😍 Another great makeover vid, Team AG! 👍🏻👍🏻
I am only a few minutes into this video and I have to say before I continue on, that you switching to the red earthtones was a great idea. Right away I noticed that there is a stained glass window in the space and I don't know the exact color of the flower, but I think it pairs nicely with those colors. Can't wait to see the final product, so I will get back to watching your video. I enjoy them all. I hate it when I don't see them weekly.
Old lady in The Netherlands loves your work and show. Is good to watch serious and fun young ppl get their groove on. Working for yourselves. Living small, not wasteful is smart. Right on! Every one of you are great characters but I do love Graham. 😂
I’m binge-watching all your makeover videos right now and it was so nice to see a new one pop up! So good and fun (as always). This channel is such a beautiful find. I just can’t get over how high-quality and creative the makeovers, DIYs, and the editing are and how well you work as a team. Team AG is the sweetest and funniest and just so freaking talented!
This makeover was extraordinary! But then again, all your makeovers blow me away!!!! And I loved the process of finding the right color! Thank you for another great video!!
I noticed in one of your last videos, and your ThredUp haul in this one confirmed it - tops that fit like the red and white checked one are the most flattering cut and fit I’ve ever seen on you! They just seem to work so well with your body type. I’m not a fashion person, so I don’t know what they’re called, but they are absolutely perfect on you.
Oh gosh Alexandra, this entry way looks so cozy and beautiful, love the stairs and all of those different rugs put on them it is a beautiful combination. I have to be honest I love purple and have a lot of purple colors and things in my home, I love dark purple and light colored purple, it is my birth color which is amethist because I was born in February and funny I am called the Purple Lady alot, Lol!! Oh also so many great shelves and decorative hooks and those cute custom shelves Graham made for the side of that cute shelf. I also love those light socket covers that you can paint any color you love. Also love those storage baskets on that shelf. Oh this entryway really has such a beautiful vibe so much better than the before, it has so many awesome things on the walls and shelves I am so happy to see this makeover and once again you always inspire me to get busy on making over my livingroom, and that will happen this springtime. thanks so much again for this great video that was super fun to watch, have a beautiful and blessed rest of your day, sending love and hugs to all of your great crew, bye!! 😄😍🤗👋👍🙏💜💜💜
i think it was the first time i have seen a entryway makeover that is spot on. it does look like it is to provide solutions for every day living and not a wow we took EVERYTHING out look how good it looks! and it is just beautiful, solution oriented and .. its everything! so so so good! love this! congrats!
The paint that was finally decided on is so neat. It looked so much more bricky when you were working in the space, but in the end shots was so much softer and rosy. Love it for your space!
Great job!! Love that you at least *tried* to do something new with colour, even though you weren't feeling it. The end result is beautiful and totally YOU.
The word that came to my mind when you show j us the finished hallway was” very sweet “ I also thought like your paint choice fit the time period of your home.
Thank you so much for sharing the struggle around the colour choice! It's so good to hear that even the experts find the decision making hard and that there's no problem to it and it's part of the journey❤ love the result! It's like a cuddle for everyone entering your home❤
The entryway is just beautiful. Love all of the colour choices, the rugs going up the stairs and Graham did such a great job on the little shelves. They are so practical. Everything was so well thought out. Good job Alexandra and Team Gator.
I thought every choice was just wrong, until I saw the final result! Who would have thought that that stair runner would such a delightful impact! You instincts are so strong and you know when it’s wrong! Great team!
Omg Gram walking up the stairs with the sun hat! When he dropped something I laughed and woke up my husband! You needed a lighter colour on the wall the real dark closes in the space- that pink is perfect! I liked the purple but it was on my bedroom walls in junior high…😢
I’m dying over the Moroccan runner! I wish I could afford the rugs to do that on my stairs! I love your style. The sulking room pink with the rugs! Beautiful!
love your process.. love your work always!! look fwd to the next drop. And so pleased you picked that colour esp to go with the gorgeous stained glass window and runners. Just divine 😍
LOVE how the items you choose have similar patterns like the scallop lamp+baskets, even the cute little hooks! Btw having a letter holder is a neat idea 💅
So cute!! You are sooo fortunate to have that beautiful stained glass window in your space. The paint color looks gorgeous with it! I'd love to see a "make do or do without" type makeover, where you challenge yourselves to design a space using only supplies you already have in the workshop, and/or any additional materials have to be secondhand purchases (or, you know, found in the trash XD)!
Your entryway has been 'Alexanderized' - and I love it. Its all beautiful, and so much functionality.. love it❤ And all the colors are beautiful together.. and looks more your style for sure😉 Great Job.. again! TFS
Thank you! When you enter the home, you set the tone. Only one other change. I would change the door (if you can) to have more light in the entryway, but the makeover looks good.
Well to each their own. I think color is definitely a personal thing. I really didn’t like this color. Maybe something a little bit lighter??? The rest was so functional & I’m glad you thought of all these ideas to make it your own!!😜👍🏻
This dusty brick color is great. I also liked that minty blue green swatch. I felt like the blue you painted the first coat looked very lavender to me. The wavy edge to the shelves adds so much personality to them!
I loved that blue! I have the same issue with pink. I love how you include pink and rose in your designs, but I just cant. I always look at the pinks and still always go for green and blue colours....
The basket/storage quotes though. Your editor is a true legend. 🤩

Would it be a bad look if the raccoon were holding a little Graham? 🤔😅
The color of the walls looks so nice with the stained glass window 💕
Yes. The color with the stained glass is what did it for me as well. Love how this turned out

Not in the biz, but choose perfection for people I know. But, I think it’s harder to do our own because we have so many ideas🤗
So this wall color is so good with the stained window… now the window feels more of an art piece… and everything is going great together.. ❤
I was thinking the same thing! Also, the stained glass flowers go so well with the stair runner.❤❤❤
