Any chance to do something for the siblings? As a parent of a son who has had many hospitalizations and surgeries, his twin brother and sisters don’t complain but we are aware of how it affects them. We give them “favorite days “ where they get to choose lunch or a movie ( one at a time). Just a thought.
I would have tricked out that gaming desk maximum. There are whole TH-cam channels and magazines dedicated to gaming setups with lighting and storage and cord management, etc.
Not sure how I feel about this makeover to be honest! Obviously love the intent, but the blue trim reads as painter’s tape to me and I feel that the several wood tones clash a bit.
I love this young man's bedroom that you and the team have created for him. And I'm happy that you gave him the gray that he wanted in his room. But I'm even more happy that you didn't paint his entire room that dark color that would have been very gloomy.

The design and fun and creativity are all part of it for sure, but it really comes down to: changing someone's space really affects their life so positively

It's the entirely wrong shade of blue. All I see is painter's tape. A more royal plus or a borderline navy if you don't want to go to dark, but this shade.
What an inspiring make- over. My daughter has terminal cancer now and even though a make- over does not cure cancer , it sure lifts the spirits and helps one to think about other things. I pray that Thomas’s cancer will be cured with the treatment and I am sure this make over is helping him focus on other things besides the cancer. His reaction was precious. What a gift for him and his mom.🥰

I think this is my favorite makeover you guys have ever done, because I love how much you listened to everything he wanted and delivered it to him in a way that he couldn’t have imagined. When he said grey was a color he liked, I thought your pink-loving heart would break! But no, you found a lovely green/grey and used those great contrasting colors to keep it sophisticated, but not depressing. He will spend so many hours playing video games at that desk, feeling comfortable and like a normal teenager, surrounded by a space that reminds him that he is loved and valued. And he absolutely deserves it! Amazing job! Congratulations to you and your team! 🎉

This was such a kind and lovely thing to do. Made me cry at the end (I had a son who became very ill and disabled and I totally empathize with Thomas's mother). He kept saying the room didn't feel like his but I think he meant it felt almost too good to be true. He clearly loved it. You all did something you often do and somehow magically expanded the space -- by the time you finished, the room looked far bigger than it did before. It's exactly what Thomas asked for -- cozy but not *too* cozy. It's restful and warm.
Loved Thomas’s vibe and the final result really captures their inspo photos! I kept thinking the blue trim was painters tape the entire time watching - it’s a perfect color match haha

I hope you do something for the sisters. I had a daughter who was in several hospitals for 10 months. At the same time my mother was dying in another hospital. My other two children were constantly being shuffled around. This boy's sisters are agonizing too. Maybe you could add them to your schedule for a future makeover. I think your subscribers would appreciate your thoughtfulness. No matter what you decide, you are all awesome.
I was thinking the same thing. One if my twin sons is special needs and has had many surgeries. We are aware of the extra time his care takes so we make special days with one kiddo at a time to do what they want. They never complained but we wanted to reward them for their understanding

As a mom to two littles, I 100% teared up when he was hugging his mom at the end for getting him this makeover. AG and team, you knocked it out of the park and made this boy feel so special!

I hope you do something for the sisters. I had a daughter who was in several hospitals for 10 months. At the same time my mother was dying in another hospital. My other two children were constantly being shuffled around. This boy's sisters are agonizing too. Maybe you could add them to your schedule for a future makeover. I think your subscribers would appreciate your thoughtfulness. No matter what you decide, you are all awesome.
I was thinking the same thing. One if my twin sons is special needs and has had many surgeries. We are aware of the extra time his care takes so we make special days with one kiddo at a time to do what they want. They never complained but we wanted to reward them for their understanding

Goodness growing up with typewriters and the early keyboards the clicking was perfectly normal and I guess I just took it for granted. Its funny to see someone get so excited about it. :) beautiful job and for such a wonderful young man.
