Still one of my favorite versions of this song. Such a haunting version to creep through empty halls and over cold concrete slabs only to seep into the bones and poison the blood with beauty.
danke schön so lange nix mwehr von der band gehört und jetzt wieder erinnert ... wow will echt mal da live wenn sie spielen durchs Gebäude gehen und mal selber so die stimmung spühren -.- omg ...
Oh fucking god! Everything perfect! The best place, in the best city! I love Berlin! Music, place, atmosphere, Beth... Perfect! From Rio de Janeiro - Brazil (I think Portishead never comes here for our unhapiness)
Just wanted to say how cool this video idea was. Does anyone realize how they create a live video with David Lynch like camera shots, but they are all live and you're witnessing the sound from different room perspectives? Just how many camera angles are not on the band compared to how many are? It's kind of like emptiness is the audience. One of the strangest drum solos out there.
check out Alesis, Korg, especially AKAI, they all manufacture this style of electronic drumboard. There are other brands, but Alesis is probably the best, they have made equipment for DJ's and electronic musicians for a LONG time. He also uses a delay pedal for the "bends" 3/4 of the way into the song. Mabye a digitech x-series.
I disagree that the end part sucks. It is like the opposite of an exclamation point... to punctuate what preceeds. It is powerful. It is part of the wonderful artistry... combined musical and visual artistry.
One of the most underrated tracks ever.
I love the soullessness and loneliness of the factory. Beautiful
Best comment!

The final "chorus" lead synth voice is beyond this world.
