Interesting use of the passive voice in your headline. "Sixty-seven year old man shot dead by Bellevue police officer" is more specific and accurate. And what does "...killed AFTER shooting..." mean exactly? This gives the impression that the person wasn't killed by being shot. It's almost as convoluted as BPD's "...an on-duty Bellevue Police Officer was involved in a deadly force(sic) incident. As a result, a person is deceased."
Perhaps the person didn't die of a bullet wound. Police didn't say so, so reporter shouldn't claim it. Nothing complicated about that. "force(sic)" there is nothing odd about "force".
@@unkannyunkanny9232 Putting aside your supposition. I didn't say the headline was "complicated." I said it was vague and unclear. I also didn't state the police report was complicated, I said it was convoluted, as in impenetrable and over-elaborate. "Deadly" was used in combination with "force" to form an adjective describing "incident," thus "...deadly force..." used together without a hyphen to describe "incident" is incorrect. It should be "...in a deadly-force incident." Have a good evening.
Was he killed on his property? In his home? If so, how does that happen in Bellevue? It's not what would be considered a trigger-happy lawless police-hating part of the state that is dangerous to police. Maybe more of a poorly handled mental health crisis situation and a trigger happy police officer? The wording of this seems bizarre and covering up some potentially negative details.

Well
Anything south of 90 or east of BCC should be known as “Sketchy Bellevue “
Residential area surrounding Factoria mall area is not that way.
