Finally installed the motor in the two bikes. Going to do my best to wire them cleanly, install new points, distributer, regulator, plugs and wires, adjust timing and so on. I just want to hear this motor run again. Part 1 of two.

Damn this video dropped 2 months ago and I didn’t get a notification for it, but I think leave the motor raw it gives it a good contrast and looks awesome; but with that being said it’s Steve’s bike so ultimately what I think don’t mean jack crap. Lol. Great work paint turned out awesome.

I think paint the head black and sand the fins. The powder coat the top covers/kick start lever and hand paint the Yamaha on the side covers black. Leave the rest polished

Looking great guys.
With the points timing you can do it without the rest of the wiring. Using a multimeter on continuity mode have 1 lead on the wire to 1 point and the other lead grounded on the engine. Turn the engine over using the crank nut until you're on compression stroke and you'll hear the multimeter start to beep, keep turning the engine over and the beep should stop when the firing mark is lined up. If it doesn't then move the timing until it goes off at firing mark.
Kinda like the vid you said with the light but opposite lol their way the light comes on at firing, this way the beep stops at firing mark.
