  • Another good weekend down but there’s always something. I’m convinced this bike prefers being a project. Hahahaha #yamahaxs650 #metricchopper

Man I know that disappointment but like you said walk away, regroup and get it done. Fender and sissy bar looks awesome great work.

Looking good and loving the colour and style! Use the kickstart on the old XS as the starter motors are not that great, an electronic ignition needs a good 12v to run and using the starter will drain the battery way below that, especially an initial start up.

Good to hear from you again. Your right. I’m going to put the front wheel on this week and do just that

The further away the sissy bar is from the gas tank the more it will

    👍😎👍
If you need additional leather washers..cut up an old belt or old work boots..
If you need a hole punch..grind down the edge of a duplicate socket..or a piece of pipe..

Yeah TC Bros missed with those 3/8" wide axle plates, a good swap is the adjusters from honda CB650/750 as They're made for 10mm axle plates rather than the xs650 ones that are for 15mm plates.

Could you tell me how to register a rigid 1970 650 yamaha? Im also wondering about blinkers also.

Does your bike have a title? If is does there is no difference. If not some states will allow a new title after a search is made to confirm it’s not stolen if it’s 25 years or older

Im in nova scotia Canada and there seems to be some confusion. The dnv say it has to have signal light and have shocks if newer than 1970. If its older the rules change. Then I see a rigid modded bike drive by and it has no signal lights or rear shocks and has nova scotia plates.I guess Im going to have to talk to them. The bike I want is a 1970 650xs but is registerd in new brunswick so not sure how that would work.I'll have to go talk to them.I have some 60's nortons and dont need signal lights.
