I lived in Osaka back in 1950s and 60s. I remember that same subway train at 1:01 was still running in 1960s. I also remembered Nankai Railway Namba Station at 1:36. Some of those old carriages were still running also. Some had U.S. made General Electric power. The dome roof was still there back in 1960s and 70. Tsutenkaku was the tallest tower in Japan until Tokyo tower was erected. I think back in 1930s Osaka was lot better than today overall, less air pollution and congestion, even 1950s-60s was very good. It was terrible many of these beautiful ornate buildings were bombed by B-29. The only building left was mainly the Osaka Castle. This is why war should never be fought, the end result is always massive damage beside the human toll.

its a weird feeling that all the adults in this video who are vividly captured have all died. although technology has changed and buildings have gone taller. but they are no different from us. just in another world in another time.
You are definitely right! Thank you so much for your comment!
I am from Hong Kong, Osaka looked so modern at that time, although Japanese has invaded my homeland, Japan and Hong Kong always has great friendship
Thank you so much for your comment! I have a lot of friends who have been to Hong Kong, but I haven't been there yet, so I definitely want to go to Hong Kong someday.
