You probably won't read this, but I have to let you know: You're the reason why I actually got over my fear and started painting. I had purchased a million tools and paints but I was never able to actually do what I wanted with them. I got in my own head and I intimidated myself. I let mistakes demoralize me. Then I stumbled upon your videos and you started showing models in near complete states and I was blown away. You broke down the steps, showed the process and clean up, and even multiple techniques for the same effect.Your words made me realize that I would be happy with 25% of your effort. And suddenly I didn't feel so overwhelmed. I know for damn sure that you can go way further with even your completed models, but I fully understand that's a labor of love not of necessity. When you pause and say "I could stop here and it'd look great"... there's no lie. Thanks for being you and genuinely wanting to lift people up. I'll be joining the patreon. Thanks.
Yup same here. Whenever I watch Brent paint Im inspired to paint. Do I make mistakes? Yes .. but its part of the process. Thanks to Your Dad Im finishing my best piece yet. Thanks for that. Inspiring videos♥️
Literally just made a couple mistakes picking up a piece I just airbrushed. Also experiencing ink reactivation and mistakes airbrushing acrylics. Million things going wrong, but thanks to Your Dad I'm now looking at the successes and not concerned with having to redo pieces. @@Vostoceq
Broski. That’s a 🐬 amazing message to read. I want nothing more than to show people just how simple it can be, kinda like that one friend who just eggs you on to try that thing you were to scared of or shows you a new trick you never thought of. I just wanna share the thing I enjoy and help dudes who are stuck with no clue where to start to realise that it’s easy enough once you just get started!! There are no mistakes only additional layers…
You have done that and more. I know sometimes it's hard to fathom how much impact you have on an individual, especially from someone way across the pond, but I want you to know I literally have been painting every day this week. I haven't made a ton of progress, but I'm doing it. I'm really effing doing it. I'm getting that experience, finding out first hand how stuff dries, mixes, or lays. No more paralysis by analysis. Your wife and kid are certainly proud, and that's all that matters. Thanks for responding! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays! @@Groundeffected
Very happy to read all this. I’m glad he was able to help you!
I'm amazed how people can do this, especially one handed. Very nice.
The more i see you working, the more i wanna start with this new hobby...
Simple. Straight forward. Stunning
Stunning work on an amazing model. The trick with the silk/white is also top tier, thanks for that.
Great painting skills! I like how you keep it simple
Great work as always, simple with great results. The laser etching was a nice touch to the base. Thanks!
Haha thanks dude. Yea the laser is cool need to think how else to use it.
Back to simple and straight to the point but still great enough for people to enjoy and pick up some tips. Great job and, now I know you can email whilst using the toilet.. brilliant!!!
Incredible paint work!
Wow that looks amazing
beautiful work
Te quedo increíble, el color de la piel...felicitaciones EXCELENTE trabajo
That looks amazing, really good talent, made it look so easy.
i in the research phase. dont have my own studio or set up yet. yesterday morning i was thinking about your technique then saw this video which confirmed my thoughts...paint quickly with a dark color then fill in the the desired color...you say it makes it look like you spent more time than you actually did on the model...which is true. thank you for your encouragement.
freekin fantastic straight to the point tutorial. thanks a bunch. confidence level now increased by 300%.... and subbed
Your skill to paint the eyes is amazing, they turn out great every time!
Stunning
infrared laser - never thought to use that on Resin, very nice!
wtf your work looks amazing! WOW! I wish I had some kind of this talent :D very very nice!
great job
Súper beautiful
Just discovered your channel and I love your style, it looks like you also have a load of great content for me to devour. Thank you sir!!
Now this man-child must return to playing with his dollys.
End product looks really good ♥
Amazing work.
Impressed
I really like the skin tone. I like your use of purple and red before you start. I think I'll have a look at this one again. Sometimes less is more and knowing when to stop is a skill in itself. Some people over do it, overwork stuff. I find human skin really hard so really appreciate what you did there. 🙂
Nice work as always.
nicely done
Truly amazing in the skin color. You are a legend.
A amazing job and she looks amazing.
Thank you so much 😊
AMAZING WOW
This guy is amazing!
Great video! I over complicate a build in my head so much that I never get started on it.
Masterpiece man
The skin tones are AMAZING, well done!
That looks amazing O_O the skin came out so good
You are a genius and your ability art is amazing. I love the result
very good painting
amazing !!!!
Great job !
And one more subscriber in the heart of Belgium (Brussels). Amazing, honestly you convinced me to take the step and start printing figurines. The only thing holding me back was the painting stage, but with your videos and a lot of work and be patient, I'm sure I could improve.
Frik yes dude. Let’s go! I’m amped for you. Just go for it my dude
Thank bro 🙏@@Groundeffected
Killer work on Silk.
Holly shxt! Amazing job!
you make it look way too easy, great video!
The extended showcase at the end is appreciated.
great work!
Laser is an awesome added touch
amaizing art
Amazing!!!
Jesus Christ DAD!! is like I jump on CA3D, fall in love with a model, and in within the week... BOOM! you deliver. Keep up the great content man.
Hahaha well at least you got a guide for when you start!
SICK MAN! Great work!💯🔥😃👍
nice technique and fabuleus result also nice model
Thank you 🙏
Lasers!! Awesome work my dude!!
the whole reason why I can't 3d print what I would love to is because I didn't know how to paint it. you make it look so easy that i want to do it right now.
Don't wait until you can, just buy and exercise. You'll get the hang of it.
Wow she’s gorgeous 😮
Skin tones look amazing. Something I need to learn
Haven't been keeping up to date with 3d printer tech but holy shit how far we've come since the pandemic, the skin looks so smooth I literally would have thought it was a cast model if it werent for the part showing the model hanging on the plate. Sucks that I literally need to buy a new house to get a resin printer though.
Einfach nur Mega gute Arbeit alleine das mit der haut und mit den Augen dazu das Weiße der Bandage Top Arbeit 100 %
Another amazing job. Wish I was as skilled as you!
Thank you. This one is super easy tho!
@@Groundeffected I have yet to learn how to airbrush and with regular brush, I hate painting skin, it looks ugly. 😭
You can use paint retarder or water to thin your paints (depending on the type) and that will eliminate your tide marks from brush painting. Blending with a brush can lead to great results.@@thehungryhungarian84
Man i dont have the vision to figure out were the pink stops and yelows begins. Awesome job.
I love your channel. You are very talented! Definitely deserves more views. One question: do you prefer to print the pieces vertically? I'm just starting out and I have a lot of questions. Hug from Brazil
Perfect timing, I just printed this model to paint as a Xmas gift for my brother.
Sweet! She’s Uber easy to paint just have to get the skins right could even skip the whole brown layer on the silk and just go straight deck tan.
I got some Iridescent Pearl from Golden Acrylics that I'll use for the spider silk, wanted to add that shimmer like effect that spider silk has, hope it'll turn out the way I'm thinkin 🤣 @@Groundeffected
Great work
Thanks
I had a feeling the costume was gonna be deck tan. LOVE that color as well
Haha deck tan for the win
good job man 🥰
god damn it ! once again, what a beautiful paint job! it's mostly because of you that I bought a gktwo and have subscribe to CA3D ... well I don't think that with those I can be as good as you but at least I only can improve, thanks for being here Dad ! :p
nice work m8
Great work as usual. I was thinking of painting this one with a Pearlescent white paint to get the costume to look silky, but then I looked at how much masking would be required!
Lol yea dont do that hahaha
A really nifty trick to use a laser to etch out patterns on a primed base!
Excelent!
Another banger my guyyyy
Hahah couldn’t have done it without ma pal
Amazing work! You're such an inspiration!
I have two questions for you:
1) About how long did it take you, start to finish, to paint this one?
2) If you REALLY messed up somewhere along the line, like truly botched the face or something, would you just start from scratch again? Reprint the head and just do it over? Or would you paint over it, or remove the paint and redo it? (Asking from the perspective of a true beginner)
Thanks!
Duuuuude! Think I'm getting back to printing and painting again. Been a long break! Hope the paints aren't dry by now lol Thanks for another amazing video!
Welcome back!
I freaking love your videos. And the character lol
Haha thanks dude.
nice work uuuuhhhhhhh
Cool
I was wondering about this for a bit but, do you by any chance use pre-supported models or you add supports on the slicer program?
Do you know if there are any classes you could recommend to learn to paint? I understand the emphasis on creating shadows and why layering of colours is essential. However, I have never airbrushed, and it has been quite some time since I have handled paints and brushes.
Nice
Love the commentary. :) Down to earth and simple. Model looks awesome as always. Love watching you paint these. You must have one wicked ass collection.
Thank you. Yea I do have a pretty sizeable collection now.
Imagine that model as your wife, life would be good
I would love to see a sam wilson falcon print done and painted by you i been watching your videos trying to get better at painting models. Your an excellent painter
Anything else I may or may not think about you, I do feel that in a painting competition you stand a really good chance of winning. top 3 finish is damn near an absolute, regardless of whether or not you think your abilities are good enough. i've learned quite a bit. I've been airbrushing cars, planes, and tanks for years and years now. Freehanding camo. Figures have given me troubles I've had several but really too afraid to go forth. Only done 2 until I cam accross your videos. I've printed about 5 now, and each one is leaps and bounds ahead of the last. I'm not a sculptor but I have designed plenty of car parts that are available on CGTrader.
anywhere where we can see your painted figures?
Great looking model! I sometimes try to put too many rocks in my potato sack! I think sometimes that's a big reason why I have so many half finished projects!
Hahaha exactly time to start putting less rocks and getting more sacks if you ask me.
You make it look so easy but I still struggle with skin, and getting something that actually looks real and proper.
Sorry dude. Prints bunch of heads and spend a Sunday just learning it
Efn beautiful. I’m trying to get to your level
Sir, could you do a video on your setup and the safety measures you take using your resin printer, engraver, and spray paint booth.
Dude I don’t take very many safety measures. I’m not that kind of dude. I smoke and cross roads in dodgy places. So apart from gloves here and there and opening doors I don’t do much else
Damn! That's superb! I'm always intimidated by trying to paint skin tones.
Seems that no one has realised that you said you have your LIGHTS blinded by the EYEBALLS hahaha, love your videos, has helped me a lot as a beginner to 3d printing and painting!
Hahaha they probably didn’t even realise glad it is helpful for you.
Oh its that a Final Getsuga Tenshou Suit? 😄
can I please get the STL for this silk? :3
you are doing a very good job. I'm researching coz i want to buy my own airbrush and start painting 3d prints
Hello, I am torn between the BAMBU LAB X1 model and the Creality K1 model. Which model would you recommend me and why?
your hoodie... reminds me vaguely of a youtube drum teacher that wears as his uniform, a hobbes/tigger onesie.
Just got into resin printing and painting, your channel is very informative, thanks man and keep up the great videos. You sound South African? Howzit! Lekka Lekka!
Great video, just starting with painting. Could you please explain your paint choices for the skin like you did for the "silk". There are so many options why choose the colors that you used?
Check out my past videos. There’s many different ways to do it. I’ve changed it over the time too. It’s a constant changing thing for me. But I’ve done many videos on different ways to do skins. Hope that helps.
I am more than certain you have said this somewhere, but where do you get these files. My printer is on the way and I would like to start looking at them. Your work is the best I’ve seen and I’m taking all my lessons from you lol.
5:35 I'm suddenly craving a fried egg.
Wow amazing work 👍🏻 i m new in this stuff so i have no Knowledge about this stuff. What Printer, what airbrush set, etc. do you have some edvice for me. Or maybe a device List ? I want to start the Hobby with my Kid.
I really appreciate you sharing the knowledge! How do you avoid getting visible brush strokes on the model when you paint?
Thin your paint and layer it
You make me wish I had some talent and skill......and tattoos.
