Gundog Training - Hunting Hedges and Ditches

In this video I explain how to hunt the edge of a wood and a ditch, the same technique can be used if working a hedge line. I am hunting young Twig using an RRT Lucky Launcher and RRT launcher and large strobe dummies all available from www.fullpip.ltd to simulate a shot and a retrieve.

Was wondering about that too, might just be firing without the sealing ring, reduces distance significantly.

I personally don't want to criticise your fantastic training but this system doesn't help your dog to improve finding bird game ability and you keep distracting them through whistling. I can see your dog doesn't have an intelligence to hunt! You should let them to find real birds not toys. I would suggest you to watch Irish spaniel springer hunt in hedgerow on TH-cam
