When I think of Seiko watches in particular I never see a numeral dial in black face. Usually they have just rectangular raised hour markers. Personally I rather have the actual numerals and with being lighted so much the better. 7N43 is the caliber code for Seiko but it's not listed on the internet for copy of the instructions. A Paul Garnier goldtone wristwatch with Roman numerals is the highly sought after military style from the 1950s but regular numerals is OK too. Both look to be from the1970s to me from their backs. Dude…ya gotta get a mil-spec brass wrist compass that has been painted OD and add it to the band…then you can distress it a bit… “Ol’ Scooter” in East Texas…
Hi Mike, watch looks good. Mark from Long Islsnd Watch did a video a while ago now, in which he explained Seiko numering codes and what they mean. Off the top of my head i believe one of the numbers refers to the year and the week of the year it was made in. 👍

first number is year but you have to look things up to determine the model made within those years - second number is the month
