- well, I just found this on one old CD and found it quite interesting, I suppose this is the british version of trailer, but frankly I have no idea what exactly is this meant to be. Anyway, I couldn't found this on the tube, so I uploaded it
hell, it does kinda feel like a retro when you read about those fantastic features the game had...
The most memorable line for me:
"This is November 1, I have eyes on the target over"

yes back in 2001 Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis was on the XBOX and PC and i had a sound blaster eax sound card back in 2001.
Operation Flashpoint: Elite didn't come to Xbox until 2005, IIRC. It was PC only for a few years.
Xbox version came much later and was a mess.
@@thedeegee1601 Uh, no. OFP: Elite was pretty damn fantastic because of the XBox's crystal clear and reliable voice comm and Microsoft's demands on Bohemia that they fix their bugs. One of the few bugs I remember was that you could swim across water by riding a bicycle through it. I considered it a feature, because OFP didn't have swimming. Otherwise I played Elite for a year and had a great time with the diverse community. Remember Aryan Artisan? You should, because he probably killed you.

I love how it said "advanced AI" and then proceeds to show a dude walking at sunset followed up by a collage of pictures lol

Видимо нигде. Наверное эта версия игры просто лежит на полках архива Богемов запыленная, которую они наверное вряд-ли выложат в сеть. По-этому вот так, но кто знает - может ещё есть шансы что они это сделают допустим на очередной юбилей ОФП

Yes, but judging by the beta content in the early versions and builds of the game, they wanted to add a lot of things to the game. For example, commander machine guns for tanks (the T-72 had it in the trailer, by the way), but apparently they couldn’t implement it or for other reasons. There is also the same with the RPG-7, which can already be seen on the screenshots of the 1999 OFP, but it was also cut out and replaced with the Czech RPG-75 grenade launcher (I think everything was due to the fact that they could not implement a separate animation for reloading it , which, unlike the M72, should be completely different) and a lot of things. So the release of the game turned out to be a bit raw.
@@kepka208 OFP:CWC had everything the full spectrum warfare needed, except melee, additional pistol slots (IIRC), and mid-game joining/join-in-progress. The latter is, in my opinion, why BF1942 was more popular. BF1942 had relatively small maps, but being able to join a multiplayer session in progress was a necessity, especially when you got dropped from servers as often as you did in CWC. I also think that the two-syllable name "Flash Point" would have been more popular than "Operation Flashpoint"-then-"Operation Flashpoint: Cold War Crisis" (maybe Codemasters was already working on the Red Hammer campaign when they decided on adding "Cold War Crisis" to the name.
@@kepka208 Actually the M72, like the RPG-75, wouldn't have needed any reloading animations at all, both being disposable single-shot weapons in real life, though the choice of having them be a launcher + separate ammo ordeal like the RPG-7 is understandable from gameplay perspective, considering how the game handles its weapons and inventory.
OFP was the best! Those ragdolls are still good!
