Comedy is very difficult to dance. It layers an entirely different art form on top of countless lessons, competitions, creativity, grace, attention to detail, balance, anticipation, AND great costuming. I'm sure I'm missing about ten, but you two had them all. And topped it with a professionalism that was a delight. And THANK YOU FOR POSTING THE ENTIRE DANCE! 😉
Ikr, I did too and I feel like they just did more maybe technically challenging moves but this one just had more timing and personality that actually went with the song, idk maybe the judges saw more slight mistakes with this one and the 1st place one may be more precise and difficult but I personally got a little bored while watching the 1st place routine

The choreography and execution in this performance was stellar, your movements and transition into new moves were done so smoothly, it had me mesmerized multiple times. More than the great dancing itself, your energy and chemistry with each other kept me engaged, it really feels like watching two people who trust and respect each other, and who love and have fun dancing together, which makes the performance a joy to watch too. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for more of your performances!

Swing was the only kind of dance I could do because of a birth defect and I loved it so much. I wish I had kept it up for as long as I could after high-school but I was scared to go by myself. I wish I could go back in time and tell young me to get your ass out on the dance floor while you can. Beautiful performance!

Started watching this west coast dancing several months ago. It just started popping up in my utube feed. Enjoyed watching everyone perform and was entriqued by how well couples who didnt necessarily dance together, were chosen to dance together. It was absolutely amazing. You had caught my eye since you had a little more finess to your dance and took your partner on a beautiful ride thru the dancefloor. Some girls performances were better than others, but you were the standout. I have subscribed so that i can see more of your performances. I'm a 70 year old grandma, but love to dance. I don't have the stamina i used to after two knee surgeries, but do enjoy watching you and your partner. I know its hard work, but keep it up!

After doing a lengthy deep dive on Western swing, I found this performance at the Open. Congratulations. It is a wonderful performance and placement by “amateurs”. I wish you much continued success. I have to ask, have you done the deep dive into the old performances by Jordan and Tatiana? Your partner has the kind of athleticism that Tatiana exhibits and your smooth style as a leader. Reminds me of Jordan’s. Is one of the reasons when I watch y’all I am constantly reminded of that pairing. Not to take anything away from you and what you do. I especially enjoyed hearing postmodern jukebox in your performance. I love their stuff and it is well suited to West Coast swing. I wish I could dance with someone. Unfortunately, as I’ve grown older, I developed spinal stenosis and have to walk with a walker most of the time. So my balance is just not up to dancing anymore.
