this movie was amazing ; yeah ,we heard of women trapping men but her boyfriends was straight up trying to trap her . like you knew the condom broke ? and didn’t say nothing and try to make me a pregnant wife i’m a small town when i have big dreams .NO .
These types of movies you usually see the 2 characters learn from each other and adapt each other's ways.. but at the end of this movie... Feels like Veronica's changed a lot but Bailey stayed the same...
IMO, an ending song that would have ALSO been good for this movie would be the song "That's What Friends Are For"--the Rod Stewart version, which was the ending song of an underrated 1982 movie, Night Shift...
Before the choice issue, there's the responsibility issue. The act of getting pregnant entails you to be in a very responsible position. If you cannot by any means care for the fruits of your actions, then you should not do the act of getting pregnant in the first place. Pleasure is fleeting. It is a wave that you can choose to entertain or let pass. It is not an essential need in life in order to get by through the day. It has good and bad fruits. Life gives enough evidence of its bad fruits... broken marriages, STD's, addiction, unstable relationships... Unpopular opinion, boring opinion, "not fun"... but true. I'm happy with true :) Have a great day!
Thanks for your comment. I appreciate it very much. Although it may be an unpopular and boring opinion, it would be a conclusion reached inevitably some day in life, rechewed over and over, and willingly valued by almost every one. I think so. You have a great day too!
There are millions of 'responsible' people that either accidentally get pregnant or become pregnant from other, perhaps much more darker ways. Someone, regardless of whether it is a doctor, scientist, or one's next door neighbor named Bob equating becoming pregnant with being irresponsible is really fucking dumb because it just isn't how reality works, at all. There are irresponsible people that never become pregnant and people that are responsible who may have fifteen pregnancies. It's an unpopular opinion (your words, not mine) not because it is boring or not fun, but because it is just complete nonsense. That's just beyond silly.
I don't want to argue with anyone on that matter. It's none of my concerns. But I want to point out that your question is wrong, I mean it is preposterous. This movie is not a fantasy, but a story based on some reality. I think that the word of Veronica, one of the protagonists of this movie, may help you understand the situation, and after pondering on it, maybe you should put other word in the place of "movie" in your question, "What kind of movie is this?" -- Veronica: "This is a joke. I shouldn't be here. I should not be here! I should be able to just walk down the street and open a door and waltz right in and say, "Hello, my name is Veronica. My boyfriend is an asshole. Here's my $500. Oh, oh, yes, I would love a cup of water. Thank you so much. That's so sweet of you." But no. Nope! Instead I literally had to drive 996 miles, and now I'm stranded in this freaking field in the middle of nowhere, (...) Why in the hell do you need to get parental consent to have an abortion, but not to actually birth a human child? Ugh! Fuck you, Missouri State Legislature!"
@@chloexoxo3007 how does that make me a sicko? u realize that a teen's body can't properly handle being pregnant as it is still a developing body and can destroy another if trying to create another body. plus, the fetus was only in the early stages, so just a clump of cells more than anything, really. plus, if a teen does get preggers, parents can be really hard on them and either throw em out or treat them terribly. and if she never got an abortion then she would have to give birth and child birth is so painstaking its hard to even imagine wanting to give birth. and continuing what i was talking about before, a teenager has a bigger risk of dying at childbirth along with the child, and if that luckily doesnt happen the baby may have some birth defect. another thing is that most teens arent ready which may end up with the child being put in foster care, or being raised by someone else which is a growing problem not only nationwide, but in most places in the world. and you can choose not to watch the movie if it bothers you that much but yeah
I know the movie blamed her boyfriend cause of the "broken condom" but the movie itself never blamed Veronica for having sex that young. It's her fault in the first place cause she let her boyfriend take advantage of her. I'm disappointed that in the movie she really didn't had to be blamed.
The comment section itself proves why we needed this movie.

Wow if only someone wanted me that much ha ha
I wish the ending was a bit longer or more then where they ended it.

Rachel Lee Goldenberg came a long way since her days in THE ASYLUM
What kind of movie is this? Teenager travels hundreds of miles to get baby killed?

Disgusting
“So now that I had my baby killed and left his/her body behind in medical waste, let’s drive off into the New Mexico hills!”
Get over yourself.
Shut up
I know it’s so sad, why did they made abortion a right?

It’s impossible to allow someone take advantage of you that doesn’t come natural someone does it without your knowledge
Great victim blaming
LMAO WHAT... do u hear urself..... u literally just said its her fault for getting taken advantage of... stfu
In the book, Kevin broke the condom on purpose, this reason would have made more sense for all this fuss.
