"The UK spends more than anywhere else in Europe subsidising the cost of structural inequality in favour of the rich".This was the headline from the Equality Trust’s cost of inequality report and analyse which came out few weeks ago, inequalities of income, wealth and power cost the UK £106.2bn a year compared with the average developed country in the OECD.Britain in the 1970s was one of the most equal of rich countries. Today, it is the second most unequal, after the US

I thought Johnson was the worse PM we’ve ever had, then along comes Truss & thank heavens that a lettuce won the longevity contest. Likewise, The sooner that Sunak is gone from all our lives the better. The guy is so far out of touch with real life that it’s just not funny anymore.

      I think they all do.
Kussenberg(?) did an interview of Starmer a while back, and it was terrible. I've lost all faith in the political and media systems as this is just evidence of the lack of integrity.
Starmer was just as bad for repetition of answers, all of which were sound bites of party manifesto as opposed to actually answering anything.
Mind Kussenberg wasn't much better 😅 She seemed only intent on trying to get a "gotcha" quote out of him, by repeating the same tired question on a supposed hot topic of the time (rail strikes/nationalising of infrastructure)
It's all a charge and a crock of wank these days. It's become a popularity contest, where the winners generally don't know what to do with themselves once they get behind the reigns of the nation.

Sunak's first question to advisers 'how can we fiddle the figures to make me look good?'
EG. He removes a third of crimes by ignoring fraud so he can claim crime is down when its really up!!
