That’s exactly where I was going to go with my comment. It is very highly likely that the former LEO was a victim of a home invasion robbery and has been taken somewhere and is now dead and dumped. This crazy shooter stole the former officers firearms and vehicle and went on a rampage. Based solely on the information provided in this news report, me having spent 33 years in law enforcement, this would be my first go to scenario.

I hope Hoda is alive somewhere, although I believe he is harmed if it seems there was a bit of a struggle seen at his home. I am just wondering why the cops were not called the first time? If the shooter shot at the house multiple times then left and came back 3 hours later. Why were the cops not called when it first happened especially because there were children in the house? If they were, they would have said so, That was not just a random house he chose.

What do I think happened? Well since nobody asked.
1. The suspect knew either the officer (possible previous arrest?) or he just knew he used to be a cop. So he was targeted for this reason.
2. There was “a little bit of a struggle” that took place in the officers home, but he hasn’t been located. Detroit at its biggest bad 1.5 million people, now the city is at 600,000. The amount of abounded homes, should be the FIRST PLACE SEARCHED.
3. The suspect used the officers car and guns. As criminals advance their “careers” (if you wanna call it that) they get more brazen. He came BACK to shoot up the house AGAIN.
The truth is, that cops is most likely gone. His previous profession was likely the reason for his demise… Hug your families and tell them you love them, because you never know when it’s gonna be your last.

If the shooter is responsible for the officers disappearance and most likely his death, it’s very doubtful that he would’ve taken the time to dismember the body and dump it various places around town. The most likely scenario is that the body is dumped in a field or trench or an abandoned house etc. etc.

This is horrible; it’s not looking good for the ex-cop; I doubt he has anything to do with this, nor would he let someone borrow his guns. That suspect obviously was either high on something or suffers from a mental illness and that could prove disastrous for anyone who had something that he wanted…and he no doubt wanted weapons and wheels.
