Finally!! A gear head TH-camr for the rest of us!! No free parts from sponsors. No lifts. Harbor Fright floor jack. Using an adjustable wrench as a micrometer. Using a muffler bracket as a tape measure. I can totally relate. The only thing you missed was knocking the throw-out bearing off the clutch arm a hundred times😤

  • @Bikedueder

Hell yeah... I have a 1970 Formal Roof Torino... I have already been through all of this on my car over the last 6 years... We have MANY days of horrible 105-109 hot weather and I am 56, AND working alone... For mine I found low mileage climate controlled original leaf springs from a car wrecked in 1971 or 2. THen I got Monroe Load Handler coil over shocks for a Ranchero which are two inches longer, removed the lower eyes, and welded the bayonet ends onto them from another set of old shocks. Since I lifted the back end with McBay shackles as well, the length difference was all but eliminated. I've been dreaming of owning a 70-71 Torino since I was in 9th grade, and finally got it in 2017. I JUST fired up the Blueprint crate engine today... No feeling better than that. It sounds evil with long tube open headers, hehe.

Yea nothing about those sponsored parts do anything for me. I know it’s bound to work for the companies but for the life of me I don’t get it. What would make me wanna run out buy something just because a TH-camr got it free. Damndist thing I ever seen.
Edit. I was actually saving money for a Holly Sniper. Then vicegrip said he got about 10 of them for free while he was putting one a TH-camrs truck from Canada. I’m trying to save money for one while they giving them to people who can afford to buy it. I scraped the plan and bought a new Motorcraft for my 390. It’s running perfect and I had money left over.

If you get the ignition switch for a 71-73 mustang you should just have to cut the harness connector and re use your old one. since someones already be in there hacking you probably wont have to butcher anything to make it work.

Thank you for addressing the elephant in the room at the beginning of this video: Sponsorships. Sponsorships are great, but viewers are not getting those types of benefits. Your showing real revivals on a realistic budget is a lot more appealing to me. Real revivals with multi-episode projects are far more relatable.

I'll take sponsored stuff, but not for EVERY project.
