- This is a tool-assisted speedrun. For more information, see tasvideos.org/...
This movie has been obsoleted by tasvideos.org/...
TAS originally published on 2015-12-03
We follow our hero, Earthworm Jim, as he attempts to foil the evil Psycrows' plan to steal away the beautiful Princess What's-Her-Name.
YamiAmarillo ( tasvideos.org/... ) beats this quirky game in record time, via the use of various tricks and glitches, as well as using the easiest difficulty to minimize the in-between level mini-games.

I've never felt so fulfilled as that ending. Happy Cows Everywhere.
Lol, that is one of the weirdest video game endings ever made!😅
I’ve never felt so fulfilled as that COW
I like how he managed his puppies' hp just to progress this speedrun faster, something I wouldn't even ever think of. And tbh even though I played this game many times I still don't know how to access 50% of secret areas, but he manages to glitch through the walls instead. Damn dude how is this even possible.
I know I'm suuuper late but if you're still out there I think its because its a tool assisted speedrun. From what I understand of them the game is played by a program that you can get to do impossible things like insane input speeds and frame perfect exploits. The thing is you really have to know how the game works and exactly what inputs to use. So on the one hand you could say it's wack because a person didnt do it but a person had to program the software to pull this off. I always found breaking games as interesting tho so I love this sort of thing,.
@@Aveance94 That's about right! The way it works is the "player" uses features like save states and slow motion to enter inputs on the exact frames they need to happen on, and the TAS is the result being replayed in real time at full speed.
TAS runs are not meant to replace real human players, but are a means to demonstrate what's theoretically possible in a game when it's pushed to its absolute limit. They're by no means easy to make; you _need_ to know a game inside and out to make one.
God, how I hated the puppies levels as a kid.
You'd hate them now aswell, trust me.
I still hate them a lot right now
They’re so long….
I actually loved them and I still love. Theyre fun to play.
@@rafaelogenio819 totally agree, catching those puppies while having reflex is so fun and challenging xD also love the gags in that level too xD
For some reason I remember Earthworm Jim 2 way more than the original.
Just noticed music at 19:50 is the same as some level I don't remember in ECCO 2
earthworm jim 2; let puppies die%
WELL DONE
:)
I want to have whatever drugs the creators of this had.
Great game
Puppy love takes forever and ruins speedruns!!
Right on time with the NES bootleg release haha
Is anyone else curious about how Lorenzo's Soil was coded, with it's changing terrain?
Also, wasn't there a hell level, or was that in the 1st game?
Also, I remember in the game manual, one of the buttons on the controller was for ordering pizza :P
You are referring to "What the Heck?" from the first game
@@AirknightTails Thanks, I knew I remembered the level, just not when in the series it was.
Soil was ahead of its time and so advanced the PC version devs couldn't figure it out and scrapped the level.
@@ToxicBarrel Weird how they didn't find some sort of replacement for Lorenzen's Soil, the devs at Shiny had an extremely painful task of porting the level to each console, the P.C version is probably the point where they'd given up or it couldn't handle this much processing, but even with that said the P.C port should've had some sort of new level to replace it, I think the scrapped "Carnival Ride" level would've been great
The what the heck level was in the first game
I always got stuck on the flying level. It's still a great game but there are difficult levels
Help me with 11:36 jump, I can't do that!
Inflated head level 12:24
Just realized its the Candy Mountain song from that Charlie the Unicorn vid
Is that the final product on the Psycrow mini games?
What I mean is: Is that the order of puppies not to be saved so that Psycrow throws the bomb out the fastest? Or is it still an ongoing study?
oh shit I didn't realise Psycrow would throw bombs faster if you let puppies die, I thought the only change was based off of the difficulty
They're wave based, saving the puppies or letting them die, either way, goes to the next wave, by letting them die, you save time by not having to bounce them to Peter Puppy and it goes to the next wave, repeating this until you get the bomb and if you have enough health to skip the waves
This one is really good along with the original, but I find myself going back to the original a lot more. This one seems a lot more challenging and unforgiving, whereas the original gets easier with time. Idk though, I've only beaten this one once.

lmao ofc this gets a re-encode once the nes bootleg is published
"WHOA"
