Tarful and Chewie at least knew, they helped Yoda escape Kashyyyk. Maybe they got the word out to the other wookiees?
Well the woolies likely heard about the jedi betrayal of Palpatine, and this happened before the empire turned on the wookies, so they likely weren't upset at the Jedi.

Even if they didn’t at first, I’m sure they figured it out once the Republic became the totalitarian Empire. Especially once (almost) all the Jedi disappeared from the galaxy.
The last time I was this early they had only been fighting on Mimban for 6 months.
I don’t know why, but I absolutely lost it when you tried to pronounce the name of the ship as a wookie would. XD I guess I just wasn’t expecting what I heard at all. It sounded absolutely hilarious, BUT also very believable/ realistic. Another great video as always.

To be fair, a Wookie is significantly bigger than a humanoid, so an 8 Wookie passenger limit might translate to 10 or even 12 humanoids.

It makes me wonder if the Rebels made use of these gunships more often than mentioned to help supplement as a make shift vessel for the lack of LAAT gunships. The U-Wing was fantastic but only so many of them were available.

I just built mine. It isn't bad, but it certainly isn't seamless. Really cool build, though. Fairly easy to customize, which is why I bought it lol

*Design flaws:*
1) The wings/engine mounts are to high and block most of the turrets view, it can only aim to the front arc and above. If the wings were side mounted (and that fin removed) the turret could have much better coverage.
2) A bottom mounted turret could be used for ground targets as the ship flys by/straffs, to suppress slaver camps.
Ideally side mounted wings with above and below turrets linked to fire at same targets in horizontal arc, but if have to choose, bottom is a better firing arc, especially if there's a particular design reason the wings are that way, so they are left in that position.
3) Needs ion cannons to disable ships carrying Wookie slaves, destroying them doesn't rescue the slaves. Also once again disabling slave camps.
Best location is front grouped with the forward firing laser cannons, to help take down shields faster and to be fired separately once shields are down so as to not risk harming slaves in transport. If ship can't fit extra guns, remove half the forward mounted laser cannons.
4) Could be fitted with door gunners like with the *U-Wing.* It may well be doing hostage/slave rescue under fire as it lands.
And with a Wookies strength the door guns could be removed and used by the rescue squad when on the ground. A Wookie with a blaster machine gun…
2,3 & 4 can be done without adding extra strain to the ship.
Imagine in *_Solo_* a couple of Wookie gunships (with ion cannons and bottom mounted turrets, plus door guns) could have taken that slave mine. Blast the anti air defenses, ion cannon the droids and any ships (to be hijacked), along with the bases systems (communication and main control) and then blast any ground troops before landing.
Wookie troops with heavy weapons (and armour and/or Gungan force shields, they could carry a lot of gear) in the tunnels would quickly overwhelm the mines guards.
Although ideally the best Wookie gunships would be modified versions of standard ships so they blend in, don't scream *"WOOKIE LIBERATION"* and can get the drop on targets. That same _Solo_ mining slave camp would go on alert as soon as it saw Wookie gunships.
For that, take inspiration from the _Millennium Falcon_ and modify old YT series freighters than can be picked up cheap. Just don't have them so over worked that they're unreliable.
And stick more guns, maybe in pop up mounts and ion cannons. Imagine if a *YT-1300* was rebuilt as a _Q-ship raider,_ without worrying about cargo capacity and making a living as a freighter.
And what if the base ship was a *YV-929,* which then had even more firepower added?
The big problem with any Wookie ship is Wookies size, the smaller the ship, the more of it has to be devoted to the crew, imagine a *Wookie snub fighter.*
Now one designed for Yoda's species would be high performance with the smaller cockpit.
That's why slightly bigger is best, also it enables then to evacuate a whole camp of Wookie slaves that can stand elbow to elbow for one trip.

Does anyone notice how in the Printed canon. They say that the clone gunship LAAT, can hold about 30 people but in every TV show or video game we only see no more than four people at a time being in the transport

It's very cool looking and you can see the Hind design characteristics in it. So in fact it's more of an armored assault craft in reality like the Hind and not a true gunship or an attack helicopter as we would term a gunship.
And that is not a bad thing as in reality a Mi-24 is designed for a purpose most helicopters are not and that is to deploy and recover troops while being able to stay and suppress the enemy with little fear of being shot down like most troop transports. They don't refer to it as an armored tank for nothing and you really do feel safe in one.

Off topic, but the GAR, if trying to win without Palpatines interference would have done better to use a *Wookie* as the template for the *clone army,* for ground troops.
They could carry heavy weapons with ease, use standard blaster rifles one handed with a Gungan force shield in the other, and rip the arms off a B1 in combat.
With their long lifespan, accelerated aging would still give them a long service life. And they could get more training.
Their strength helps with logistics for the same reason they make good slaves, they could carry torpedos to reload a fighter without a forklift.
For actual flight crew a different species should be chosen, from a much smaller species so that cockpits and crew space can be reduced.
Just find a template that's a confirmed Ace and natural flyboy.
Then there's the Clawdite model covert ops series.
I wonder if they could get a certain Chiss as their strategic and tactical template.? Or is the timing out (Han Solo as the pilot donor… I know).

I REALLY hate the way Wookiees are treated. They need their own show. They’re a noble people who are very capable. Chewbacca is treated like literal trash, other times Wookiees are just shown to be weak slaves. Chewbacca is a Clone Wars general, and a veteran of the Empire Civil War and the first order-resistance skirmish, and a very capable talented pilot. Chewy deserves his own show.
