Not one tip I haven’t put into practice from LOTB, you got me back on the bank during the pandemic and really exercised my fishing brain again. Thanks again 👍🏻
Thanks for this, bit late to the party because I've only watched your tench videos up to now but I've got a new pass at a venue with big perch so I've come here to learn about lure fishing.
yeah, I see way more people using hard baits for pike than perch. always have a few in my bag every time i go perching. cheers mate. good luck with your fishing.
Thanks for da master class...been fixated on river carp but uve inspired me to jerk bait for a big fat spring stripey before season closes river....amazing to see em hammering bait fish in the freezing cold...
I love getting on TH-cam and seeing that there's a new LOTB vid! Nice advice there, gonna give the Salmo hornet another crack once the wind dies down, I haven't been able to catch on it yet.
@@Lifeonthebank personally I think you have a winning formula. Cover a technique or technical aspect of fishing , then take it it to the field and put it into practice. Your production standards are so high (as you are a professional) and your consistently catching multi species specimens…. I honestly don’t know how you do it… hats off to you
@@Lifeonthebank Love all your vids , but I do like the perch ones. You information is so good and I can’t believe how many big perch you’ve caught. Amazing mate 👍 keep um coming Nick
Good informative video as always. I'd like to say your a bit of a perch master yourself mate. Well done buddy. SG gravity twitch and reggies covers it for me.
High nick, I have commented on a few of your videos. Just waiting to get out and have a go for myself, although an angler of many years, this style is brand new to me, at what point would you maybe put a wire trace on ?? If at all, even if your only targeting Perch , have you suffered any or many bite offs ? Any help advice always greatfully welcomed. Cheers Les.
Nick. I don't know that many have caught on to this but with regarda to the drop shot, think about how sea fisherman fish with paternoster rigs. In water deeper than 3 ft yiu can fish at 2 depths at once! I often fish a combination of the Ned and the drop shot together. Think about it. You are essentially fishing two depths at once, with the same action . Give it a go.
High Nick, I know I have already sent you a message asking for your help. But no answer 😕 If using a wire trace just in case of a pike hit while perch fishing, would you still use a fluro carbon between braid and wire ? Or would you go wire direct to braid 🤔. Hope you can help. Cheers Les.
Here where i am, the season for predatory (pike and sander) its closed till end of april/may, so we can use just worms, insects and everything that will not catch those 2 species. I do not use ned rig as we have to much gobys and will attack everything no matter what size. I hate the gobys, for each perch you get 20 of them :)))))))))).
In my personal experience you won't catch on a hard lure in the colder months, especially at the size you were using. Sizing down is the best way to catch when it's cold .
Love your content but I’ve seriously gone off you as a person. Only takes 20 seconds to reply to message instead of ignoring it. Quite possible the rudest “influencer” I’ve ever messaged

Really learnt a lot from this video - thanks Nick
Thanks! Coming into that time of year where we often have to fish slow!

Brilliant quality videos Nick.i had to stalk perch in a harbour, and I put worm on kickback rig, wait 5 minutes, then the bite.

Kinda makes sense in very deep water but none of my waters are that deep. Not unusual for fly fishermen to do this - 2 flys!
@@Lifeonthebank Point taken! Im fishing local lakes and stretches of the Warwickshire Avon up deep enough for it to work.
Another brilliant video ! Love the crank bait session. Will perch Jesus from Oxford make the cut 🤞
Cranks not used enough in winter. Definitely worth a go!!! 👍👍👍

I see you tie straight into the split ring, do you prefer or advise no swivel?
Don’t tie straight to the split ring. Always use a clip, typically on a light wire trace. 👍
brilliant !
The fin tips look more red in color I'm used to more of an orange color. Are you fishing in England?
Yep, uk percher mate 👍

Cheers. Enjoy your fishing 😁👍👍👍
You tried this with a live lob nick ?
Only fish lures but if they don’t take lobs on a Dropshot then they’re not there!!!! 👍
Are spinners too fast would you say ?
I would say so. Better in more mild conditions 👍
In my personal experience you won't catch on a hard lure in the colder months, especially at the size you were using. Sizing down is the best way to catch when it's cold .
What kg is your rod
3 - 18g Korum ZT for the Ned and general lure work, including cranks and jerks.
1 - 10g Korum ZT for Dropshot
👍👍👍👍
Hello Brother 👍
Hello my friend. 👍
Not done so well on lures for Perch. I cheat and use worms 😆🎣
🤣🤣 outrageous 🤣🤣 good luck to you mate!
