    Great explanation. Do you know a formula to get constant spacing between each element? Like an element every 5 units?

      Use 2nd instead End while create the array, then use a parameter to control the distance between the first and second array group.

    For extruded object, because you need to create a family first and import it. Can't I create an extruded object directly in the .rfa file I'm creating?

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  หลายเดือนก่อน

      It's probably possible but can be messy, especially when you also want to change the size of the extrusions. Using nested families allows you to constrain the location using the reference plane inside the extrusion family while adjusting the size of the extrusion by associating the parameters. If you create an extrusion directly into an arrayed group, it's very likely to break.

    How do you change the height for those vertical sticks?

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  ปีที่แล้ว

      Since this video is about the array formula, I did not add any other parameters such as the height of the sticks. You can add a height dimension in the stick family and load it into the host family. Do not add dimension or parameter to the array in the host family, Revit doesn't like it.

    can we set range for spacing? like it should not be less than 200 and not more than 300

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I know we can have some similar spacing, but I am not sure whether or not we can have both minimum and maximum... I'll have a look next week after I submit my BAS205 assignment.

    So usefull please make a video how array a object in desired path 🌹

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can use array is the path is straight line, or arc. If the path is irregular curved line, you might need to look into Adaptive Family. This is an example: th-cam.com/video/BT9KrIAG4vU/w-d-xo.html

    What if ....total width/ spacing this is ok ??

    • @BINHE615
      @BINHE615  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can. You can dimension the centers of the batten and use a formula like "Total width/Spacing +1", this way the dimension of the batten will not affect the spacing.

      Download the Autodesk Revit Content and have a play with all the window family first.
