Really enjoyed listening to this! I played this piece several times when I was taking lessons from Dave Krehbiel, once with orchestra and other times with piano and I know how hard it is. Very well done Tim!
Wonderful job! It's been many years since I've played this, but it brought back memories of the song and my preparation for the solo performance. I could never get the high C - only ever got it by forcing my myself in unmusical ways and so it would sound horrible, so of course I didn't want to do that for my performance either. Well done.
+Timothy Bedard Ha ha... I guess I'm really lame at trolling. All brass I was guessing rauch or one of those new lewis deurk horns. I play an old HF Knopf. Did you get the bell cut?
+Bill Ralens BTW, I studied under Phil Myers in Minneapolis. That guy would eat a whole tray of brownies and drink a 3 liter bottle of coke in one lesson. He was a conn 8d guy but I've been under a lot of teachers who regretted cutting their horns. That's why I asked.
+Timothy Bedard A few years back, I finished up an MA in horn performance at Julliard. The number of teachers I've had that felt like their classic horns died after getting the bells cut are many. I got my knopf cut I just don't understand what they're talking about. That aside, you performance on the Morceau was great. Geyer then, Lewis now you probably sound the same ;P
Not an easy piece. My critical perfectionist says its a little brassy & could benefit from some extra finesse of expression but i know what it takes to play this piece so no hard knocks , thanks for playing/sharing! Great job
I played this when I was 11, that was 3 years ago, still my favourite French horn music. Very good start in the beginning but not so well when going through the second part, the 6/8 part (well its actually not 6/8, if you played this u know what it is) Love ur second chapter :))
@@josee4791 Why are you surprised? What surprises me is the amount of people with killer talent (like his) in their formative years that just let it go for no good reason. Some try to pick it up again after 10, 20, even 30 years of doing nothing musical.
This performance is incredible.
I played this my sophomore year in high school and you OWNED this. :)
Thanks!

You really did... I am in my 3rd Year in band and am playing the first movement and am really exited! But it sounds terrible...
Nathan Eads
Not you me...
Sameeeee, and yes you did! Saint-Säens would be proud of that one!
Sleepsong〈3 I gotta play it for chair placements this year (freshman)
I'm performing this on euphonium for my senior recital. You killed it... just beautiful.
This was my senior year solo and ensemble piece. Still gives me goose bumps 💕
Lisandra I'm about to play this as my freshman solo and ensemble piece how did it work out

7 years late but yeah… how did it went ?
This is going to take years to get to this level
Somebody called me a Bedard once and I got them expelled.
Great job on the hornings.
nice Conn 8D. Love that Conn sound--just like all those LA recordings. Great job on the Morceau! St Saens would be proud.
+Bill Ralens It is actually an original geyer horn.

+Bill Ralens Bell was cut when I bought it. I play a lewis now. Also cut bell, I don't think a cut bell really changes the sound. But that is my take.

I can’t play this up until the sixteenth notes part

Paypal And more its more like 9/8
You played this at 11 years old?.... Either you are a prodigy or you played a different piece.
I’m playing now
I don’t really like this type of music in general, but I find it good. My band teacher is forcing me to play this.
does anyone know what horn he plays on
This horn was an original geyer. Now I play on a Lewis.
@@timothybedard you still play!?
Pls upload more you sound amazing

Плохо! Очень грубая и неаккуратная, грязная игра.
