    I did smile and chuckle while watching this. The pegboard is such a great idea that it explains why Newmar has been putting them in their coaches for a couple years. They even have trays that will hold things like transmision, motor oil, and other thing. I added a couple drywall (monkey hooks) hangers but they have a lighter weight limit. I use clear plastic bins and stack them.

    I love the pegboard idea. I built 2 cabinets; one above the drivers door and installed pegboard for keys, sunglasses and in the bottom i plan to keep the registraion and insurance info. The second cabinet i built is above the main door to the rv, thats a great spot for keys, a flashlight, and am not sure what else ill use it for. I also am installing a light in that one to be able to light up my stairwell.

    • @todayissomeday
      @todayissomeday  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have only seen it in my RV but if you have a basement with a lip on the opening it should work. The lip allows the peg board to be inset inside the basement helping to hold it in place. Let me know if it works out for you. I would love to spread the word.

  • @bluefamily3937
    @bluefamily3937 ปีที่แล้ว

    I didn't quite understand how you got the peg board to stay....let me see...did you make a tri -fold peg board with the side boards held together with L brackets, all together the size of your storage space and 1x1 blocks on the back of the main board?....was that a correct understanding?

  • @ericdee6802
    @ericdee6802 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Personally I feel that RV manufacturers should step away from the computer and step into reality regarding the engineering of some of those vehicles. What may look good and get the job done on the drawing board, doesn't mean it will be usable or practical to the consumer. Great idea you have to say the least Stacy, maybe you should submit your idea to TIFFIN so they can offer similar prefabricated organizers to it's customers to fill in these voids???. 🤔

    Great idea!!! I’m still a little confused how you get the board to stay in place without attaching to RV. You used an L bracket to make a three piece set one on the back and the other two coming off the sides for the legs? If that is the case the 3 pieces must be a snug fit. Is that correct or am I missing something. I have a perfect little space that needs this set up. Thanks for being so creative.

    • @todayissomeday
      @todayissomeday  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The two side pieces are tucked back into the opening and lip of the compartment holds them in place. After screwing the three pieces together with L brackets it prevents the back from falling forward. If you would like more pics of the side I can send them to you.
