Damn was this a great video! You probably hear this on a daily basis but I absolutely love your channel. Stands out so much from other Film related channels. Keep up the great work!
The part about the action is accurate like infinity war is a war fights and explosions but endgame is no war but the spoils of that war wich is why it's not as action packed
When Infinity War was out for awhile I heard a lot of people craped on it. Now there craping on this one. Give it up guys. Just watch the fucking movie.
Thanos in Infinity war has mor deepth. Infinity war is more structured, while endgame made a interesting move, and It must be right finished. Endgame had a harder Job. Anyway, the First 2 hours were interesting, but not worthy, for a Final part of a saga. But the last hour was that what I wanted to See in Infinity war. Anyway, I missed so much Team ups, in the final Battle in Endgame. I give Infinity war 9,5 and Engame 9,0.
I think that's why Infinty war and the dark knight are so loved and praised... people are and have gotten too used to seen superhero movies that a villain movie is a breath of fresh air
Nathan Thomas Yea ur right. That’s why originally when the movies were announced at like comicon or something it was announced as “Avengers Infinity War Part 1 and 2”
Making Thor buff at the end would have been too easy. It would be better for us and more rewarding to see him work through it. My hope is that we'll get this in Guardians 3.
I feel both movies are good in their own way. Infinity War was a movie more based on the action while Endgame was a movie more based on the story and concluding the current MCU we know.
@@OrthoHoppean sure, but the story was made for REAL fans who have been watching the movies since the beginning and serves as more of a satisfying conclusion with lots of fan service that actually do make sense. People who don't get that are just people who don't really care about the characters or haven't seen enough of the movies to actually care. As a fan all the way from the beginning, I still think Infinity War is better in terms of story, but Endgame still has a very good plot and was made for the fans.
OMG I'm with you.... Alan Sylvestri's score for this film is just soul crushingly emotional... just a great score for an epic tale. I hope he gets an Oscar nomination out of this!!
It’s the opposite for me I prefer infinity war in almost every way tbh it has a fight scene similar to the final fight in endgame but on a smaller scale but we see each character show powers for longer instead of just a few second is of each hero and in infinity war we also have a really cool fight between thanos and the hero’s my sort of fight is strange vs thanks or Ironman vs thanos we didn’t get a good enough fight between Thor and thanos on endgame like we should’ve
I know what you mean. Even in the middle east. Advanced booking in tickets were sold out and Opening weekend was packed. My husband and I were lucky to get tickets for the second day at 11 pm and even then it was a freaking fullhouse.
Stark's glove was fine. It wasn't as good as Etri's because it could only do one thing - snap. If you notice Stark's glove was incapable of controlling the stones. Etri's could access each stone, multiple stones, or all stones. Stark's simply went into snap mode once you put it on. So it was inferior.
They couldn’t use the stones because they didn’t close there fist, which is why Thanos took out the power stone to punch captain marvel, she was holding open his fist. And the avengers never used the stones because they never bothered to close their fist as the goal was to snap and bring everyone back.
I prefer Endgame as well. You didn't have Captain America wielding Mjolnir in Infinity war, or the entire MCU rallying behind Cap. A time travel movie is pretty cool. Seeing those old movies in a different perspective. I liked it better than Infinity War.
Exactly; all we have to do is see a side by side comparison of Thanos with the his gauntlet becoming full powered in IW, and then him wielding the Stark gauntlet in Endgame. It's annoying how bad some people's memories are.
Thanos wanting to kill all life just feels very generic. His reasoning for wanting to kill half of life has a lot more depth to it since he is wanting to help the other half thrive even though it’s a horrible act but there is some sort of logic. Killing all life just makes him a boring villain
I prefer Endgame. But I think of them as 1 PERFECT movie. Not two perfect moves. I said perfect because these are truly the perfect movies for me in their entirety.
The Jurassic Avenger I you watch it back to back, it feels like watching one big movie. I think marvel should do a rerelease with both films some time down the line
@@t.m.83 - It wouldn't work because both movies are so different in tone. It would be so jarring to watch them back to back. Plus Endgame would not have the impact its supposed to.
My only problem with endgame is this. Act 3 was incredible, the other 2 fell a bit flat. Act 1 was decent and what we expected with them going after thanos and then setting up time travel. Act 3 was incredible, albeit i wasnt happy with a few conclusions. But act 2... That single handedly dropped the ball for me. Having what felt like the majority of the movie being time travel and only really carried through comedy was very lackluster in its presentation. Just my opinion though.
For the snapped avengers and everyone they went right from the end of Infinity War to the end of Endgame, so for them it was nonstop action. Imagine the movie from their perspective, when they all got sent to fight Thanos Army.
Thank you so much for your patience guys! If you guys liked the video please do give it a thumbs up as it REALLY does help getting my videos noticed by TH-cam's algorithm and it will help my channel grow and have more viewers watch my versus videos. Thanks again for your patience guys. It NEVER goes unnoticed. Take Care
In my opinion, Endgame is superior in this case. However, both this and Infinity War are easily the best marvel movies and my favorite movies of all time.
I do. And I mentioned them in my Infinity War VS Civil War video. I mentioned some of them in this video but if you want an in-depth description as to what my problems were with Infinity War, then I would recommend checking that video out. Thanks for watching buddy!
@@flamingknight1356 y would u say that i fuckin hate the dceu besides ww,aquaman and shazam but yeah i have to admit The Dark Knight is my favorite movie of all time but personally i would rather take infinity wars last 30 mins then any other marvel i love the ending at the funeral but besidea that it was all right for me i dont know but that fight was only cool cause of tonys snap and the girl power thing was fuckin horrible and im mad that captain marvel is replacing black widow idk man i was just underwhelmed by endgame
Xxgod slayerxX im not gonna lie.. classic 6 avengers fighting aliens was better juste because there 100000avengers fighting doesnt mean its better didnt even have time to see each one of them so the last hour of the classic avengers is da best imo
Big Smoke but it isn’t just the funeral and girl power it is when the people come though the portals and cap saying avengers assemble and everyone just rushes to battle and watch your language
The best way I’ve come to compare these two films is... infinity war is a superior film but endgame is a more emotional and satisfying payoff to years of watching the MCU. The films were trying to accomplish different things and they both succeeded in their own way
Virtual Boy That’s the best way to put it. Infinity War is the better film, but Endgame is the epic conclusion of the Infinity Saga. Similar to The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, ones the better movie, the other is the epic conclusion
@Avais Butt Endgame was a messy film. It was rushed, poorly written and badly executed. Both movies were released in April 2018 and April 2019, respectively, which is only a one year difference. And it shows! Endgame had so many problems: - The writers didn't know how to deal with the Thanos-Gauntlet problem so they took a shortcut and just killed Thanos and 'destroyed' the stones. - The heroes had to look forward in time (Dr. Strange at end of IW), travel backwards in time, and make the same superweapon as the villain to 'win'. Thanos had no plausible chance to win. - The multiverse time travel was contrived and poorly executed. Plus, the time heist had no stakes, drama or tension. - The characters were all mauled by bad writing. - The comedy was cranked up to be an SNL parody of the MCU. - The main plot and structure of Endgame was a copy-and-paste of Infinity War. That's awful! - There was a ton of cheap, unearned fan service. - The 'battle' was just a lame game of keep-away with 5 second hero roll calls. - None of the heroes defeat Thanos in combat (besides Scarlet Witch). They had to wish upon a gauntlet twice to 'win'. - The tone of this movie oscillated from depressed, to sad, to campy humor like it was bipolar. - The movie had major pacing issues because each of the three acts felt like separate episodes instead of one cohesive story. - The endings were disingenuous (for example, Captain America was a Cosmic Deserter). - The action of the final battle was just mindless mayhem and didn't do anything to advance the narrative. - There were many plot holes and Martha wtf moments. Marvel (Feige, the Russos, Markus, McFeely and friends) laid a goose egg and deserve no gratitude for this half-baked movie. Infinity War had much better craftsmanship.
@Avais Butt They got their praise for Infinity War. Endgame had huge problems. People can objectively criticize them for their mistakes. We deserved better after 21 movies over 11 years.
@@rainstrmds Ok buckle up "-The writers didn't know how to deal with the Thanos-Gauntlet problem so they took a shortcut and just killed Thanos and 'destroyed' the stones" What? that was a perfect way to get rid of the problem? Thanos was afraid someone would come looking to undo the snap so he destroyed them weakening him and leaving the Avengers with NO hope. "The heroes had to look forward in time (Dr. Strange at end of IW), travel backwards in time, and make the same superweapon as the villain to 'win'. Thanos had no plausible chance to win" No he did not, hows that a negative? They made sure to keep it away from him and were caught by ignorance of Nebula. "The multiverse time travel was contrived and poorly executed. Plus, the time heist had no stakes, drama or tension." How so? I thought it was a thrilling ride which brought us through memory lane which you may bitch was "undeserved" although I and many other fans found it as an homage to this historical series. I also found it pretty nerve racking when Thanos found out about the plan and Black widow died. " The characters were all mauled by bad writing." Yea and so was Darth Vader, Ripley and Marty Mcfly. How? I dont need a reason all I have to do is say it and its true without any elaboration :) "The main plot and structure of Endgame was a copy-and-paste of Infinity War. That's awful!" Ive heard this, still makes ZERO sense as they are COMPLETELY different films, tone and story wise. "There was a ton of cheap, unearned fan service" I thought it was the ONLY film that deserved to give the fans what they've ALWAYS wanted. "The 'battle' was just a lame game of keep-away with 5 second hero roll calls" I'm assuming you mean the fight against thanos between the big three? Idk why you think that when it was 3v1 half the time until thanos put in a little effort and reminded us why hes the most powerful being in the universe. The fight lasted for like 15 minutes.... "None of the heroes defeat Thanos in combat (besides Scarlet Witch). They had to wish upon a gauntlet twice to 'win'" Yea that was kind of the point? Thanos is truly unstoppable and they had a single chance to succeed yet Cap still gave 100% even when he would lose. "The tone of this movie oscillated from depressed, to sad, to campy humor like it was bipolar" Was there a single joke in the first hour? It was split into 3 acts showcasing their failure, their hope and eventual succession. Humor is very subjective and i thought 95% landed. Except for maybe hulk dabbing lmao "The movie had major pacing issues because each of the three acts felt like separate episodes instead of one cohesive story" I guess you could argue the second act was slow but that was because it was more of a drama with characters dealing with trauma than your average run-of-the-mill superhero flick. "he endings were disingenuous (for example, Captain America was a Cosmic Deserter)" What the fuck is a cosmic deserter? Cap got the ending he never though he could have and accepted he would never have. Tony, being afraid to die and failing to save the world, dies saving the world. "The action of the final battle was just mindless mayhem and didn't do anything to advance the narrative" Yea.... theirs 50 characters and they can each only get so much spotlight yet they mostly all managed to get some kind of showcase. Narrative? It was focused entirely on the gauntlet and who would get it. "There were many plot holes and Martha wtf moments" Again, it happened, but i wont elaborate on how. GREAT argument!
@@idonthaveone7576 Look at the 'winning' strategy of Endgame: - The writers had to 'destroy' the stones and execute a crippled, feeble villain to eliminate the Thanos-Gauntlet threat that they had created. The writers didn't know how to beat Super-Thanos so they just killed the supervillain with their pen. - Captain Marvel had to save Tony from certain death in space (so he could later invent the chrono GPS). - Dr. Strange has to look into the future to find the winning outcome. - A rat had to infiltrate a van and operate the machine controls to free Scott from the quantum realm. - The heroes had to invent time travel and retrieve infinity stones to make a second guantlet, which they did pretty easily without challenge almost effortlessly. - Then the used the same superweapon as the villain to restore the vanished pretty easily. Hulk just got a busted arm. - Dr. Strange, knowing the future, brings an army of sorcerers and Wakandans with him via giant portals. - The heroes needed the miraculous help of Captain Marvel to save all the heroes from Sanctuary II bombardment (where no one died) and then save all life from a second snap. - Lastly, Tony and his swiss army nano-suit had to use his vacuum hands to swipe the stones and turn himself into a _third_ gauntlet to defeat the supervillain. At the same time, the writers turned Thanos into a beastly juggernaut who chewed up the Avengers like a Rottweiler with a pair of loafers. Questions: The delta between the strong supervillain and the winning strategy (insane luck, major technological innovations, powerful new recruit, etc.) is huge. Do you think the writers told a good story? Did Thanos have a believable chance of winning? Or did the heroes have overwhelming plot armor on their side? The whole film was character driven. Did the characters really save the day or was it _super plot convenience?_
@@idonthaveone7576 There was no time heist adventure with any real stakes. Since they used multi-verse time travel, there was no drama, there was no risk, there was no tension. They made so many unpunished mistakes. They scewed up and made so many alternate timelines (like when 2023 Cap told 2012 Cap about Bucky and Loki gets away with the tesseract). The heroes could've gone into New York, Asgard and Morag with guns blazing red hot, messed everything up and there would ne no consequences for the 2023 universe and its timeline. It's not their past. When they ran out of Pym particles (oopsies!) they just time jumped to steal a handful from Hank. The heroes waltzed through that 'time heist' second act. They went grocery shopping for stones with absolutely no time travel related consequences for the story. Somebody had to die for the Soul Stone (a soul for a soul). There was no risk, it was a certain, unavoidable fact. _Yawn._ *Captain America:* You know your teams, you know your missions. No mistakes, no do-overs. Look out for each other - this is the fight of our lives. [The Avengers screw up their missions, make time heist snafus, need a do-over, and don't look out for one another] The Russos used the Oprah particle to screw with time. *Russos:* You get a _new_ timeline! _YOU_ get a new timeline. And you get a new _timeline!_ TIME TRAVEL... It's either all a joke, or it isn't. It's a _jOkE!!!_ I wish I could just use a Pym particle to time travel back to 2012 and warn myself about how stupid Endgame was going to be. 😂
Marko Srbinovski nah, they’re both part of the overall infinity saga but they feel like different movies. They don’t feel the same way the deathly hallows did. Infinity war had its own plot and endgame had its own plot.
Endgame is better for me IMO. It feels like the perfect tribute and the perfect film before we say goodbye to our favourite OG characters. Edit: My opinion changed lol. I think Infinity War is better.
In defense of the Stark gauntlet: It's made of self healing nanotech (by that I mean that extra nanotech will replace destroyed ones) thus slowing down damage to the armor and stark.
Also one thing I noticed is that the OG gauntlet could handle power of the stones easily and each stone could be used one by one whereas the stark gauntlet couldn't and was made purposely for using all the stones at once and snap also when someone used the stark gauntlet they were damaged really badly just by wearing it.
@@GP_1834 There's nothing to indicate that the stones couldn't be used individually in stark's gauntlet. They just had one purpose for using it. Hulk only showed visible damage after he performed the snap, and the same happened to thanos when he used the original gauntlet. Hulk was feeling the power of the stones surge thru him when he first put it on, the same as everyone else that came into physical contact with one. Ronan, Quill, rest of GoG, the collector's slave, and Thanos all had the same energy surge thru them. The difference was in each individual's strength and endurance. Thanos being the strongest and most durable showed that it didn't effect him as much as the rest. Ronan is without question very strong and durable, but he had to quickly mount the power stone on his weapon before it consumed him. Quill survived by being half celestial and by his group helping spread the load of the power stone. Thanos wasn't trying to use an individual stone when he put on the stark gauntlet. He made it very clear that he was going to just destroy the entire universe and create a whole new one. When he was fighting with captain marvel, he almost snapped, but she stopped him before he could. It was because she was preventing him from being able to close his hand or snap that he had to use his other hand to use the power stone against her. It wasn't that the gauntlet was incapable, she was holding and controlling that hand so he couldn't.
@@brussell639 he means that the gauntlet made from uru that thanos used in infinity war was able to handle the power much better than starks gauntlet thanos couldn't handle the power either.
Mr_CraftyGamer MCG also, it’s infused with the power of “badassium,” which contains the same power signature as one of the infinity stones (I forget which one.) This was explained to me in a video essay about stark, and his importance to the MCU... and I think it makes sense.
Also, I don't think it's wielding the stones that needs the infinity gauntlet, rather, I think it might be using them that's the problem, stark's gauntlet was made to be a one time thing. And to be fair, we don't see anyone use it after hulk snapped, meaning it might not have worked for a second time, while the infinity gauntlet could use them many times, even being able to use them all twice.
I feel like Infinity War is amazing at balancing all of these characters and not having anyone overstay their welcome, which is a feat in itself. And with Endgame it's so emotional, and its amazing. I cried like 3 times lol. But the focus is less on balancing characters and more on emotion and creating great moments and sendoffs for characters that we have had for 10 years.
I disagree I felt like endgame had a better balance and every character felt like they actually had a purpose there unlike infinity war where they wanted to get as many people on screen as possible
I agree that seeing Endgame a second time made it better than the first time. ALTHOUGH, the best part of watching it the first time, on opening night, the crowd cheering at every amazing moment in the movie is something that I will never forget. That cheer after the Avengers Assemble is probably my favorite cinema moment ever!
i agree with everything other than your 1st section. In my opinion the comedy had great timing and had great time travel where the logic was one of the most logical in fiction.
Some specifics. You accept that Thor can stand in front of a Neutron Star and forge magical Armor, or that giant dwarves can make an Infinity Gauntlet. But you *don’t* accept that Iron Man whose super-power is his genius, can make an Infinity Gauntlet? Whether you know it or not - you are expressing a preference for super-powers rooted in magic over those rooted in science.
Thanos had to force the Dwarf(can't remember the name) to make his gauntlet, but Tony just used metal, that probably wasn't even vibrainium. That's why I have a problem with it Edit: oh and what's wrong with preferring magic over science in *movies* Edit 2: iron man doesn't have superpowers
“What’s wrong with preferring magic over science.” ^ It’s interesting that you find magic believable and not science. “Iron Man does not have superpowers” ^ You are wrong. You only think that because you ‘believe in magic’ and not science. Stark’s intellect is off the charts of what is normally possible. It constitutes a superpower just as much as Hulk’s superhuman strength. Iron Man’s super human intellect was key to defeating Thanos. Ironically Dr. Strange - the ‘magician’ knew that, even if you don’t get it. PS_ I doubt you know what a neutron star is or can explain even for giggles why Iron Man would need one - when he can create almost any conviction of physics in his lab.
@@summertyme5748 You hit the Uru nail on the head, buddy. Tony Stark is the _intellectual Gary Stu_ of the MCU and Endgame. Need a method navigate the quantum fluctuations of time travel? No problem. After breakfast. Let me just stare at a Mobius strip, namedrop a fictitious Deutsch Proposition, ask F.R.I.D.A.Y to calculate some eigen values, and, _Voila,_ Time Travel. Need a gauntlet to harness the power of six singularities that existed before the Big Bang that only an ancient and advanced race of Nidavellirian giant dwarves could construct? Sure thing, I'll do it right after I watch My Little Pony with Morgan. How hard can it be? @Snehil Shrey hey I'm not those people ! You can talk trash about her and I'll give you a thumbs ! I'm just that I'll ruin endgame for myself if I hate her for just being in the movie. I just had the expectation that the directors would make her better like what they did with Black Widow. But I was wrong. She was only in the movie for 15 minutes and still hate her.
@Snehil Shrey what the hell have you been inhaling?! What idiot comes up with that conclusion?! BTW, Spider-Man will be the new face of MCU, he sells more than captain flat ass
gerizzyYMcrew yeah and endgame was still levels of trash below it... it’s like endgame was written by children it was boring, stupid, and plot hole galore! ... they killed off thanos from infinity war witch takes away everything from that movie with that character, that whole back and forth banter with Ironman means nothing now ! Ironman: you know me? Infinity war Thanos : I do, your not the only one cursed with knowledge Endgame thanos: tony who ? I mean all of the avengers revenge against thanos means nothing in endgame because he didn’t even do nothing to them I kno they have to stop him before he does but shit it’s just a regular bad guy now ... the movie was boring, they completely ruined my favorite the hulk, ruined thor, made no sense with the time travel, the movie was boring, a fucking rat saved everyone ....a rat ... a rat just randomly steps in the right buttons smh that’s great writing right there huh ... the movie was sooo boring for 2 hours didn’t do shit and by the time the end battle happened and Ironmans death it didn’t mean shit my face was just blank because everything before that meant nothing to me the movie was a regular ass generic movie when I was expected something more then a movie like infinity war was .. but nope just a slow boring ass regular movie, that whole big mash up fight at the end was just the same shit we seen over and over and over again in movies and games nothing new there .. what they should of done was have thanos vs the avengers alone with the stones or at least with just the black order we didn’t need a whole army where you don’t know what the hell is going on and it’s just a big cgi mash up. Have thanos with some stones vs the avengers with some other stones that would of been a lot better ...something like the fight on titan .. which was better then endgame as a whole ....so many stupid decisions and ruining of characters .... cm was useless the movie was boring.. you telling me nobody died except gamora, vision and black widow ? Really ? And then everyone survived the big attack from thanos ship ? Smh and even with those deaths they couldn’t use the time stone to get then back ? What ever ... they also invented immortality in the movie so basically anyone can go in that time machine if they hurt or old they can be revived back to their most strongest and most prime time in their life ... and the movie was sooooo boring....man when I bought the infinity saga I threw endgame in the trash where it belongs , the Russo’s and marvel fucked up on this one 🤬🤬🤬
The more you think about it, Infinity War is like Empire Strikes Back (The Best Middle Chapter (AoU shouldn't count)) and Endgame is like Return of the King (the best Ending Chapter). That's like debating over food and water!
I have no taste but I think Infinity War > Endgame But still,Endgame was absolutely epic and an event I didn’t know I had been waiting for my entire life
Best line from Iron Man my fav were Obadiah Stane: Tony Stark build this in a cave with box of scraps!! Engineer: But im not Tony Stark.. That never gets old 😂
I love both movies on different levels. Both made me shed tears but in the end Endgame is my favorite. Great closure for our beloved characters, the last hour was phenomenal. The portal scene, Cap wielding Mjolnir, Cap saying "Avengers Assemble, the epic battle and Tony's death were all emtional epic moments.
Infinity War, in my opinion, is way better with the music. The ending of the film demonstrates exactly what Thanos promised himself. And "Porch" playing while he rests is absolutely beautiful.
CoDy [4] I like the action in Endgame just as I like the action in Infinity War. The action in Infinity War was great, but let’s be honest, the formula is always the same. For example: Doctor Strange gives a good fight to Thanos and then Thanos just uses a stone and defeats him. I agree that the action sequences were exciting, very well visualized, and that the action scenes were great, but it’s for me not enough to be better than the Endgame action. But I don’t think that Endgame Action is better either. Both are great, but certainly not the best action movies in the MCU. This point goes to Winter Soldier.
Red Hood I respect your opinion on the matter, but End game’s final battle means so much more than Winter Soldier. I guess it depends if you like large battles or duels between two people more.
Paintedidab Yes it means more, and has a lot Fan Service (that’s a great thing), but I was talking about the choreographies. I think in terms of that, Winter Soldier is superior. And the fights in Winter Soldier also has meaning. But yeah, it’s like you said. It depends on which you prefer more. I think we can at least all agree that in terms of action, the Russo brothers are the best in the MCU.
Red Hood Winter Soldier has solid choreography, but unfortunately a lot of it was ruined by the shaky cam. I could barely tell what was happening in most fights. Endgame did not have that problem.
Endgame was a great ending but infinity war was more exciting and kept you on the edge of your seat. The action scenes were also a lot better in Infinity war and the Jokes didn’t seem as forced as they were in endgame. So in my opinion Infinity War > Endgame
@@joelmiller2601 endgame was not predictable except for the fact that thanos would lose and everyone that got snapped would come back. You couldn't have predicted cap would fight himself, thanos would die in the first 30 minutes, 2014 thanos would fight the avengers, cap would lift thor's hammer, cap would go back to the 1940s, a rat would get antman out of the quamtam realm, the avengers would go back to 2012, and that loki would get a new scene.
noob saibot I promise you that I predicted: We would see Hawkeye’s family dusted and he would be Ronin. I knew there would be time travel via the quantum realm I also predicted Cap WOULD actually wield Thor’s hammer. (I thought it was obvious) As we got closer to the movie and I heard about the marketing strategies I knew that Thanos would probably be defeated at the beginning. A lot of people put that together. I predicted Iron Man would die I just didn’t know he would snap. I also guessed that someone would die retrieving the soul stone but I thought it would be Cap or Clint Professor Hulk was a no brainer everyone knew that would happen The only thing that I never expected was Fortnite and fat Thor in a avengers movie which was the stupidest thing ever. I still really enjoyed the movie, but I know the Russo’s. They said that this was a perfect fan movie and that means many fan service moments. Infinity War I only predicted Loki’s death and the Snap
Kaena Choo ye bc Infinity War was all conflict and action. But the final fight scene in endgame is better than any scene in infinity war. They are different movies telling different stories in different ways. Of course you’ll like one more bc of a certain things
You do know that they will make a new avengers trilogy Dark Avengers Young Avengers New avengers So it's not the end but for now it is because we wont get a new avengers for 5 or 6 years
Personally I loved how Thor was fat for the whole film. It gave him a lot of humanity, and showed how he was damaged, but could still throw his own weight and fight. Also I don't really think that during the fight scene at the end Thor's weight wasn't really played as laughs. If anything it made him look more like a badass. Like an ancient classic Viking Look.
@@trevorphilips9065 how'd you mean? I thought this arc fit perfectly for Thor. In all his films he would act like he completely owns the situation and how he's the best ("Strongest Avenger"). And a part of his character had usually struck him. In Infinity war it was his arrogance and being blinded by Vengeance as he doesn't go for the head. And you really see the consequences of this in Endgame. He's emotionally crippled. A man who has lost so much. His family, his people, etc. Now his actions have resulted in half the universe dying. So to keep him fat throughout the whole film was a great choice to show that he really has taken on the impact of what he let happen. Like I said, it humanises him.
@@tuszkki9357 More like in Ragnarok it's clear he's not the God of Hammers and he has to be a king for his people why because he's the only one who can protect them Valkaryie was a drunk not sure why should she be king
Mateuszek Garapich 1) They made him fat for no reason except for jokes. If they took it away it would’ve been the same. They should’ve made him like Logan. Oh wait, that already exists and it’s called Old King Thor. They should’ve done that. They had the perfect set up. 2) They threw his development in the trash considering how Ragnarok (his best movie) was all about him learning to be a king and in Endgame he just gives that up to hang with the Guardians in space. It came out of nowhere and the only set up was in this movie itself. They weren’t building on what came before like they did in Infinity War.
@@yeahkeen2905 again to reiterate, it humanises him. Thor has always been overconfident and overly proud of himself, and at the end of Infinity War/Start of Endgame he was at his lowest point since idk maybe even since the first Thor when he was cast out. But of course he's too proud to admit his failure or show it so yes while it is done for humour, it also makes a damn lot of sense in the film.
Endgame improvements (in my opinion): •Thor loses the weight and has more of a redemption. •Hulk breaks through and goes full rage mode when he sees everyone drowning around him.
Thor loses weight - messes up character arc. Hulk goes full rage - messes up character arc. Glad you are not directing. What you want is that characters stay the same - movie where nothing happens, no change, growth or consequence. Just empty noise. I understand what you want. That’s exactly why most comic book movies are so bad, because they are made based upon your fan service needs.
If Thor loses his weight, it would be the opposite of a redemption. It would just show that he still doesn’t know what he actually wants. It would show that he still doesn’t know that he doesn’t have to be better than everyone else, to be special/worthy.
what does thor losing weight have to do with his redemption? i find it more redeeming that despite everything he went through he is still worthy. y’all just want to treat fat people like a joke
Achyuth Thouta That is about you prefering emotion. The reason it had more emotion was because it was the final. Infinity War was a build up. But as a movie Infinity War was finer and tighter put together. And again. The reply you gave me saying Endgame is proven better because Its score on RT was higher. RT is again paid by Disney. And Audience scores only say what is prefered. Not what is actually better
@@moonknight3526 no i like it because its better. Cap has a beard, thor is badass, thanos is is awesome in it, and when thor arrives in wakanda it still gives me chills
Endgame was garbage. To much talking blah blah blah time blah blah blah travel blah blah blah 20 minutes finals act punch and done.... wait still more blah blah blah at the end.
Objectivly Infinity war, but Endgane emotionaly and how its supposed to wrap up the 11 year movie universe really does good. 17:10 No no no no no no dont hit me with that score again.
@@chadhawley7050Its long, if you dont have time read later. Infinity war basicly had bigger cast that by any movie logic shouls not work but it did. They managed to make every single character do something. Villian is next to Joker level of greatness and is also the main character. Story wise its a bit simple but it works on so many levels. The movie is thrilling with action scenes with tou om the edge of your seat, its emotional when it needs to be. Hits everything right! On the other hand, Endgame (you can think a little and figure out some plot holes yourself) does have some tonal inconsistency. I get it, needs to have comedy but sometimes its just not the right place. I liked thor but he didnt redeemed himself in any way unlike other 5 OGs. I can see why people are mad that Thanos here is generic villian and that Cap being old in our timeline isnt possible. But i said, Endgame did what it suposed to do.
WoodKid “they managed to make every single charatcer do something” First of all, that isnt even true. Second of all, the 4 heroes with the most screen time (Gamora, Tony, Thor, Starlord) did nothing but fuck over everything or blow their opportunity to do something good. Gamora confronted Thanos DESPITE knowing he had at least 2 stones and she shouldnt be anywhere near him because she has the soul stone location. Tony he an oppotrunity to go back to earth and join forces with Cap and Vision, but instead he said “Nah, i’m going to bring the time stone to thanos despite knowing i’m going to get my ass kicked since he has at least two infinity stones right now”. Thor had the platinum opportuniy to kill Thanos and didnt do it because he wanted to talk, need i say more? Starlord has the golden opportunity to do literally nothing and wait for the others to pull of the gauntlet, and he screws all of this up. And thrilling action scenes? I mean, i guess IW has a lot of action, but that’s all it really has. And it doesnt even have the best action sequences in the MCU. Before Endgame came out, there are several MCU films with better action including Winter soldier, Civil War, Hulk, hell even AoU to some extent. EG’s last hour of action destroys all the action in IW hands down. And I wont even get into why Thanos being the “half good guy half bad guy” was a retarded idea. And it makes perfect sense for Cap to be back in the mcu-prime timeline, all he needed to do was secure more Pym particles in his little time hopping adventure, and now he can go when/where ever he wants.
Chad Hawley, 1.Thor didn't go for the head because he wanted to torture Thanos to death like Thanos did to Loki. He let his vengeance take over. 2.Thanos has been haunting Tony for six years, Tony wants revenge. 3.Starlord is a person who reacts very violently to emotional situations, remember in Guardians 2 where he immediately shot Ego many times after he found that Ego killed his mom. An now he just found out that the love of his life is dead and the person responsible is right in front of him, of course he's gonna get upset. 4.The battle on titan is top tier MCU action
Thank you Dixon. And if i can point out Thanos being good.. HE IS NOT! HES PURE EVIL. Its just that he believes in his motivations and reasons you cant not to understand why hes doing even if were all against him.
Story: Infinity War (The story is fairly straight foward, but nearly perfect. There are no plot holes. There is a tragic ending and great development for Thanos. It was VERY ambitious) Heroes: Endgame (Infinity War was more of a Thanos movie than an Avengers movie. However, Endgame focused on the greif of the remaining heroes and their plan. Even though I didn’t like what this film did to Thor and Hulk (even if Hulk is better here than in Infinity War)) Action: Infinity War (They are both fantastic. The final act of Endgame is better than anything in Infinity War, but Infinity War had more action and thus better action imo. The 3rd act of Endgame is still better than Infinity War as a whole lol) Music: Endgame (The Portals scene had me crying, mainly due to how amazing the music was) Villain: Infinity War (Ik they’re the same character, but they are different. Endgame Thanos has little to no depth imo. He’s just an obstacle for the heroes to take down. That’s because it didn’t need to flesh out Thanos bc Infinity War was all about him) Rewatchability: Infinity War (I LOVE Endgame, but I watch Infinity War way more. It’s simply because it’s a lot shorter and straight up nonstop!)
Its been 6 years and the music from Infinity War/Endgame by Alan Sylvestri are still some of the most emotion inducing music of a soundtrack ive ever heard other than Interstellar
I liked Endgame way more. More great moments, better uses of the characters, I liked what they did with Thanos and Old/New Thanos, Nebula was amazing, Avengers Assemble, & Fan Service.
Master Boss I personally hated how they’ve treated Hulk across the whole series. But I loved what they did with Thor. The guy who made this video said that he didn’t feel the crying scenes with Thor but the scene when Hulk and rocket go to visit him and the way he reacted when Thanos was mentioned actually really was the first time in the MCU that I personally felt the pain of any of the characters. Also When Scott saw his daughter, When Black widow was asking war machine to find Clint, and When she found Clint all resonated with me more than any other emotional scene ever in the MCU
T. Stamp yeah that scene was good. But it would’ve been better if it wasn’t preceded by and followed by a joke about how fat Thor is. And that’s really the point. Honestly I think it would’ve been better if they had done their version of Old King Thor. They had the perfect set up too.
Snehil Shrey I don’t really care about that. Hulk not being in a fight is I guess an issue but to me, not more important than what I said. They made hulk his own character in Ragnarok and played with the Frankenstein trope and turned it on its head (which, funnily enough, made it more like the actual message of Frankenstein) where Bruce was the monster keeping Hulk suppressed and stopping him from living his life. The scene where Hulk and Thor talk about Earth hating him seemed to be paying off in Infinity War where Hulk didn’t want to come out. I was excited to see what they’d do with that in Endgame but they have them resolve their issues off screen in a time skip and now the Hulk just lets himself be closed off forever but Bruce can use his body. That doesn’t make sense to me?
Master Boss Thor’s fatness isn’t meant to be a joke, it shows how he dealt with his guilt and depression and she was that he is more human and emotional than he actually is. And yeah, they were definitely going to utilize this to be funny. It didn’t ruin his character tho, I personally think it made him more like able and relatable.
Great video! Absolutely loved Endgame. Saw the first screening and thought it was the perfect sendoff to the original team. Very interested to see where they go next. I'm hoping that the next big villains will be Doctor Doom, Norman Osborn and Galactus.
I think the fight in endgame was better simply because almost every frames in the climactic fight was perfect.like the iconic trio, captain standing alone against an entire army, falcon saying 'on your left'(also a commemoration of the scene in winter soldier),everyone appears through portals,Peter saying kill mode, pepper's and tony's duo, captain america holding the mjolnir, thor and captain exchanging weopons, dr strange showing one as a sign that it was the only way to succeed and finally ironman's ultimate sacrifice. Also,it held a bigger emotional baggage than infinity war.
@@thelegacyofgaming2928 Yeah as a character he is so young and innocent, meeting an unfortunate death by a coin flip. Stark on the other hand is the hero that literally started the Marvel empire.
Both of these movies were so amazing, but I think I enjoyed Infinity War more than Endgame. It was much more consistent and fun, and I could not predict the ending at all. The surprise still gets me every time I watch it.
The time travel concept in Endgame isn`t new or convenient. It shows that you don`t watch anime let alone dragon ball Z or know about the time travel theorie of John Titor or watched the anime based on that, Steins Gate.
Endgame is a great movie but it didn’t quite knock it out of the park. I felt it could have been better if they weren’t so lazy with the story such as the rat. And weren’t relying so much on the fan service. So I feel overall infinity war is better.
Infinity war took everyone of guard, no one expected thanos to win. Whereas endgame was a little more predictable as we knew the heroes would win, it was just a matter of how. I can't decide what's better, both are Phenomenonal.

The Infinity Wars was a masterpiece. It is the 2nd best superhero movie of all time behind The Dark Knight. Both were great movies because both had awesome villains in Ledger and Brolin.
Another very analytic and well-written video. It's truly sad that Endgame is really the end of an era. Great job to your video! Keep up the greaaat work!
I think Infinity War is the far superior film, too many flaws stood out in Endgame watching it. Also the damage from the infinity gauntlet happens after the snap in infinity war, but in Endgame it happens as soon as you put on the gauntlet. Doesn’t make much sense.
FINN WALLACE the damage happened to them because they weren’t as strong as thanos. When you see past thanks out on the gauntlet in endgame he isn’t damaged but that’s because he’s an enteral while tony and hulk are only human. That’s why they were damaged.
Damn was this a great video! You probably hear this on a daily basis but I absolutely love your channel. Stands out so much from other Film related channels. Keep up the great work!

Infinity war for sure the better movie, but for me endgame edges it out simply because it’s the original 6 back together again.
Similar to The Dark Knight and The Dark Knight Rises, ones the better movie, the other is the epic conclusion

still debatable especcialy when endgame has the better plot and character arcs
This video made me appreciate the hard work that the Russo Brothers did in Infinity war and in Endgame.
@Avais Butt Endgame was a messy film. It was rushed, poorly written and badly executed. Both movies were released in April 2018 and April 2019, respectively, which is only a one year difference. And it shows! Endgame had so many problems:
- The writers didn't know how to deal with the Thanos-Gauntlet problem so they took a shortcut and just killed Thanos and 'destroyed' the stones.
@@rainstrmds Ok buckle up
"-The writers didn't know how to deal with the Thanos-Gauntlet problem so they took a shortcut and just killed Thanos and 'destroyed' the stones" What? that was a perfect way to get rid of the problem?
How? I dont need a reason all I have to do is say it and its true without any elaboration :)
"The main plot and structure of Endgame was a copy-and-paste of Infinity War.
Except for maybe hulk dabbing lmao
"The movie had major pacing issues because each of the three acts felt like separate episodes instead of one cohesive story" I guess you could argue the second act was slow but that was because it was more of a drama with characters dealing with trauma than your average run-of-the-mill superhero flick.
@@idonthaveone7576 Look at the 'winning' strategy of Endgame:
- The writers had to 'destroy' the stones and execute a crippled, feeble villain to eliminate the Thanos-Gauntlet threat that they had created.
Final battle in Endgame sucks
James said no one ever.
@@emiliorodriguez8104 how tf can you enjoy the final battle. The scene with the portals is great, but the actual giant war scene is really meh
@@GP_1834
There's nothing to indicate that the stones couldn't be used individually in stark's gauntlet.
Mr_CraftyGamer MCG also, it’s infused with the power of “badassium,” which contains the same power signature as one of the infinity stones (I forget which one.)
This was explained to me in a video essay about stark, and his importance to the MCU... and I think it makes sense.

That's why I have a problem with it
Edit: oh and what's wrong with preferring magic over science in *movies*
Edit 2: iron man doesn't have superpowers
“What’s wrong with preferring magic over science.”
^ It’s interesting that you find magic believable and not science.
“Iron Man does not have superpowers”
^ You are wrong.

I like endgame better as a movie. I see it as our hero’s journey. But Infinity war has better action.
CoDy [4] I have 100% opposite opinion 😂😂😂
Endgame was a great ending but infinity war was more exciting and kept you on the edge of your seat. The action scenes were also a lot better in Infinity war and the Jokes didn’t seem as forced as they were in endgame. So in my opinion Infinity War > Endgame

Yes and let's throw all his arcs out the window too
@@trevorphilips9065 how'd you mean?

1) They made him fat for no reason except for jokes.
Agreed, all characters had their most badass forms in Infinity War. Peak Avengers vs Peak Thanos.

•Thor loses the weight and has more of a redemption.
•Hulk breaks through and goes full rage mode when he sees everyone drowning around him.
Mr.Wuffykins that breaks from all realism, imagine if thors depression had no consequence after all?
Summer Tyme Hulk going rage messes up his chracter arc? Breh ur not a fan, stop acting like it

Objectively? Based on what
@@chadhawley7050Its long, if you dont have time read later.
WoodKid “they managed to make every single charatcer do something”
First of all, that isnt even true.
Chad Hawley,
1.Thor didn't go for the head because he wanted to torture Thanos to death like Thanos did to Loki.
It was VERY ambitious)
Heroes: Endgame (Infinity War was more of a Thanos movie than an Avengers movie. However, Endgame focused on the greif of the remaining heroes and their plan. Even though I didn’t like what this film did to Thor and Hulk (even if Hulk is better here than in Infinity War))
Action: Infinity War (They are both fantastic. The final act of Endgame is better than anything in Infinity War, but Infinity War had more action and thus better action imo. The 3rd act of Endgame is still better than Infinity War as a whole lol)
Music: Endgame (The Portals scene had me crying, mainly due to how amazing the music was)
Villain: Infinity War (Ik they’re the same character, but they are different. Endgame Thanos has little to no depth imo. He’s just an obstacle for the heroes to take down. That’s because it didn’t need to flesh out Thanos bc Infinity War was all about him)
Rewatchability: Infinity War (I LOVE Endgame, but I watch Infinity War way more. It’s simply because it’s a lot shorter and straight up nonstop!)
Nebula is my new favourite character in the mcu
All thanks to the legendary Russo Brothers :)
lol.
T. Stamp how did Endgame use Thor and Hulk better than Infinity War? It took all of their development and threw it away for a joke.
The music throughout this entire video was perfect
I loved AVENGERS 1,3&4 , 2 was alright I guess
THE CARNAGE KILLER CLETUS KASSIDY avengers 1 was terrible, 2 and 3 and 4 were good
@Daddy Max too bad people can't have their own opinion 😭😭😭😭
AgénT He did say that “it set up the rest of the franchise”
Btw: Anyone who thinks Avengers was terrible clearly didn’t understand it.
if you're in for the action, then 2 Avengers 2,3 and 4 is for you but Avengers 1 is a story based movie
to me avengers 2 is crap
4:27 the music in the back ground got me thinking of cap lifting Mjolnir 😂
Tbh, I'd watch Endgame over Infinity War any day
I've seen Infinity War at least 20 - 50 times now. I know I'm going to do the same with Endgame.
Doug Cannon how
God Tony Stark's death in endgame had me fighting back tears hard and I'm struggling to hold back tears now just thinking about it :'(
Idk why but that didn't make me as sad as Peter Parkers death in IW, even though I knew he'd come back.
@@thelegacyofgaming2928 Yeah as a character he is so young and innocent, meeting an unfortunate death by a coin flip. Stark on the other hand is the hero that literally started the Marvel empire.
I was like this when Ironman was dying 😑.. by that time of the movie I was so disappointed
I didn’t cry at all because I saw it coming a mile away
Both of these movies were so amazing, but I think I enjoyed Infinity War more than Endgame. It was much more consistent and fun, and I could not predict the ending at all. The surprise still gets me every time I watch it.
The time travel concept in Endgame isn`t new or convenient. It shows that you don`t watch anime let alone dragon ball Z or know about the time travel theorie of John Titor or watched the anime based on that, Steins Gate.
Adrien 👏
I love avengers EndGame but infinity war will always be my favorite
Endgame is a great movie but it didn’t quite knock it out of the park. I felt it could have been better if they weren’t so lazy with the story such as the rat. And weren’t relying so much on the fan service. So I feel overall infinity war is better.
Totally Agree🙏🏽
About time! Thanks Eric
Infinity war took everyone of guard, no one expected thanos to win.
Whereas endgame was a little more predictable as we knew the heroes would win, it was just a matter of how.
I can't decide what's better, both are Phenomenonal.
I can’t either , Infinity War is more Unique and Endgame is More Epic
@@jahsmoove8647
Endgame is far more unique, IW is just action after action after action
Infinty War is more epic. The fighting scenes in Infinty War are better choreographed than Endgame.
Great video but I like endgame just a tiny bit more
Yo me to
Justin Beaver me also
Me too
Endgame is super overrated
@@MrMonkey12333 True
I love the music during the conclusion. It’s the music that plays after Tony dies in Endgame!
Yep. I'm always very STRATEGIC wiith the use of music in ALL of my videos. 😊
Feel free to subscribe if you enjoyed the video as I would love to have you as a member of the channel.
15:45 "It was so forced."
Do you mean, it was so A-FORCEd? :> :> :>
A-Force was a overall failure, with it failing in quality and commercially
@@katiedelaney2390 plus, all captain marvel has to do is blast thanos' army
@@ncrawford5673 Exactly, even Scarlet Witch could do that.
Infinity war was wayyyyy better than Endgame!!!
What ?!!
@@mykusreviews4694 he's not wrong i love Endgame but holy shit Infinity War is so amazing
@@lofer9138 ya infinity war has more fight scenes and more action
And more thanos scenes
And alot better fight scenes
Infinity War had so much fighting my eyes glazed over a little. It did with Endgame too, but only towards the end, not throughout the entire film
Thanks Kyle. Will do. :)
Black widow is having her movie next year
