    Thank you so much Aaron! I discovered your channel a few weeks ago and I love watching your tutorials, that’s why I became a pro member. Your tutorials encouraged me to go big or go home; I went from removing lines to removing whole horses, cars etc. and recreating full background. You make frequency separation look simple and I think this was the tool I was missing. I am mainly an equine photography and removing big chunky halters was a nightmare. Can’t wait to try your tips and trics.

      The mixer brush with Frequency Separation is probably my favorite use of FS. I like how well you can blend colors and illumination underneath texture. I use low percentages (20% or less for Wet, Load, Mix and Flow) and set the brush to not pick up any color (brush icon with line through it). If texture layer is visible, make sure to uncheck Sample All Layers.

    Why not just use a Hue/Saturation Adjustment Layer for the step of matching skin color and give yourself less work in FS step? (For instance, when you fixed red skin blemishes that one time many moons ago by fine tuning the red selections.)

    • @haies09

      Median helps with edges during the blur process, allowing more radius if needed. Someone marketed FS with Median and called it FS2.0 😂, sad day

    You can tell that Aaron Nace is a professional for two reasons:
    1. He always uses non-destructive editing when it's possible.
    2. He points out that you should never remove anything that the client does not explicitly tell you they want removed. Always first ask the client if you're not sure.
    Also, if you want to learn to create your own frequency separation, there's a great Phlearn video here (though it might be a bit different than how they're doing it here):
    th-cam.com/video/ldhG9fmgC7o/w-d-xo.html
    EDIT: If anyone knows better methods of frequency separation, please let me know.

    You guys need to put more attention to the thumbnails.
    This "before and after" style, with such subtle changes, makes it really hard to tell what the video is about.
    The last video about adding drama and style, I could not tell the difference on my smartphone.
    I'm quite sure this is resulting in a negative impact on your views.

    • @silekiernanphotography
      @silekiernanphotography 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Erick, you should bring this up on you computer or laptop; Photoshop is not a phone app. The changes Aaron made are impressive.

    • @Erickhetfield
      @Erickhetfield 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@silekiernanphotography Just because Photoshop is a computer software, doesn't mean you have to watch PS related content on a computer.
      And the thumbnails are ineffective even on my 49" TV. Since it's not about size, but clarity.
