One of the best games ever made. When the first one came out on Sega I was blown away and glued to it like a crackhead lol I remember beating the game like the 2nd day I got it and played it so much I had to get another game. Still probably one of my favorite game systems ever too, because of the nostalgia but the simplicity was done so cleverly and it was just raw. I plan on getting a Sega Genesis just so I can play games like this, Batman, Ahh Real Monsters, Earth Worm Jim, TMNT, and I can keep going. MK on N64 was another classic too.

MK is definitely my favorite fighting game, and probably my second favorite franchise, only behind DC. I miss the 3D style of the PS2 era, and I’d love to see a full Kollection made for current gen consoles!

To me, MK feels like a comic book universe. Think about it. All the lore, all the characters, it's a world that expands so many games for over 30 years now that constantly keeps getting rebooted every 14 or so years, alternate universes. It makes sense for Variant Comics to cover this. Long live MK.
Shaolin monks is underrated. But I did really like deadly alliance because they killed a lot of main characters. That took balls

When I was growing up, i use to play street fighter all the time. When I was introduced to Mortal Kombat, I gave up street fighter and played mortal kombat that I even play up to now, after all I main Sub-zero and Scorpion.

Like Killer Instinct, Tekken, King of Fighters, Soul Calibur, Street Fighter, Darkstalkers, & Fighting Ex Layer series. They all have rich back stories and characters that'd be great to see on your channel.

My theory on why each individual ninja lost in Mortal Kombat 1995 movie (Scorpion, Reptile and Sub Zero) Now this is just my opinions and I would love to talk about them if you disagree rather then argue. "Scorpion"- Scorpion is a better fighter then Cage skill wise he has an even balance with his powers and hand to hand combat (Offence and Defense) as you see even in the movie he has Cage out classed but Scorpions biggest fault is his aggression, anger and vengeance (and this makes sense since he was resurrected out of these emotions) now don't get me wrong Scorpion has defense and will utilize it when he has a good offence going but because of his aggression he is always trying to stay on top of his opponent keeping them on the run but when he gets too aggressive he leaves holes and Johnny was able to spot them like Johnny knew that when he started swinging back and forth on the pole that Scorpion would just aimlessly charge in without thinking because he was getting mad leading to Scorpion's final mistake and doing his hell breath to finish off Johnny without thinking he just wanted to end things thus leading to his death. (Death by his own AGGRESSION) "Sub Zero"- Now a lot of people were mad because his fight was 2 minutes and he looked weak, I had this feeling as well I was so mad from as a kid to now but putting biesd opinions aside when you look at it, it's true he is weak (Strong to normal people but weak in the MK world) now keep in mind he is my favorite character. Sub Zero has just ok fighting skills he would top Kano but nothing more in hand to hand combat. Why? well the movie kind of elaborates this even when he fought the grunt that his whole base in power lies in his powers he has spent his whole life training his ice ability's mastering them but forgetting that his own human body is necessary as a fighting tool. Sub Zero has a good defense but he would rather intimidate his opponent that's why he does all the pointless flips and like when he tried to get higher ground on Kang, but Kang is a very experienced fighter and does not get shaken up easily and it shows that he is just far too much for Sub Zero's average fighting abilities, Sub Zero is also a one trick pony with his powers because it is always instant death when it his and Kitana knew this and knew that Kang would throw Sub Zero into a corner really quick and leave him to his ultimate move witch is also slow to charge giving Kang time to think. the death was a little overdone and dramatic, but whatever, lol. (Death by over reliant on powers) "Reptile"- Reptile is better then Sub Zero and Scorpion when it comes to Fighting Skills how you may ask well he is a lizard humanoid (I know he is made of something else but this is the easy way to explain) and naturally animals are stronger then humans but he also has intelligence and was able to be taught how to fight so this makes him very dangerous (Offence and Defense) he is faster and more angelic then Kang (I am not sure if he is stronger or not) and possesses amazing fighting skills and it clearly shows in the fight with them as Reptile wrecks Kang the whole time but his biggest fault was the human body he was given, animals are based off of constant adrenalin and lots of energy and high stamina as for humans we are not and Reptile was unaware of this and as soon as Kang flipped him and threw him he lost all his momentum, it hit Reptile that all the constant fighting, running and jumping caught up to him and that's why he was not able to defend himself anymore. (This shows a lot when Kang is getting ready for the bicycle kick that he is trying to catch his breath). (Death by stamina/not understanding the human body)
Heck yeah man, MK is the best fighting game series ever!! I agree. Great video man. Also, can we talk about the best video game theme song like ever?! There was also MK X and MK 11 mobile. For the animated movies, we're getting a 4th MK Legends movie called Cage Match with Johnny Cage next month takes place in the 80's looks wild. I enjoyed all the live movies except Annihilation honestly.

I was pissed that conquest was cancelled. It has one of the best cliff hanger endings on TV. It had a lot of production errors but it was enjoyable.
I love arcades so much, reminds me of my childhood! Seeing Tekken 3, Time Crisis 2, Marvel vs Capcom 2, House of the Dead, Mortal Kombat 4 and air hockey for good measure! Such a good time!

Definitely the first MK Movie was fire, deadly alliance I played as my first mortal Kombat game ever bought which liu dying in the beginning was shocking as hell and Snow blind with Kensei as a young Nightwing to a dark Knight returns style retired sub zero as his sensei was pretty awesome.
My favorite MK game is the second one. The sound effects and bright colors is what does it for me. But, I enjoy 1 through Trilogy. After that, it's a decline for me but I still love the series.

The 1995 film of course as the theme is so iconic that I not only recall it from on top of my head with out even thinking about it. Be it attentional or not, but also the 1 hour version that I found on TH-cam which it’s basically the theme on repeat for an entire hour. Makes the perfect background music to play whenever I’m playing TCCG Card Games in particular Yu Gi Oh.

Ahh thanks for this history! I loved playing MK 4 on my PC and always struggled trying to make the Finish Him moves haha. I remember the 1st movie too and that cartoon that came out. Bought it on VHS but was dissapointed that it was only 1 episode or soemthing like that. It was short and I can't remember why. Haha

Ah man I have the mk.9 arcade special edition, spent who knows how much on it. I remember mk1 being one of my first games as a kid. I had to rewatch mk9 video to remember the story as it has been so long. Recently replayed mkx, and working thru mk11 again in preparation for mk1. So excited

The greatest video game movie ever. I don't acknowledge the sequel. The reboot was pretty good.
There where some Guest characters in previous Mortal kombat games like 9 and X, like Kratos and Freddy Kruger where had that where playable characters in the character select screen, and Predator, Xenomorph alien and Jason voorhess were playable characters in Mortal kombat X with their story modes🛸⚡.
Forgot to mention the ‘92 MKI game lead to the creation of the ESRB rating system
