She was also cruel to Aisha and Norn, refused to elaborate or explain her actions, and used intimidation and brute force on her own family. I'm not saying she was evil, obviously not, but its not as clear cut as this short is making it. She was the catalyst behind her own failures every single time.

The way the story was said make Zenith mother seem very nice and when you read the novel (didnt read this part in LN) she doesnt seem likeable before the very end of this story arc

@@HakzerI mean Eris had to do what the others wouldn’t (like Rudeus wasn’t there and neither Sylphie nor Roxy would have punished them for doing stuff) and everyone agrees that Eris punishments are quite fair like she gives a little spanking if you constantly do mischievous stuff even tho they tell you not to do it.
Like Rudeus equivalent to a Eris would be Paul who separated Rudeus from Sylphie (cause how dependent she grew on Rudeus) and stuff and punished Rudeus for doing bad stuff (tho that didn’t really happened that often since Rudeus was a good child lost of the time)
Tho the exception would be Ars since Ars disappointed Eris greatly I mean I would be disappointed in my son if he started a relationship with his Aunt and most people take the thing with his arm a bit too serious like yeah not a good thing but ist not like it won’t get healed after a few seconds.

I still don’t like her. Even if her intentions were good she was an absolutely terrible person to Paul’s children. She alienated Aisha and belittled Norn by comparing her to Aisha, she essentially gave Norn her inferiority complex. She’s a big reason the rift between Aisha and Norm exists. She Kidnapped Zenith and when Rudues intervened she tried to gaslight him. She showed no emotion toward seeing her own Grandson who’s accomplished so much all grown up standing right infront of her. And worse of all even if her intention was to save Zenith it was never her choice to make. She didn’t talk to Rudues who after Paul’s death as the oldest Son is the head of the family, she essentially went out on a whim to save Zenith. It’s also funny because if she had paid any attention to Zeniths days as an adventurer she would’ve realized the rumored person who got cured from a veritable state was actually one of her own daughters best friends. Someone who traveller with Zenith by her side in adventures. She’s written to be really unlikable and being told that her intentions were good doesn’t change the fact that she tried to marry her disabled daughter off without anyone’s consent.
Same tbh. I can never forgive her for not f*cking communicating and screwing up every relationship she had. That might have been why Zenith left that household in the first place.
@@mercce6750 She is the reason Zenith left. Zenith was confined and its one of the reasons she went on to become an Adventurer to see the outside world. Once Zenith married Paul she basically disowned her and cut contact. During the Teleportation incident Paul essentially had to get on his knees and beg her to take Norn in and provide help to find her daughter. It honestly made me so mad when she tried to coarse Norn into her little puppet while Paul was trying so hard to find Zenith.

I will never forgive her for what she planned to do "for Zenith". Not only did she not consult Zenith's ACTUAL SON about it and straight up gaslit him, she also planned to do everything behind his back and to do "that" to your own daughter while not even considering other less extreme options are just unforgivable to me. And that's just what's relating to Zenith I have more than few of my gripes for her. She is an abusive zealous and it's a damn miracle her daughter still managed to forgive her even for what she was about to do.
For those who don't know (spoiler)
After learning about Zenith being cursed and how her case was similar to Elinalise (she doesn't know that Rudeus knows her). She plans to LET STRANGE MEN FUCK HER CATATONIC DAUGHTER. Desperate measure or not it's still unforgivable that she talked to no one about this. It not only ALMOST CAUSED A WAR, it was also just a gigantic case of "WHY THE HELL DIDN'T YOU JUST SAID SO?!".

It was over 200 years in the past she woke up in a mana crystal. She and Orsted got cursed but the curse affected them separately. She was Laplace's lover and had a huge Mana pool but due to her teaming up with Orsted to help Defeat Hitogami Laplace was split into 2 different entities she and Orsted got cursed with Orsted being feared by everyone and unable to properly regenerate mana. She had too much Mana and lost her memories and got sealed in a mana crystal. Perugus broke her free 200 years earlier but left her to wander around with no memories or information she found out the hard way that she needed to have sex constantly as a side effect of the curse and her bodies inability to properly circulate her mana. So yeah if she could properly train she'd be as big of a threat as Orsted if not even stronger due to her high mana output

U got orsted born 20,000 years ago father a god the literal dragon god & his mother the daughter of the original human god (not hitogami ).
Orsted existence alone godly I mean he got two gods blood lines close not like multiple generations his father the dragon god & grandpa on mother side the human god even with all his curses he could blow up the planet.
So comparing him -elf girl with a lil more mana than the average person is crazy she had less than lapalce or Rudy .
Orsted literally said 10 year old Rudy might have more mana than lapalce but he know for a fact that he rival lapalce that’s all imma say .
Yet orsted wash him we get a good example of this when sylphy was called this prodigy stronger than everyone with a lot of mana before Rudy came to the school .
Yet soon as Rudy came & was put against her without knowing it was her & sylph wanted to try her best to impress Rudy when he wasn’t tryin fr he still washed no diff her ahh 💀.

Having learned a bit more about Claire and her background, I guess her feelings are understandable in regards to Aisha and Lilia. Her daughter got cheated on and this resulted in her daughter having to share her husband with another woman(which goes against their faith), an illegitimate child being born and being raised in her daughter's home, and this illegitimate child being more talented then her own daughter child. The way she treats Aisha and Lilia maybe wrong since they're both accepted by her daughter Zenith, but its understandable.

Zenith from her perspective was beginning to suspect herself, She thought that something about her made her son and his mother fight, she saw Claire desperate, her mother's thoughts were ones of regret and pain.
The good thing is that the Miko intervened and clarified the misunderstandings and it was in that part where one became attached to Claire despite the damage she almost caused.

No. She partially recovered, lived a normal life in an elf village, and even got married. She discovered the curse later, probably after her husband died.

No. The curse is also a result of her being stuck in a mana absorbing crystal for a very long time. She was stuck for like a thousand of years, way longer than Zenith.

She was able to recover from the vegetative state normally, but it wasn't full recovery as she discovered later that she was cursed and it remained still.
