The Hawks should not be as underwhelming as they have been this year with the pieces they have. To me, they are way better on paper than their record would indicate. Idk what the problem is but it seems like they should figure it out. Quinn Snyder is a good coach too, he had Utah ballin out a few years back. Idk why this Hawks team plays so bad

It’s the defense. They need a young big who is a rebounding and shot block monster who can also score. Someone like Jalen Johnson but way bigger .(doesn’t have to be as athletic as Johnson). They allow to many easy shot in the paint and outside tryna jump lanes. Offense isn’t the problem but defensively we suck.If we score 115 we’re suppose to win not give up 140. They gotta start with baby steps and find a quater and make a consistent goal 1/4 quater they not scoring more then 20 as a team on us. They don’t touch up players they just let them free in no body checks or fouls just ready to get back on offense

What have you been watching? Hunter is a bust as a #4 pick. And other than Jalen no other truly valuable picks recently. Hunter and a lot of other guys can’t stay healthy. Capela is washed and too small. You have to be big or Athletic at center, the closest they have is Fernando, and he’s not starter caliber. And Quinn Snyder has done nothing that says he’s a good coach. Those Utah teams weren’t great. I don’t remember any significant playoff runs they had. The Hawks team and winning % was much better before he got there. Bad choice at coach, bad draft picks to build around Trae.

Dejounte has had no playoff run.
Luka and Tre game is very similar but Luka just bigger.
Trae took his team farther with less help. Luka is only better then Trae at rebounding tbh.

@@gary50900 That’s because key pieces keep getting Hurt. We ain’t have Capella for stretches, Okongwu was out dam near half the year, and our shooter Sadique Bey was out too. Then Jalen Johnson got hurt and was out at the end of yr. Capella can’t stretch the floor and doesn’t get enough rebounds/blocked shots. They need a big that can run the floor challenge every shot and get the rebound and push the ball down the court themselves. We don’t score enough fast real transition buckets.

Problem with the NBA now is you have way too many guys playing that Alpha 1 role that are no where near Alpha 1 level…these inflated stats skewed all of that. Trae puts up numbers but he’ll likely never be better than a 3rd option on a championship level team because he doesn’t impact the game off the ball offensively & can’t defend

You're tripping Wallace! You do know that Trae Young is amongst the leaders in the league in assists he passes the ball plenty. Should he take fewer shots in a game? The answer to that is yes but that's a different conversation than saying he's selfish because that's not true.

Hot headed like every star in the league. The Hawks haven’t built a real team around Trae. Hunter is mid and was a higher pick than where Trae was taken. He should be playing on an All Star level and he’s nowhere near. Last two first round picks have been in the G League half the time. That’s the real problem. Murray and Trae aren’t the issue, it’s the rest of the team.

Sheed didn't need to get empty stats on bad efficiency and take away from his teammates winning... played his role, made clutch shots and defended at a high level, and SMOKED the Lakers in the Finals. Guess why? Shaq was being triple teamed and was still good, but Kobe had a bullshit ego and thought he was good enough to take (and miss) a million shots instead of playing his role.
Big stats don't mean SHIT if you aren't winning.
A guy like Derrick White has "lesser" numbers than little Mice Trae, but he's a better in every sense, and the Celtics WILL be holding the Trophy in June, while Trae's Hawks take another L by not even making the playoffs. Oh but I bet you're impressed by that 20 and 10 garbage huh?

Yet Klay never ran a team at all or control a game, he scored and played some defense. He don't have to dribble when he had Steph,Dray and KD
