- The day has come to upgrade to a larger scooter and I have chosen a 2012 suzuki Burgman 650. This will be the 16th scooter/motorcycle I have owned. What can I say! I like buying stuff! I hope you enjoy.
My ex told me to get rid of my Suzuki 400 or she's going. I'm happy I kept my Suzuki 400 because it gives me more pleasure and no heart ache.

I had the same situation with a drum set.... I told my wife will get rid of you before I get rid of those drums.... And I did.... hahaha!
Great choice Larry, (Wes what were you thinking?..hahaha) I have the 2011 executive. and every time i take it out I ride it like i stole it. to date I have discovered the executive models like to feed on Harley 883's or at least mine seems to. I've outrun 8 so far. and converted two 883 owners. over the next year or so since covid has pretty much grounded any travel plans I had I'm going to be making some upgrade to my executive starting with the trunk and side caes from givi as well as the windshield, 1000 watt bluetooth sound system, louder horn, ram mounts, cup and phone holder, maybe even a corbin seat. and by then hopefully they will have gotten a handle on the virus thing.

Hey Larry I got a question for you I was wondering if the 2012 Suzuki burgman executive 650 has a place to plug in a hand held computer diagnostic that tells you why the check engine light is on? It diagnosis the problem your help is greatly needed thank you for your time and God bless you and your family stay safe 🙏🙏🙏
You need a mode selection switch and the book shows the part # 09930-82720 this puts it into diagnostic mode and allows codes to be read. I have never done this myself but got the info from the shop manual. I hope this helps.

I see you have a class C motorhome, do you carry your Burgie with you when RVing and if so how? I like the 650 but am considering a 400 due to weight issues on a rack for the back of my class A. Oh, and how has that car tire swap worked out?

How did your buddy blow the engine on the hooligan? Was interested in buying one, but not if they're low quality. Can you or he elaborate.?
After having one myself I am not a fan of the quality of these bikes. They seem to overheat quite frequently of course we were pushing them to their limits. For around town excursions they would be fine but anything more than that I would go with a Japanese Scoot. His seemed to be defective from the factory though and he ended up getting a new Engine.

Hey Mayhem , would you consider purchasing 2008 burgman 650 executive with 34,500 miles ? Superficially , it looks very good..........he's asking $2,900 , new tires , and grips with a box on back ? Obviously , I'll make a lower offer ! As far as things needing replacement , I'm thinking drive belt , and brake pads . I value your knowledge and opinion ! , THanks , Joe
joe doakes I think if it’s been well maintained and taken care of IE the maintenance has been kept up etc. you may find that it’s a good deal. Especially if you can talk them down a little. Good luck👍
joe doakes I bought a 2009 650 with 40,000 miles mint condition, I drove from Ohio to Pittsburgh 3 times no issue👍 I love it😀

Michael Ansley Welcome to the channel! Those covers are made by MCL. I’m not sure if the company still exists these were on the bike when I bought it and they’re all aluminum anodized. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching my friend!

I'm going to test ride a 2009 , 650 with 5,000 miles ! Guy says he'll take $3300 . It's 180 mile drive to get there and he assures me it has never been laid over , original tires and in excellent shape . THE only add on is a box on the rear . Any advise for a closer look beyond a test drive !? How much for new tires and drive belt ? , thanks in advance
joe doakes If it’s a 650 the drive belt is considered a lifetime drive belt and it’s a major task to change it. So don’t worry about the drive belt. New tires will probably cost you about $60-$80 apiece depending on whatType you get. Sounds like a great deal though if the bike is in good shape. I would change all of the fluids as soon as I bought it though just to have a good starting point.
Thanks for your reply ! Well , I found out it has ~10,500 miles , double what he said it had.......I'm going to pass for now . I've since found a listing for a 2009 , supposedly with ~500 miles......priced at $4,900. It's an Exec. , I'll find out Monday morning if the bike is still available . Think I'll offer $4,300 or so and see what happens . It's been listed for a while so I can't imagine WHY it hasn't sold already . Every bike has a story as to whey it sits and doesn't sell . THanks for your advise .
I think it's awesome how to Broast can share the love of the scooters and make it really look cool I'm thinking about getting a Burgman 650 executive I like motorcycles but I like the automatic trans better so keep up the good videos about this video very useful and very entertaining

Btw, my 2011 burgman has 13000 miles, it’s got a boat radio installed, not the best aesthetically but kind of cool. And the best part? I paid 2700 for it! I live in Utah and my local honda dealer got this scooter on trade and had it for almost a year without any luck selling it. So they gave it to me for 2700 with everything incluided, tax, registration, and license plate. Am i lucky or what? 190 dollars a year to insure!

No doubt about it my friend. I will definitely update you as soon as I become a Burgman owner.
When the weather is dry, you can just get on and go; when the weather is wet, all you need is some waterproofs and you remain dry. I have found that under adverse weather conditions (like we always have in central Europe) you can ride very comfortably.

Martin Neps I paid $5,500 used but you can find them much cheaper. You just have to look around. Mine had very low miles on it too.

2012, I wouldnt wait, buy anything from 2017 onwards, they wont be updating it from the 2017 model

Im having trouble putting my center stand down.This was the first time I tried it.Is there a trick to putting it down?
Michael Polkabla I usually stand on the foot step of the pedal with all of my weight as I pull firmly up on the side grab handle. I hope this helps.

Paul Dykstra They are a Taiwanese import.They are imported by Genuine scooter company. Genuine also has imported scooters from India as well. I don’t recommend the hooligan unless you are using it for short excursions. Stick to the big four. Great question thanks for watching👍

Is not scooter. Engine is not mounted on the back wheel but in the frame it’s motorbike.
